Good morning
Today really feels more like Saturday than Friday—I had to do a double take myself.

With no school activities or attention needed, Friday feels like an easy day.

I spent some time in the kitchen prepping ahead, knowing that a small effort now brings big benefits later.

Bungee cords are the focus of my organizing, deep cleaning, and decluttering today. How many do we have scattered around? Can I gather them all into one central storage location? Once they’re collected and sorted, I can organize them properly. I’ll probably be hesitant to declutter bungee cords since they’re so useful and take up little space, especially when grouped by size. Hmm... bungee cords and large rubber bands serve similar purposes. Maybe I’ll combine their storage.

DS17 is back from work to meet with a potential buyer for the car he’s selling. More unfamiliar vehicles in our driveway...

I've done the 2 worst litter boxes AND I cleaned the toilet! I MUST be bored! Oh, I also did the bathroom garbage before it got to the point where it would be overflowing.

Dh brought in the very last (?) of the tomatoes. He says there are more out there, but he says they are done. He brought in probably close to thirty small ones. Mostly green.

He also brought in a package of ground beef. He told me he chipped off some of the ice in the freezer as well.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I'm achy and realize I may need to scale back on too much time on my feet. Not allowed aspirin, so tylenol is the extent of it and I'd better reel myself in a little. Ironing board, cutting table plus work at the stove - not so good for the back.

Nancy, that's such fun that you created your own new decorative throw pillows and used existing items.

Anyone else ever watch a tv program called "Kirsten's Vintage Home"? Not new but not old, either. A relatively young woman hosts a space in a shopping/antiques village for people to come in and learn how to make or refurbish home furnishings of all kinds rather than buy new. I watched the first episode, about a couple who wanted to decorate like the '60s, with some interest in the fun. But the second episode had me pouting (defensive?) because a mother of 3 had had C and her house had gone to pot, so she was beating herself up over it. She and her hubby gave the time they could to household projects between her bedrest days, with the crafty Kirsten's help. But I was rooting for the Mom to go sit down a while and get some rest. That episode did show how to reupholster dining chairs, though, and I need to know that - cool.

We have a dishwasher that is properly hooked to the utilities necessary, and it has gone through one cycle to the satisfaction of all interested parties. Very quiet.

Tobias is appalled. His new hidey-cubby disappeared for no good purpose, and now the potential mousehole gone, too. He needn't worry - they will find a way.

I think DS17 has connected a buyer to the car. The buyers are doing some financial things before it can officially be called SOLD.

Today's decluttering success includes 150 lbs of unopened swimming pool diatomaceous earth powder leaving our home. I had completely forgotten about it until I found it stored under a table in the unnamed room. I also gathered and filled a 5-gallon bucket with miscellaneous swimming pool chemicals and parts, topping it off with a couple of pairs of long-blade swim fins. The new owners are thrilled to receive these items, and I’m thrilled to get them out of our home. Win! Win!

Other doings today...
- Ordered magnesium capsules.
- Bought the Kindle book "10 Days to Self-Esteem."
- Went out to eat at Jamn That Good for lunch: BLTs, cinnamon roll stuffed waffle, chicken salad sandwich, and strawberry shortcake.
- Walked 30 minutes at the cemetery. We timed it just right with the incoming rain. As DH opened my car door, it started to sprinkle, but by the time he got in, the rain was pouring.
- Played a game of checkers with DD14. She beat me!

CI from yesterday's "priorities" --
[x] get steak sandwich from the football booster club
[x] make appt for mammogram
[x] call doctor's office re: appt so they will fax orders to lab
[x] send second message to beautician
[x] trim sprouts on new trees (This took about 5 minutes. I don't know why I was putting it off so long, but that's the story of my life.)
Also --
[x] read the newspaper
[x] talked to ds/ddil/dgrands on phone while they were on their way home from selling the steak sandwiches & school pickup
[x] talked to dmom, she is coming out to get cash she had me get for her at the bank (her account)
[x] played the piano for a little while (some songs that remind me of OG, some songs from church hymn book... so, some self-indulgent depressing, some inspirational. I play poorly, but I do enjoy trying)

I will go get dgd in a little while and she will spend the night, then tomorrow and Sunday, I will have both dgrands as both parents will be working.

EDITING --
[x] talked to dmom awhile...
[x] emptied dishwasher and put dishes from sink in dishwasher
[x] washed dishes that don't go in the dishwasher -- two cups, a straw, and three utensils
