"Torn" is a song written by Scott Cutler, Anne Preven—who composed all of the lyrics—and Phil Thornalley in 1991 as a solo song for Preven. It was recorded and performed live during this period, but not given its first formal release until 1993, when Danish singer Lis Sørensen released the song in Danish under the title "Brændt" ([pʁænˀt], meaning 'burnt').

Good morning Trissie and thank you for the start.
I'll keep this short as I don't want to lose this post - I'm having problems getting onto these boards. (Not sure if the site is down or whether there's a spam bot problem? I keep getting messages about the site having reached capacity?!!)
Anyway, I'm hoping for a "normal" day today, with DH WFH and me attacking the housework. If it stops raining long enough I'd like to go for a walk. This is now the season of walks round the estate, as the calley park will be far too wet and muddy!

House tasks: Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge? Can this wait until next year when we get the house painted when a roof ladder will be in place?) I need for it to stop raining before I ask anyone to come and look!
Verge and ridge tiles on garage roof
Sort out cabinet that wobbles - does the back need some sort of bracing ?
Fix dripping kitchen tap (new washer ?)- DF E has given me the phone number of her plumber . I think DF CW also has a plumber she is happy with?
Take up and hem those thick winter curtains for the kitchen
Book eye test for me

Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP I am now working on 2024
Think about setting up Guardianship for F,J and M - looked on Cats' Protection, I need their microchip numbers, approximate DOB, colour and markings and useful information about them. Bookmark link with local recommended solicitors (also ask DF CW?)

Back from a very nice walk. I kept to the estate, but included the wooded walk by the stream that has mostly tarmac underfoot. There were a few sprinkles of rain, but mostly when I was under the cover of the trees. The leaves are turning now, and there are some beautiful tones of red and gold.
Having coffee now, then I'll have a quick leaf picking session in my garden before I start the housework.

House tasks: Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge? Can this wait until next year when we get the house painted when a roof ladder will be in place?) I need for it to stop raining before I ask anyone to come and look!
