Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC

Three Cheers for Thursday! What Three Things can you do to cheer on this gloomy week here?

Name 'em, do 'em, and cheer on for Thursday!

Hi, Twins'.

Sewing would be top of my 3 for a CHEER-ie Thursday. I left things last evening in such a way that it's very obvious what the next step will be, so I'm not spending any time reinventing a plan.

Also, I still haven't fully "digested" that topic of yours from yesterday. I want to puzzle over that a bit - sounds promising!

I've already done a third cheery item - invited dd27 for lunch tomorrow. It's likely she can't do it on short notice, but it puts the idea into both our heads to plan for it when we can.

Frustratingly, I have appts at 8:45, 9:30 and then a looooong wait for a third at 1:30. Rather than go home and come back or sit around aimlessly, a nice lunch out would spend the time well.

As I said yesterday, this is a busy day, with body work, then dcleaning lady, and later a workout. Also need to pick up script today - I forgot on Monday. We forgot to start dishwasher last night so it's running now. I'll have dcleaning lady make up the upstairs bed with fresh sheets, but I still need to wash the ones that came off.

I was up before 7 a.m. and it was still mostly dark but I puttered about some. Dog is walked, I'm eating fruit and yogurt and have house mostly ready for dcleaning lady. And have a list for her.

Heading out to body work. My hip, which has been pretty good, was achy walking ddog this a.m., so I'm glad I'm going today.

Wishing I had time right now for some creativity. May use this evening when dh is out for that purpose, also straighten up those two desks a little.

spent the day and evening at the hospital after brother told me to get there. she was not able to breath - he was upset that dds were coming- "it was supposed to b simple" per him. they wanted to be there
dd older came in and dd younger (even though she had her surgery recently) came bc mom couldn't breathe -
Mom is very very sick - she got a blood infection from her gall bladder etc. area -
He heart and lungs not good - her numbers are better this morning - I know she doesn't want to be this way.
mom is a fighter.
I have a prayer that she goes in her sleep fast

dd older slept at the hospital - her biggest fear is that mom will be alone - we all were around her - even her one helper who sees her as a grandmother came.she is in trouble w work
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I had a bit of panic overwhelm even though I am not doing anything yet.

I am going to pull my card file
my plants are dying outside bc I haven't been available to water them.

think simple, grateful and loving to reduce panic stagnation -
take another 15 minutes and have another cup of coffee
pull 3 x 5's
start with s2s

take a moment for thankful prayer
think: mom of course
watering birds outside
dogs
put away

brother told us that he has the prostate cancer - found early but he will either have to have surgery/radiation/chemo - I don't know. - and also has a heart murmur and a hernia - hard to believe for such a fit healthy person. Girls offered to help - drive etc. It's the last thing he wants but I am glad they offered and were sincere.

simplicity:
EASE
UNCOMPLICATED -
NATRUAL
OPEN
it is always a joy to be here with you!

((((Blessedw2))) so much going on with your loved ones. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I've been using the 1-2-3 method recently, and it's been helpful as a butt glue solvent IYKWIM. It's straightforward and keeps me from overthinking everything.
Pick 3 cards
Mentally count.
1
2
3
then say GO and I get started.

LadyM, similar to my "five things" listing sometimes. Mix of easy and harder so I can knock some off and get some momentum.

Body feels good - Right now I'm not aching like I was, for instance, back the summer. Hoping I can keep myself this way while doing the RH prep work. We've tallied forty or so people attending including us.

Bw2, so hoping your brother's prostate cancer is treatable. Many men live with years with it because it's slow to progress. And echoing Nancy's wise words...
Praying for God's mercy for Bw2 & family in this time.
I need to empty the dishwasher and finish straightening up.
