You're still getting tomatoes?
yes. There is a half dozen tomato plants that have outgrown their cages and the extender support. I'm guessing they are 8'-10' tall. These plants quit blooming during the 100 degree days but now that the temps are back into the 90's the top half of the plants are covered in blooms and green tomatoes. In a raised bed that was filled with pepper plants, I allowed a volunteer tomato plant to grow, and it is coming into its prime. That single plant is producing 1 to 3 tomatoes a day. I’m not sure of the variety, but I think it might be an heirloom. The tomatoes are massive—about 4 to 6 inches in diameter—and taste incredible. I plan to save some seeds for planting next year. This is the first year in forever that I don't have small cherry type tomatoes. By the time I planted my favorite varieties there wasn't any room for them. Maybe next year. So far, the tomato harvest for this year is 248. There are 2 more months of growing time before the first frost. I've started planting for the fall and winter garden to distract me from the sadness of the summer garden ending.

DS17 is heading out on a three-day adventure with Jesse, an older friend he has worked with multiple times over the past year. They’re traveling to a remote area to cut wood for a woman who lives in a home off the grid. The 2 fellas will be camping out in tents. DS17 bought an air mattress at the dollar store in anticipation of having a better sleep surface. DS17 might not be fully prepared for such primitive living, it will likely be an eye-opening experience that highlights how easy life with modern conveniences like running water and electricity can be.

My internet is not thriving, so I’m typing on the phone.
I’ve been playing phone tag with tech support today.
Maybe I’ll get it back before the weekend is over.

I, however, have been thriving!
— did laundry
— cleaned bathrooms
— emailed ENT for allergy refills
— began study for Wed. Night class
— went to my bank
— went to dmom’s bank
— went to post office, paid water bill
— went to dgs’ ballgame (they lost, dgs didn’t get in, it’s ok)
Tomorrow is another day.
