Today: • Had cold pizza and pop for breakfast because I could.
• After taking DC to class, I worked on a brain dump until time for therapy. The therapist was quite interested in the brain dump, so we spent most of the time on that.
• Had lunch. Got DD to do the lunch dishes, but she was too efficient; she had the dishes done and the sink drained by the time I finished my lunch, so I ended up spritzing my dishes and washing them under running water.
• Took DD to work and brought DC home. Had DC run into the small store with me to get something quick for dinner; made them do the standing in line while I went back to the car. By the time we put stuff away, DH was home.
DH had a busy day today; it was fall testing day. PSATs for the juniors, and I don’t know what for the other grades, but everyone was kept busy, especially DH, whose job it is to coordinate everything. Apparently, things ran smoothly, with few glitches. He did not come home and immediately pour himself a scotch. Of course, he does have Scouts this evening. It remains to be seen whether he will pour himself something after that.
I’m working on wash right now. If I get it to the point where the second load is in the dryer, I will have a treat. (Agreed on that with my therapist. It does seem to be propelling me forward.)
DC is still working on their paper. Since one can do such things in these modern days of emails, it wasn’t due in class but is due at midnight tonight. Apparently the impromptu speech went well and was not as impromptu as expected — the professor let them choose which of their three topics to present.
Well, the laundry twins are doing their stuff, and DH should be home soon, so I’ll sign off. Sweet dreams!
I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped. -- Prince Humperdinck
"someone" needed to do my dishes, too, Nancy. They are done.
Thanks for the video link you put in A, C and N thread Nancy. So interesting and in fact the lady's teaching style in the video is soothing, too, in a way. I am about halfway through and am getting to the part that I think pertains to me most, about anticipation and the rush of completion.
blessed, the creativity thoughts are an attempt to balance the healing of fun with the healing of completion. Yes, a sudden brainstorm for a project is a boost. Yes, a completion of a waiting project I would get to in a planned order is a boost. Both have value.
I made a pretty decent tomato sandwich for October. Ddolder and boys are still getting a few but even today I think it may be over.
Feeling tired this evening as though I haven't been getting enough sleep so I will head to bed early and try to reset.
Fingers crossed, but I'm feeling better today. No pain meds required, nor desired. The heavy duty pain med has 3 stickers and the top one says "Opioids can cause DEPENDENCE, ADDICTION and OVERDOSE." I'm trying to stay away from that one if it isn't needed.
Dh is watching survivor. I think they spend over 80% of the show making nasty comments about each other and talking to everyone about how this person said this or that... UGH! Such an annoying show. Of course, I find reality shows to be ridiculous and more staged than "reality". `
My washing machine just sang the song of it's people to let me know it's job is done. After I move the wet stuff to the dryer, I'm planning on going to bed.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
I have bathed ddoggo and towels are in the wash now so that added to the # of loads today.
But glad that is happening. doggo's is resting I'm thinking that's next for me as well.
Got the bathroom mopped.
