Waving to all! Glad you had some nice stuff jump your way, lauralind, you deserve it too! :-)
helia, glad you have a low-key day to concentrate on everything that must be done right now!

Home from work. Picked up DBD and then we went for the weekly grocery run, so I will not have to do that tomorrow. Grocery shopping with an 8 year old is not as bad as grocery shopping with four kids aged 1 to 7 (oh the memories of that one summer when I tried to do it without having DH involved), but I still prefer to do it on my own, but it doesn't work with my current schedule!

TaDas
- morning madness
- day at work
- pick up DBD
- grocery run

ToDos
- morning routine
- put away groceries
- homework time

Hello, all. I am up and trying to avoid dissolving into a puddle of inactivity, so will try to keep my replies short. Germane is doing her best to help by pooping if I look too comfortable or am halfway through eating a mouthful, so I have to jump up and deal with it.

Thank you for your help, trissie. I hope that your dd8 is more help than hindrance on your shopping trip.

Enjoy your parish lunch, Kittykatt.

Hi, L.Ann. Have a good day with Little Bit.

A busy day with very mixed duties for helia. I hope that it all goes well.

It's great when the sales cooperate with you, Lauralind. WTG on your purchases.

Thanks, Bama. It really felt like an epic undertaking, not just a sink. But it is vanquished and behaving itself now.

Main goals for today:
Buy Germane's play pen in prep for our visit to my db
Grocery shopping because the store is in the same shopping center
Check in with df whose birthday is today, to see if today is a good day to call or if she is busy with birthday celebrations.

Hello everyone!

L.Ann, I'm sure Little Bit enjoys the extra time with her Grandma.

Yay for a good night's sleep, Helia, especially with a busy day ahead.

WTG accomplishing grocery shopping, even with "help", Trissie!

Laura, your new clothes sound lovely! I'm glad you're treating yourself well.

WTG mastering your sink, Dogged!

It's been a very good day. It started well, as I was able to catch Dneighbour R, who fixed the garage gutter, thank him and slip him some cash (he protested, but I don't want him to feel taken for granted). I managed to hoover the day and walk down the the vet and back before church, to drop off the chocolates and card for the team who dealt with Freddie, and also book his and Jude's next appointments. (Funny story, I saw the nurse who looked after Fred when they woke him up after his sedation. Apparently straight away he was growling and telling his care-givers to "go away" and "stop talking to me"! She was giggling as she told me this.

Parish lunch went smoothly - there were five of us, and DF E 99 yo had a great time. Then I had my podiatrist appointment, and when I finally got home the weather was still dry and I was able to prune another rose. Oh, and I've booked our parish lunch for next month, so that's another job done.

Waitrose have delivered and the groceries are PA , and everyone has been fed. No phone call from the vet, so maybe I'll get Fred's test results tomorrow?

I'm going to have to go back an see what everyone has been doing. My week has been full with landscape and planning roofer. Plus my mother being + ffor COVID. Furtunately she is doind well. I have never been much of an outside worker, but I have plenty of work to do now that the contractor has left - he told me the yard would be a mess, and that he would put in dirt and seed, but I would have to water it.
so I spent 2 hours yesterday - until dark - working on watering plan, and I have spent __ hours today continuing to execute the plan and water the seed. My dirt is dry like poweder, so I watered heavily - it iwll just be one watering today, and future will be shorter but twice.
I still have 2 perennial flowers to plant, and some tulip and daffodils to put into the ground. I think the bulbs willhave to wait until tomorrow - I am reaching the end of my energy, and I can't cook supper for myself until I do something about my kitchen!

