Yep, I totally get it Doggedly, the high school dynamics.
Yeah, Bama, that's how the tasks go. You stop to get one done - and then another one isn't finished. That's why I sometimes find it difficult to decide which task to do. Doing one means I'm not doing another. . .
It sounds great to have so many fresh veggies from your own garden, Lauralind. The baby is coming Oct. 24 - C-Section. We bought our plane tickets. Now, hopefully, we can get there safely since our government is shut down - and air traffic controllers are not being paid. Dh thinks they are - but I read something that said they're not.
Is your dog shredding kleenex, L Ann?
trissie, I agree. The Shakespeare plays that are modernized are not my faves, though I find them interesting. There's always West Side Story which has kind of became it's own thing! However, I've seen a lot of Shakespeare performances on the stage over the years that did keep the traditional setting, and I like those the best. How else could one do the "chink in the wall" sketch properly without a traditional setting (and wall)? LOL! I really liked the English National Theatre's performance of Hamlet with Cumberbatch. I thought he did an amazing job! They filmed it live, and we could watch it in the US.

JRR Tolkien put 2 famous Shakespeare references in the events in the LOTR. Both from Macbeth - I think.

And now I feel inspired to find a Shakespeare performance to attend. :)

Also, I really enjoy hearing about everyone's weather around the world. I find it interesting. I think we've actually been warmer than L Ann's place recently, which seems strange; we're in Michigan and she's in Maryland. Our highs have been in the 80s for a few weeks, the 70s for about 1 week and are now dipping to the upper 60s/ lower 70s for a while.

Time to stop chatting to myself  and get back to work.

Hello, everyone!

Trissie, we have a large print of a steam train (not sure which one!) going over a bridge (again not sure which one!) in our sitting room, so DH is well accommodated!

L.Ann, that was a good haul from the farmers market!

Helian, good for you for inviting the JWs to your Bible study! Some people I know announce they have been "disfellowshipped" when the JWs come calling, and traditionally that's been the end of that. (Until recently JWs were not permitted to associate with anyone who had been disfellowshipped, but, I understand that rule has been relaxed somewhat.)

Bama, I think you could be right, and they may well have notes on us, especially as K, despite repeat visits probably is not considered to have made mic6j progress. Of course they always come in pairs, and one does the talking while the other stands behind and may join in a little. My usual visitor is K, and she has had several companions, but the powers that be are very obviously "upping the ante" with us, as one time one of the elders (the only time I've ever seen a man wearing a fawn very obviously polyester suit! I know one shouldn't judge on outward appearance, but...) and another time the wife of the chief elder. She was quite scary - I do feel for K, she must have a very difficult time.

Laura, you've been very productive today!

Dogged, I'm glad all joints are behaving properly again.

Hi, Peaches!

Today turned out to be quite social. :D I have met the new neighbours who are moving in at the top of the road - S and A both seem very nice and friendly. :D And I had a good chat with Dneighbour S (Ive realised that there are several "S's" so I'm going to have to .umber them to avoid confusion!) I've done some housework, pruned some more of the climbing rose, made a cake and prepped lunch for tomorrow.

Pet chores - food water litter
Ride mow for about an hour, hit a snake and that did it for me, I felt horrible and told dh I was done with that for the day
Dh push mowed the turkey yard and is now mowing on the riding mower
I moved the vehicles back
Fed neighbor cat on moms porch, med on his eyes
Watered moms plants, got meat from her freezer

I have uninstalled the air conditioner, so if I get nothing else done today, I will still feel that I have accomplished something.

That is a dilemma, Lauralind, when the family gets old enough to scatter. I wonder where they will spend Thanksgiving.

Is DD32 getting better, L.Ann?

Flying with no traffic controllers (or greatly reduced numbers of them, as they are working without pay) sounds terrifying, helia. I hope that your government will be back to work before then.

Kittykatt, I was thinking that your dh might like a picture of a train, so happy to hear that he already has a big one to look at.

That sounds like a good day, Bama.
