Re: New Week Monday PWYC
Bw2, so sorry that your mom is declining - sometimes we think they will live forever because they recover and keep on going so many times. Remember my dmom was on hospice for 15 months and for most of that was pretty stable.
I worked out and wow, my back is achy. It was achy before the workout too tho. Got in a lot of movement and tomorrow morning I have much needed body work. Groceries were here when I got home, I've put them away. Dh is still out.
I need to head upstairs and take care of the guest bedroom and bath. After that, some clean up in my workroom, depending on how long I can stay up there.

Re: New Week Monday PWYC
thank you d twins - truly thank you!
sorry your back is achy = I think it is in the air - I had that for two days and dd older has it now after moving her boss into a temporary apartment after his surgery.
praying it feels better soon
glad you got the groceries put away - feel better!!!
hi d Nancy yay on the walk
glad you are feeling better
I hope that your d neighbor and their daughter that they are not in touch with start to repair their relationship. hopefully the daughter will be open to not fighting about her opinions - visa versa
see you soon
flip flopped laundry - d helper folded mom's sheets - so nice - she offered and that was nice for me!
I havent' gotten to the dogs blankets yet.
dh took the dirty dishes out of the dw and washed them by hand
I washed the counters with bleach water
stove is clean again
what's next:
vacuum the laundry room
not great but ok
rinsed it - not great but swiped
next: clean the top of the washer and dryer
and clean the sink (just swiped the top)
- weekly jobs, flip flop laundry
(and start on dog blankets
)
I didn't do my weekly kitchen duties - move it forward to next week?

Re: New Week Monday PWYC
(((Blessed))) I am so sorry for all you are going through with your dmom and ddaughters and (sometimes d)bro.
Whew -- looking at your snow plow services -- boy -- I'm glad I don't have to worry about that! We very seldom get snow, and if we do, we just rush to the grocery store when it's predicted and then stay indoors till it thaws! LOL!
It almost nervous keeps us snowed in more than a day or two. When ds was a baby, we did have a time when the roads stayed icy for about a week, and we were without power several days. My ddad brought us a kerosene heater and we managed okay. Seems like we had another time like that when ds was around 10 years old. But normally, snow here is light, ice is more of a problem, and usually, power is restored fairly quickly.
It's 58 degrees outside today and feels colder to me. It's been raining all night and it's still cloudy. I'll have to go out again soon and get a ballgame ticket from dbil and maybe a pickup order from Wmart -- but I haven't done the order yet!
I admit I spent a little time on the phone this morning -- told myself it was necessary
because I had to check and see if any of my cousins wanted ballgame tickets I posted earlier for them. So far, no takers -- which is kinda good. I told them I would put them on S#at G#ek if they didn't let me know by tomorrow, and I will likely make more money that way. Of course, they might not sell at all, but I've never had that happen. (I will sell for face value to family and friends, but will set price online as suggested by the site.)
After spending a little bit of time on fb, I did morning stretches, turned OFF the tv, did Bible reading, made dentist appt for Wednesday, put sheets in the washer, and s2s.
I listened to music on YouTube while I was in the shower. (Miranda Lambert usually gets me going better than being distracted by tv.)
Church secretary texted, said she had checks to sign, so I rushed up there before she left at 2:00 pm.
Went to post office, paid gas bill.
Home, flipped laundry -- towels in the washer, sheets in the dryer, folded and put away dgrands' clothes, straightened their room a little.
Washed dishes that were left in the sink (because I didn't take care of footprints last night!)
Picked up dgd, took her to S*nic, took her home.
Glad to hear your breakfast foods were not troublesome today, Nancy! Sounds like you've had a busy day!
Today, I'm trying to write down the things I do, to kinda see what I can fit into a day. (So maybe I will set more realistic goals.)
It is so difficult.
I'm kinda worried about the dentist appt Wednesday because it will be a pretty full day, and I know I'll be a little sleep deprived, unless I do a lot better than my norm.
I'll have chair yoga at 10:00
Dentist at 1:45 (will leave here by 1:00 at least)
Church at 5:00
-- The dentist appt is because I have some sort of ulcer (?) on my gum. It looks like a pimple, kinda, and it doesn't hurt, but it is worrisome and I want to let the dentist look at it. A few years ago, my hygienist was concerned about some sort of spot she saw inside my jaw, and it was nothing, but ever since then, I've been scared of mouth cancer! Kinda being a hypochondriac, because I have never smoked or anything like that, but I'll just feel better if they look at it.
9000 steps before 8:30 a.m., Rose!!! WOW!!! You are VERY inspiring!
Blessed, I did organize my cards last night and
I realized I never put OCTOBER cards in place... and now it's time to set up NOVEMBER! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??? It's like October just came and went and I didn't even notice! So I'm a little behind on getting started with Christmas prep, but I'm trying to catch up.
I'm going to type my teacher group notes while I'm in here at the computer and maybe straighten up this room a little.

Yes... YES... I could have posted this exact sentence, Mystery!I am a good one for spending too much time setting goals and not enough time actually working toward them.

Re: New Week Monday PWYC
October did come and go!!! I have heard so many people say that recently!
it's okay not getting the cards in - November is when the busy stuff starts.
I have had years where months would go by and I did not do dailies and weeklies regularly bc I flew by the seat of my pants.
literally.
thank you d Lucy! that really means a lot!
I can't imagine ice - stay safe this winter sweet Lucy
you had a very busy day!
have a great evening.
I really really want 12 - 24" of snow here and there this winter! Our winters have been without much snow but can be bitter cold. rockford I think had -16 with a windchill -33 for this year - I think they are thinking it will be mild winter this year. makes me sad. I miss all the snow we used to get.
the lake is 54 degrees today which means that we are going in the right direction for winter. I am praying for lots of snow to replace the water in our aquifers. I want the lake to freeze like it did many years ago - 2013/2014. it's time.

Re: New Week Monday PWYC
I've swept upstairs.
One load is ready to fold.
Other one is in the dryer now.
I walked in the back yard again to pick up after doggo.
Yesterday had to clean up shoes that had set did that after watering and that worked great.
Heading back to fold those clothes got em put away too. X
Last load is dry folded and put away.
Waving to everyone.
I vacuumed the living room this evening.
Got the trash out.
Got my steps in had to walk to both corners to get the rest of those in.

Re: New Week Monday PWYC
~~~waving Hello to all~~~~
Today, I tried out the Pathway method for getting things done. It involves grouping SHE cards together and assigning a time frame to complete them. Honestly, it’s not much different from what I usually do, but it’s just a fresh way of using the SHE cards, which makes it feel new and fun. Yeah... I’m weird.
synopsis of my day ....
** Homeschool and public school happened.
** DSIL underwent surgery today to remove half of his lung. I was texting with DD49 during the procedure. DSIL is now in the ICU and doing as well as can be expected. They will find out more when the doctor comes this evening.
** 72 SHE cards completed.
** The decluttering and organizing of the previously unnamed room is coming along. I've decided on a name and purpose for it—I'm calling it the garden room. Its purpose will be to store all my garden supplies and tools. It's surprising I didn't already have a dedicated space for this, considering gardening is my favorite hobby and something I do nearly every day of the year.
** I cooked extra vegetables to go along with Zatarins Bourbon chicken and rice.
(((Cathy)))) I didn’t say anything when you talked about your mom, but you’ve been on my mind a lot. I just wanted you to know that. I can’t begin to understand what you went through, so I don’t have anything insightful to say. All I do know is that you matter and deserve the very best.
DSIL is DD49 husband. I should have used DSonIL abbreviation.
