Retirement goal accomplished. Doggedly, who really needs to get out more, is going to a concert this afternoon. :) I've been hemming and hawing over it for a week now. For introverts, outings are like dying in that you know you need to do it sometime, but Today is never a convenient day for it. This one could hardly be more convenient. It is close by, so no bad neighbourhood worries, in a building complex that I have been in before, and it is mid-afternoon. Really, short of rolling up and playing in my building's lobby, they could hardly have made it easier for me.

Good morning / good afternoon, Helia, L.Ann, Bama and Dogged!

Helia, that is a genius location for the hotel - maximum support for DH, and minimum standing in the rain/cold. :D We had coffee after church today with cake, as it was someone 's birthday

I hope DD feels better soon, L.Ann.

Bama, I use the cordless hoover on the car, which has the advantage I can take it anywhere, but it can't cope with a big mess as it's not powerful enough and the battery doesn't last that long. So, weekly is ideal,.as this way I can whip through everything before it becomes overwhelming .

I'm glad Germane is sleeping off her dancing experience, Dogged. Everything in is always better after caffeine  Enjoy the concert!

Church was good, and our interim vicar led a time of prayer for the family of DF GH, who passed away overnight (she had ovarian cancer and had been in hospice for the last couple of weeks, so we all knew it wouldn't be long). No date for the funeral yet, but I'm guessing it won't be too far in the future. Apparently all the details have already been sorted out - DF GH knew she didn't have long to live and discussed all her wishes with our former retired vicar, who will be taking the service - she was thoughtful and considerate right up to the end.

Jude was a little angel at her appointment. Unfortunately she has gained 50 grams, but I'm relieved it isn't more, with all the worry over Fred and Matilda last month. The lovely nurse wasn't too concerned, as we're hound to have some blips along her weight loss journey. And at least taking her every month, we can tackle a small gain before it becomes a large gain.

Since I've been home I've cut Fred's nails - fortunately he was hungry, so could be bribed to cooperate!

Yes, Doggedly, in fact - dh will have a tag. All runners have a chip in their bib so times are logged at certain points in the race when they run over a receiver thing on the ground, including the start and finish lines. I just need to download the race app, and I'll be able to follow dh's chip as he runs the course. This is exactly what I did for S2 in the Chicago Marathon on Sunday. Hoping the caffeine helped. I'd forgotten that quote by Anne Shirley! It's a great one! Enjoy the concert!
Ah good. Glad to hear DD32 is on the mend, L Ann.
WTG Bama!
Kitty, I'm sorry about GH. Glad you had a good morning service.

Next:
- back exercises
- s2s and self care - yes, before I go work out. LOL! (Mr. trainer guy will stand close to me at times during training. . . )
- squeegee and wipe down shower

More done:
- lunch
- some qt
- WF run - everything put away

I've had a productive evening. No more kitty nails cut, but I have cleaned the fridge and out the groceries away. And emailed DF HT about the numbers for today's service. I need to feed the kitties next, then I'm going to try for an early night. I have an early start tomorrow, as I'm planning to take the duvet to the launderette for its annual wash!
