helian, congrats on getting ready for dbro. I hope it is a good visit with your mom. Staff at my Mom's NH have noticed how she isn't doing as well since ddog died. Tonight a resident came to me and said same thing. He is aware that she is withdrawn and spends her time hugging and petting the toy Peke I gave her.
My landscape guy came today.
FACE - State and federal taxes paid and mailed
DS went up on roof to get acorns off - and told me I need new shingles.
So I have 1 roofer coming tomorrow, another on Monday and a 3rd on Tuesday for bids. This just means I have ALOT! I need to do, because my plans were to get a bathroom ceiling fan in when I do the roof next - which I was planning on a 2-3 years! And I have to check on TV antenna as well, because when roofer is up there, ... well.... the antenna I have is 60 years old. And the co-ax cable is maybe 40 years old and stiff.
I successfully fasted today, to start a diet to lose 20 pounds.
Need to get up early tomorrow as landscape guy is coming back, and the roof guy is coming early also for the first bid.

Doggedly, I looked for a name of the drinking glasses on Etsy and found “Indiana Colony Gold Glass Goblets Whitehall Pattern, Cubist Style Vintage 1970s” so that might give you a photo of the glasses I got, mine are green, with matching dessert cups, same pattern just shorter. And I found clear ones so got those as well. I remember using them in the 70s but not which color mom had. They were very popular so most people owned some and they came in different colors.

No, Bama, after I ate the cake, I had other food that day. Ham sandwich, milk, and I baked cookies , shared them with the NH staff.
