New Project CI
I have the old desk empty and out of the room.
Some pieces of new desk are in there.
Rounded up hammer and screwdrivers for doing it.
Power tools not recommended just my kind of project.
This is great for learning new things!
Let the adventure begin!
-----
Taking a breather have a section together;
almost half way through the instructions the project is only
about 1/4th of the way done however.

Got my steps in for the day.

Perhaps she would enjoy taking a drama class if her school offers it.
I thought the same. Our small school doesn’t offer a drama class, but there’s a private one about 20 miles away. I’ve taken DD14 to a couple of their performances, hoping to pique her interest, but it’s been a firm no every time. DD14 loves being on stage but isn’t a fan of the social side of interacting with others.

DH had a successful quarterly diabetic checkup with an A1C of 5.3. I really appreciate this family doctor’s office because they take their time, listen, and are willing to answer multiple questions, even if they’re not directly related to the visit. In addition to the discussion about diabetes, we talked about TGA/TIA, bladder issues, the pros and cons of reducing some of DH's medications, and whether or not to get the flu shot and the timing of getting it (recommended waiting until 2nd week of October).

DS17 has called four times this afternoon, seeking advice on various aspects of cattle care. I doubt many people realize just how much effort goes into raising beef cattle, with every detail carefully considered. Their feed is constantly assessed and adjusted to ensure maximum nutrition. DS17 got the wrong Eddi blocks and had to return to the coop and get the right ones with different minerals.

d lady your dd - sounds like such a creative soul! that is so cool.
I am so happy your dh has such good drs.
I agree - most people don't know much about cattle care. my sis in law raised beef cattle for most of their time on the farm.

taking a break for a minute -
ate lunch - too big
had to deal with a lot of texts and dealing with others feelings
time to even out my own emotions.
I will sit for a bit and then put the laundry away.

antibiotics havne't come -
sanity is being pushed quite a bit ;)
I will do self care
do something so that I don't fall down that hole
it will be okay.
------------
I found this poem - sounds like a good one when adversity happens

I will rise
After every fall.
I will rise
And stand tall.

I will rise
Over the wall.
I will rise
Above them all.

Like the sun,
Which never dies.
Though sets every night,
Every day it does rise.

Like the ocean
Whose tides
Many times they are down,
But invariably they rise.

Like the trees,
From seeds they arise,
And heights great
They rise and rise.

After falling once,
Twice and thrice,
Again and again
I will rise and rise.

I will rise
After every fall.
After every fall
I will rise.

((Ramblin')), so sorry about your clobbered knee! A tough day with a melt down and rain on your plans, too.

Nancy, so will this be your new sewing placement for the machine? Hope it works out very well. HRH is also hoarse with sniffles - allergies, maybe.

We were both late sleepers this morning, without knowing why. He was up to make sure Tobias was fed this morning, but headed back to bed. I got up before him, then, but even so my morning was too short. Is it possibly the dip in temp, or the general dreariness of the day, lack of morning sun... ..

Still, the dailies are done.
Some basting on the sewing project is underway. Hopeful.

Thank you for the quote, Twins'.

I assure you, blessed, you are remarkably sane! It will take a lot more than a push to change that.

LadyM and lucylee are probably home from doctors by now, free from that constraint.

just found out my brother put mom down as her going on hospice - we were supposed to bring her home and see hospice on Tuesday per him to get an idea. - he took dd older off her meds/phone calls/everything - she is my person for that. found out that he put his name as the trustee for me - not dd's - they can't ask any questions
dd called and said they took her off a procedure that they recommended - with it then she won't get another blood infection. why he put her through getting her better - he doesn't understand how all this works. I am shocked.

sigh

dd older is upset but I told her that this will be a calm house for mom. dd is shock that he did this.

strength! be the light house ;) as best as I can be.

I had a great workout and I'm tired. Trainer kept me moving from one thing to the next so I got a lot in. Probably need to lie down on the floor flat on my back for awhile to help it out. After the workout went by the temple to drop off desserts and also leave a check. Office admin not in office, "picking up a child" (her kids are adults so this must be a grandchild?) so left checks and note - sealed up checks within note. Then went by cemetery and walked through. Several questions there that I need to address to cemetery chair person guy. (Sunken grave when the stone is supposed to be laid soon, pile of brush that s/b disposed of, fire ants need to be addressed...) Delayed in getting to the temple by traffic accident, had to go around and took awhile. Didn't get home until past four and I've been sitting here. Meeting online in an hour.

Harriet the dreariness of the day yesterday was one reason for my nap. I was inexplicably cold too, and getting into bed is always so comfortable and warming. Glad Tobias was fed on timely basis, lol.

So sorry about the sanity, bw2.
sanity is being pushed quite a bit
I feel for you guys dealing with dbro. Is he angry at your mother for something in his childhood? Has he always been this way? Just let his words slide off when you can.

LadyM, wonderful check up for LordM. Do you mind if I ask if insurance covers his CGM, and whether he takes insulin? (Just say so if you'd prefer not to answer, please!)

You are stretching your skills, Nancy! I used to be able to put things together but that was a long time ago when I was single. Dh handles it now, with many complaints...

RR, I hope the ice helps your knee. Owie! I know that hurts. I feel for you with Sweetie's meltdowns. This disease is horrible.

Oh, bw2, your brother is just acting so erratic! Could the hospital minister facilitate a meeting for the two of you with hospice so he understands better?

Thanks Twins.
Harriet yes hoping for a sewing machine area that accommodates a better more comfortable chair.
If not I can put the other desk back with some 2'x4' about 12" long under it bc it's fine on the dolly but
that is not going to be stable enough I would think.
On a break now.

(Bw2 & family) Sorry you all have to be going through this difficult season.
Glad for you saying it will be a place of peace for your mom.
