It's close to 90 degrees F here. Very unusual for this time of year. Some leaves are changing colour. Dh and I spent some time in the garden. Picked enough beans for supper. Dh also picked ten small tomatoes and 4 massive green/red peppers.

Dh is watching the Bills game now. I think it's almost over. I had a nap earlier. Dh tried to have one, but says he didn't. At one point all the cats were sleeping and dh was sleeping on the couch. His head was tilted at that uncomfortable looking angle and his mouth was open and making noises. Sure sounded like he was sleeping.

I will be BBQing supper in another hour.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

We decided on making a grocery order. If we had gone out, we had sort of wanted to go further to that store I mentioned - Ollie's. But I looked through all their offerings I could find and decided their ideal customer was a man with kids in tow, not me. (automotive and tools - check. Toys and kid's crafts - check. Things for me, not much.) And even though I might still have gone for the fun of HRH finding something, he said the drive was just not worth it.

Groceries are put away.

The drip-dries are hung up.

Worship service online was a 3-pager (3 pages of notes!). These were from the Assoc Pastor's children's sermon all the way to the Senior Pastor's main message. Message included thoughts from not only The Karate Kid, but Lord of the Rings, lol, so definitely aimed at HRH. I even wrote down the book the Assoc read to the children and may put that on my wish list considering children's or shower gifts in future, plus one for my shelf for when children come or when I just need to quote it!

Something astonishing must have happened right near end of service, before last hymn. The close-up camera was in use then and you could only see Music Pastor and one musician. They were both staring with mouths open and eyebrows up. Musician jumped up and ran to the side. When he came back, there seemed to be a general relief, and they went on with the singing. Gee, one of the times I really miss being in the place in person! Another was when the lady in charge of yesterday's fund raiser made her report and they made SO much money, so I miss not being part of things to have been there, or, really, to have been informed about it upcoming. Oh, well.

The storms (Atlantic) are going to do a right (east) turn after FL so we are just looking at rain, and it won't be so bad. We will be soppy wet for our appts later in the week, but won't need umbrellas.

I've napped.
Dson came over and secured the back shutter closure on the potting shed.
It's a relief to have that done, we caught up on news too.

Not sure about my dinner maybe a tomato & cheese sandwich.
My fav. nite for shows.

Talked to DD and put an update in the J & C thread.

I guess I had a day of rest, family, and fun today, but I am not feeling so great right now.
Dbil and his wife both skipped Sunday School because they had the "crud," she told me in church. I was only sitting close enough for conversation for about one minute. She got up and left soon after the service started, because she was coughing so bad. They did not go to the football game yesterday, but she was around a crowd of people, helping with a wedding tea.
One lady in Sunday School class was home sick, and her husband said they were staying on different levels of the house. I don't know what kind of sickness she has... but that makes me wonder if something is going around, because --

Tonight I started coughing, and I feel a little achy all over. It's the kind of cough that makes your head hurt every time you move it. I've taken some Dayquil capsules (because I'm out of Nyquil), some Imodium (because that has been a constant problem all weekend), and I took my Paxil. Now I feel nauseated.

I haven't been in close contact with anyone except this afternoon. Dcousin texted all the family and asked if we'd like to get together to eat at the Mexican restaurant for her daughter's 16th birthday. That was nice -- we had a good crowd.

Otherwise, I have just lay around and napped most of the afternoon. I have had both dgrands since Friday night (ddil picked them up around 4:00, after we got home from the birthday party.)

I don't know what to do about tomorrow. Dfriend and I are supposed to meet for lunch, but if I am sick, I don't want to spread it around... OTOH, I am determined to go to dgs' ballgame tomorrow night, so I don't want dfriend to think I'm just cancelling lunch for no good reason.
Tomorrow is another day.