That's a lot of time watering, Gma. All the flowers sound beautiful! I think our daffodils have died out. Glad your mom is doing well.
Did you get your early night, Kitty? Smart to post your list for tomorrow. I might try that. LOL @ the vet nurse! She obviously loves Freddie.
I hope your errands went well, Doggedly.
Ah, that makes sense L Ann. So happy you have vacation coming up!!
WTG on the groceries with DBD after a full day of payroll, trissie. When my kids were small, I went to great lengths to avoid grocery shopping with all 3. I do remember a few times with an infant in the carrier in the middle of the cart - that greatly diminished the amount of groceries I could put in the cart, a 2yo in the seat of the cart (who was a little houdini and could climb out of anything), and a 4yo whom I told to walk and hold on to the cart. I would occasionally end up purchasing random items that the kids would put in the cart when I wasn't looking. LOL!

I've accomplished most things on my list. It's kind of dark to walk - and I did do my training work out. It's just nice to walk as well. But I think I'll focus on laundry and payroll now.

List of main Todos:
- edit obit and send it + photo to funeral home
- cards to Mom's friends ready for the mail
- payroll: make Baamboozle game with sentence grammar
- Walk?
- 1:20 - 1:40-ish payroll: phone call with director
- 2-3 work out with AS

- Finish laundry: lights f and p/a; towels w d f pa
- order/ buy groceries @ Kroger
- dinner: peanut chicken, rice, a veggie

Next:
- lights: tumble press, f, and p/a
- payroll: make baamboozle game

Later:
- make bed
- payroll: make Baamboozle game
- payroll: grade HW
- payroll: start prep for IW D5
- update health apps
- anything else?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- obituary edited
- photo added
- sent off to funeral home + an extra email
- some qt
- reclaimed kitchen
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- lunch
- 1:20 payroll: phone call with director -- I may not teach next session as I'll be taking 1 week off for the birth of my grandbaby
- ordered groceries
- 2-3 work out with AS (didn't walk as time didn't work out)
- put away groceries
- cards to mom's friends who kept in touch a little -- ready for the mail
- duolingo
- dinner: peanut sauce, chicken, rice, mixed veggies (I forgot to order a fresh veggie)
- after dinner clean up

Nooooo, sun come back! It's too early for you to set. That's the bad part about a great time of year. I'm never ready for shorter days.

Hi, L.Ann. I take it that Little Bit is more Little Helper and less Scoop All Sugary Items Into The Cart?

LOL, Kittykatt, if anaesthetic breaks down our inhibitions, Freddie was telling us that the Freddie they have been seeing, is the real, true Freddie!
I hope that things went well at the podiatrist.

Your yard will be beautiful once you have the landscaping all done, Gma, but clearly plenty to do before then.

Thursday
Cleaned up after dog
Benedryl and treats for Germane
Swept out Germane’s pen
Fresh water for Germane
Lined Germane’s pen with pee pads
Probiotic and treats for Germane
Settled Germane in her pen
Went to pet store. Tried out playpens and soft crate until we found the one advertised. Set it up.
The bottom had mold on it.
Set up another one: it was clean.
Bought it with my 20% off coupon.
Went to the grocery store in that mall. Went crazy spending much too long buying everything in the store. Got many things on my shopping list.
Packed the groceries in the car.
Went to the bakery in the same shopping centre and got a Lebanese pastry (beef and onion in puff pastry). Had a bit of it in the car, as I was starting to get a little vague and wobbly.
Home again, home again, jiggety jig
Brought up the first load of groceries
Freed my very good dog who was NOT howling until she heard me coming up the hall and then quieted right down to receive praise for being a good quiet girl. It must have been some other dog I heard.
Treat for Germane
Put away cold groceries
Ate some more of my Lebanese pastry

Those little shoppers are quick, helia. I remember finding a motorcycle in my pocket after shopping in the dollar store with a toddler. I didn't find it until I was home, so I just asked them to ring up an extra dollar then next time that I was there.

I think a lot of it is that DD32 has more diet restrictions, Dogged. I also find it easier to be firmer as a grandmother about some things than I was as a mother on one hand and worry less about the little things on the other hand. It is an interesting dynamic. Little Bit is home and I am getting ready to listen to my fall book preview podcast.😊
