Well my morning got sidetracked in a good way. I had my soak and put some cleaner in the shower. Sat down with my journal for a bit and dd called. Nice visit with her for an hour almost. Then ds and ddil and dgs drove in the yard. They had seen one house and a short break between the rest. 2 more in a row. He decided to call his sister and ask her something so got to visit all my kids for a bit.
Except they came in on my still disaster house. Oh well. I got sweet baby snuggles. Grandma needed that.
Ds 15 is hungry now. Making us oatmeal and then I got to get something done.
Finish the rest of that and then kitchen.

Fruit tray for tomorrow

Re: Stromboli Saturday
still overwhelmed with all there is to do.
just had time to check for helian's post about her mom.
Sending as much supportive prayers as I can for you during this difficult time. Your Mom is strong. Is she taking in any liquids, or unable to swallow? Not to force, hunger and thirst dwindle suring this time, hospice has probably told you, and forcing just causes disconfort.

Re: Stromboli Saturday
((Gma)) You always have a lot going on with your mom and your friends and other groups you're a part of. You're very thoughtful to think of me and my mom. She cannot swallow at all. Last time I tried to give her water was on Monday; I wasn't sure she got any down and the tiny bit of yogurt (like 1/2 tsp) I gave her almost caused her to choke. They started her on end of life comfort meds on Wednesday -- only, it sounds like she hasn't actually gotten any meds. Huh. I thought she was on meds.
Now, I'm confused The Hospice nurse today was very helpful. She said the meds were on an "as needed" basis, and she ordered a little morphine for Mom. Her vitals are still good today, but yesterday, they weren't as good, and she guessed she might have been in pain. The regular hospice nurse interpreted those signs differently.
Are you making fresh bread L Ann?
What a lovely sidetrack, Lauralind. Is ds looking to move closer to you?
I agree trissie; sports attire runs super small. A size L is a size M in any other line of clothing. Did you find a good plum crumble recipe? Sounds so good!
Hi Peaches!
I hope your day is going well and your floor is lava-free, Doggedly.
I will try to go for a walk next. I'm stuck here for a while until my lol is finished and I can put it in the dryer.
Next:
- walk?
- darks --> dryer
- gather stuff and go sit with Mom again; will the morphine make a difference
Later:
- payroll: planning out next week
- read book
- will dd27 stop by?
- jog
- darks: w d f pa
- will I see AC?
- dinner: tamales (or something else from freezer), rice, green salad
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps -- try to do this today
TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- email reply to CE
- email deletions + weather website - high of 76*F today
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- made bed
- kitchen reclaimed; dh helped too
- gather stuff and otd
- 11-2-ish sit with Mom
- some qt
- payroll: posted pic to help explain a concept
- progress knitting
- chatted with hospice nurse
- home; lunch
- looked up P/T bill for Mom - another one came; the payment must have crossed it in the mail
- paid my own co-pay for urgent care visit (Lyme disease)
- laundry sorted; darks washing

Re: Stromboli Saturday
Hello, everyone!
Trissie, those pictures of work attire were fascinating. Particularly do the men. When we were first married, DH would wear his attire to the office. Over the years it's become more and more casual -the tie was the first thing to go- and now it's t shirt and jeans in winter and t-shirt and shorts in summer. ( I had to insist he wore at a button down shirt when he was on a zoom interview panel a few months ago , painting out that a blue t shirt with the slogan "I've just survived another meeting that should have been an email" across the front was not appropriate!)
FFB, over here in places like John Lewis you can book a (free) appointment for a personal shopper to guide you to what suits you best. (My nephew-in-law does this, as he has a high flying job and will admit to no dress sense and no interest either, but has to look smart and put together for work. And it seems to work for him.)
Helian, I'm glad you're able to do some soothing things to occupy your hands and mind while sitting with your DMum.
Laura, how lovely to spend time with your family and especially little J.
How old will the twins be, L.Ann?
Dogged, how wise to have easy clean flooring!
Waving to Gma and Peaches!
DH made bacon sandwiches for lunch, using bacon from the butcher we hope to use once ours has retired. This afternoon I did some weeding and deadheading, had a chat with Dneighbour S, and then finished topdressing the pots of bulbs and planted some more pansies and the violas. I still have 3 boxes of pansies and my free bag of dwarf daffodil bulbs to plant, but that's for another day, and I'm happy with what I got done.
I e prepped lunch for tomorrow and baked my coffee tray bake. Jude is on my lap now, so I had better give her my full attention!

Re: Stromboli Saturday
Helian ds is here. They have been in a rental in town till June and then moved out of it to save the rent cost and living in his fifth wheel trailer that he permanently set on dad's campsite area. But they need a house before winter. Anywhere in the area. They wanted out of town but today they looked at a couple in town cause they were a bit cheaper. It's got to be one they can live in a few years and then get what they really want. He makes really good money but first time. Plus they already have a loan. Can only get low level mortgage.
Well we have apple pie filling. Waiting for it to coolant bit and then we can make a couple pies. I checked the rhubarb. I think I'm going to tell dh to mow that one off. It's only 6 fine stalks. Buried in the grass. Maybe it would come back better? I put a new root in my garden by the house this year that looks like it's working.
Resting a bit and coffee. Then decide what else to do.
Except they came in on my still disaster house. Oh well. I got sweet baby snuggles. Grandma needed that.
Ds 15 is hungry now. Making us oatmeal and then I got to get something done.
Finish the rest of that and then kitchen.
Priority list
Fruit tray for tomorrow
Music prep and organized and practice
Basic routines
Kitchen clean with ds Help
Sheets for dad from store
Sort his Sheets he thinks the ones my sister had are all king( they're not)
Declutter his jars
Garden produce dealings
Freeze some dill
Blanch and freeze kale
Pull onions and carrots
Check rhubarb in the back can I still use
Make apple pie and maybe rhubarb berry pie and ds wanted to try sausage rolls
Cukes ?
Figure out what to do with herb pots
Put away potatoes into closet
Today's tada list
Coffee and break for a bit
Switch laundry
Roll pies and bake
Sweep everywhere
Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Wipe counters and table etc
Send garbage out with dh
Soak when dh leaves
Clean that shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some
