my cousin got married at 17 for him and just 16 for her, he married a lovely girl and it was hard (they were expecting) it was a real struggle at first but they are happily married - 50 years now. they have a wonderful family and they were/are wonderful parents and now grandparents. Their children are wonderful parents as well. - hardworking and loving.

I took some down time.
Did some knitting and watched some one series.
Feeling better after a puny feeling Sunday glad for a quick rebound.
Tummy issues.

Trying to get the desk progress again one part of cams on the under side of the top.
A snag trying to get the new piece to fit in place. Sigh ~ trying not to get frustrated.
oh well progress has been made and I"m learning.
No hurry but sewing is at a stand still at surprise there.

I worked right up until 4:45 pm. and then walked the dog. I need to get butternut squash roasting soon to go with our grilled chicken tonight. Uneventful afternoon and I'm still glad not to be as busy as I was last week and before. Tomorrow I have a dental appointment at three.

Getting started with supper and p.m. routine. Today has been a loss in terms of routines, but a win in terms of doing something that is rewarding.

Awesome news about your dd loving her hair cut and washing her hair LadyM!

Do any of you gardeners have any helpful hints on how to get rid of those tiny, invisible prickly thorny things that are invisible to the eye? I don't know how I got them in the top of a finger, but it hurts like the dickens! I tried using packing tape to pull them (it?) out but it didn't work. Now I'm going to deliberately do some dishes in really warm water to see if that helps with the pain.

Ouch, Cathy! I wish I knew more to tell you than the thoughts you and Nancy have had. I wonder if the tape (or bandaid sides) would be worth trying again after the warm water has softened skin/opened pores. Magnifying glass and tweezers?

One more ornament is finished. I take them to HRH every evening that I finish one and he counts, lol. 4. Because of the issue with running out of a fabric I am doing one at a time all the way to the end, now. Nothing can be assembly-lined when I'm not sure of the fabric holding out. But it is happy work.

HRH took the recyclables and came back with important company - ddolder's youngest boy. He is excited about having chosen his costume for Halloween.

Then they went to the little store at the corner together (a corner 5 minutes away by car). They got gas and some foolishness of treats. But that's what Grandpas are for.

Dd27 called and chatted for a while. She has Wednesday off and plans to come over after her dad is finished with his dental appt.

I went to dgs’ game, which we won in the final ten seconds. Dgs still hasn’t gotten in a game for even one play, and it is beginning to make ddil mad. I am a little disappointed myself. We have teo more games though.

I ate supper and stopped to get some NyQuil. Planning on another take it easy day tomorrow.

Cathy, for the finger, you could try Morrisons Paste (aka Magnesium sulphate paste). It comes on a little pot and if your chemist doesn't sell it, Amazon does. Use a cotton bud to put some on the finger tip, then put a plaster (bandaid?) on top. The paste draws out the little prickles to the surface, so you should then be able to pull them out with tweezers / needle/ finger and thumb.You may need to repeat this for a few days, but in my experience, it's usually successful.
