You are right, trissie. They did me a favour in more than one way. The rain was trickling when I was out, but it's coming down in earnest now that we are settled back home. To be fair, slow mornings are more rare for you than they are for me, so a good trade from where I sit.
And speaking of things that are good where I sit, I have sampled the cottage roll and mmmm.... delicious! And $5.00/lb instead of $16.

trissie, there was some sort of work being done on the parking lot, although I couldn't see anything different this morning, except for a huge puddle in the middle where it's not draining well. We will eat around 7 pm tonight, after my 6:30 zoom call.

Bama, I can't believe it's fall already! Our school is for adults only (sometimes in name only LOL!). They come to us from all over the world to learn English for various reasons: some want to get into a US university. Some are spouses of grad students. Once in a while we get a grad student, but the university has its own program, which some of our teachers have taught at or teach at concurrently. (They tend to like teaching at our school more. ) Some want to improve their English for their jobs in their home countries. Some Japanese companies connected to the car industry in our state send their businessmen to us -- not so much right now. We also have several corporate clients and teach business English classes to their non-native English speaking employees, but I stay away from those as my interests are more purely academic English. Our school provides student visas.
I'm not sure we have cottage rolls here, Doggedly.

Thanks for your well wishes. The class went pretty well for the observation, all things considered. The students were pretty sharp but a bit subdued today. One spirited student had stayed up until 2 a.m. talking to her adult son on the phone.
