Rabbit Rabbit Wednesday 1 October PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

It's the beginning of a new month, last quarter of the year. For good luck all month long, we'll start with Rabbit Rabbit! https://www.npr.org/2013/12/01/24804125 ... -good-luck

While waiting for that good luck, do a few tasks you've been putting off - a little anti-procrastination activity does a soul good.

And for me, tonight is Kol Niedre - the Yom Kippur Eve - when the holiest day of our Jewish year begins. Tonight at the beginning of the service, with lights darkened, the Torahs are taken from the ark to be held in front of the congregation as we hear the haunting music of Kol Niedre. Here's Neil Diamond as a cantorial soloist in the Jazz Singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4QAReDEgVw

Happy 1 October!

Thank you for starting us off today Twins" Mom!

A whole new day, a whole new month!! The last quarter of the year! A new page on the calendar!

All clean dishes are away, along with all the clean pots/pans and large utensils.

Dh and I will go to the landfill later. I also need to pick up a pumpkin pie from Costco to finish our Thanksgiving dinner needs/desires. I'm almost certain it will be gone before Thanksgiving, which is October 13th this year. These pies sell out quickly, so I can't wait too much longer before I go and get one.

I also need to get to Walmart for kitty litter.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I have my every-other-week appointment for body work this morning and I'll go to the grocery after. Have a small list going and need to get rest of ingredients for kugel for tomorrow evening. I'll make it tomorrow afternoon when I come home from services for a break. Dh will probably spend the day there.

Quiet afternoon today. We're going to grill some steaks for our early supper. Need to be at temple at 6:45ish.

Up extra early to walk Coco. Came home got my roast and veggies ready for my crock pot and turned it on. Went to class, then to coffee with friends. Came home and ate my breakfast and am off to walk Coco.

I need to finish my morning routines and take a shower when we get back.

Lucylee… feel better. When I was teaching I got a virus where I totally lost my voice. Made it for an interesting few days when I tried to teach 🤣

Dh brought the shop vac into the house and did the bathroom and the fireplace. I washed the bathroom floor.

We have been to the landfill. I had all the bags out of the back of the truck before dh made his way to the back of the truck. He said I didn't leave any for him. I told him that I could easily do this job alone.

On the way home he said he wants to close the business bank account. I'm fine with that. He also gave me his Costco card because he said he never has to go there for anything. I will keep that aside for a while. We renew our membership in February.

Harriet… Thxs for all you do❤️

Gave Coco a bath cause she stinks.Think it’s do to the yeast billed up from the grains in her old food. She immediately got the zoomies after I finished drying her. My pups did the same thing. I broke down and gave her a sliver of a Benadryl pill because she’s wearing herself out scratching and chewing her paws and ears.

Twins…yesterday we walked another 12k steps. We are already at 7ks today with several more walks to do. I think of you when we are walking and Coco has already made friends with several neighborhood dogs. I have to time our afternoon walks with the temps and the sun. If the sidewalk is too hot and burns my bare feet I won’t walk her.

I just finished my lunch, all morning routines done. I still have some computer work to do.

Thanks for all the new month threads, Harriet!

I had a full trip out. Body work (he says my left hip hurts because my right hip doesn't work right - yes, I know that!) then post office for HOA, grocery, gas, and car wash.

I may have a cold. Pretty sure it's not COVID because I got the vaccine last Friday. Still could be, but not likely. Nasal passages running full blast and sneezing to the point of incontinence. Headachy too.

I'm heading upstairs for awhile. Could get some genealogy time in.
