I’m about to go into the dentist office. I feel a little like a hypochondriac, making an appointment for the dentist to look at what is basically a fever blister. Smh.

I hate to leave the radio. The Elvis channel is playing one of his last concerts, live.
I saw Elvis in 1975, with my parents and aunt and uncle. Still one of my best memories. I was 13.
Tomorrow is another day.

proud of myself - I got through all the magazines - garden, Victoria, etc etc.cut 2 recipes to try this week or let it go , etc. read what I wanted and tossed the rest. took a few notes. *
replaced the insurance cards - sent dd older a picture so that she can put it on the family photo file for important information
ordered christmas presents
finished bills for today
updated some things in my address book.
I am finally done with all papers - even though I do it once a week; it took a lot of time. Now it's done.

dh said I should go out - I am very happy getting through things - I have been so far behind and it is a blessing to moving forward again.

*decorating:
interesting - they spoke of people being so busy with things that aren't necessary - that with we (as a people) are getting lost in the busy (social media/tv/etc.) that we never had before the internet and cell phones

they article (unfortunately linked to buying things) did have some good things:
focus: Wellness focus.
Focused on embracing mindfulness and intentionality of our spaces.
design with coziness, comfort, balance, presence and well being
being intentional and being authentic to ourselves
focus on slowing the rhythm, embrace intentional rest - comfort and stillness.
rest and comfortable items (coziness) itself can be restorative.
reclaim the space.

I thought it was interesting bc it asked what makes us feel like you have a cozy and peaceful home.

Dgd is better each week and making progress having a friend DD trusts helps so she can
have a break too. I think this is week #5 and she has progressed as expected.
[Her ribs are still sore].Next week is her #6 wk. check up. Not sure what is next prob. physical therapy.

I have updated my lists & planner it only took 20 min. apx. today.
Unlike yesterday that took all morning! Ack!

Did not need to do a store run.

No need for having candy to hand out here.
I guess I"m ready just trying to keep it clean enough
for photo with Dggson 6 mo. old.

Lunch was very good.
Looking forward to knitting time.

Walked before sunrise but didn’t go to class.

Sweetie was very confused this morning and I spent over an hour helping with his computer. He went to one of his daily sites and couldn’t figure out how to sign in… very simple his email and his pass word which is written down

He asked why he was able to do this last week and can’t do it now and I honestly answered because he had stopped taking his meds a month ago.

He wasn’t happy with me bringing this up again. Oh well I’m always honest with him.

My PT worked o my shoulders today. I have a love/hate relationship with this therapy 😉

We enjoyed dsonil so much. He is full of stories about his coworkers and previous coworkers, his family, a wedding he'll be attending on Friday (and I think he's in the wedding party). Halloween themed... .. oh, my, well, to each his own. He's off today for an eye appt and it's his Dad's bday, catching up with me - same age. He left here to head home and bake cookies for the groom - this is a tradition from somewhere that either the bride or groom call home. Dd27 will bake her set of cookies tomorrow.

Oh, blessed, I thankfully will not have to be back in that building for months. I just get scans there. I was able to have a tv to watch for about a half-hour while I was alone, so that was something to break up the time. The second half-hour, since I was lying back anyway, I could just dose. HRH and others out in the waiting room really missed the tv. The nurses said all the televisions in the 3-story building went "no connection" all at once.

Cathy, I'm happy to hear the ball games are still going to be nail biters! It's been nice to have a little knowledge about this subject when it comes up, so thank you for keeping us abreast. Dsonil was able to give actual names of players, but even though I'm not that well versed, I could share some info and keep up.

Did anyone else hear the discussions about a possible need for a "Category 6" designation for hurricanes, going forward? yipes. Such a blessing that "Melissa" had lost some of its windspeed at each landfall. A scientist I was listening to was asked how she felt for her country, hit by the hurricane, and she just said, "heartbreaking".

HRH and I have both said we need naps. We'd better hurry if we're going to do it early enough to avoid messing up sleep tonight.

The strong winds brought down half of a tree in our front yard, and DS17 kindly offered to cut it up and haul it away after work. I got the chainsaw ready for him, but it wouldn't start. Hmm... I decided to try repairing it myself and almost succeeded. My confidence in chainsaw repair was barely above zero, so I didn't dwell on it when it still didn't work after reassembly. I was fine with trying and failing. I took it to the repair shop and explained what I had done. The repairman smiled and fixed it in less than a minute—I had missed one step.

Oh my goodness. My ears are totally talked off. I've had to say twice that I need some quiet time so I've withdrawn from the conversation. I don't think I have the focus to comment or CUOP however.

We went to the jewelry store - dfriend wanted to buy earrings and a necklace/chain. I tried on a "dream" bracelet, fun to try on but not something I'd probably wear...Anyway, I gave dfriend the jeweler some ideas in case dh ever wants to purchase something as surprise.

I need to walk the dog in the rain soon. I think dh is going to have to grill chicken in the rain too. He said he would empty the dishwasher for me,

I think my ears are bleeding from all the conversation and cross-conversation here. I guess walking in the rain will be quieter.

when mom was up we talked about christmas cards - I have decided to do the French family early - mom could talk about it to a point but she can no longer sign her name. she tried but she floated off but did a little scribble when she focused.
it's okay.
We talked about what she wanted to say to her cousin - I translated it on google translate and let her hear it. sometimes she lost focus and then I would suggest a few word a s. it was very sweet - all of a sudden she want me to say "I love you all" to them. For her cousin - she wanted me to write : my dear cousin - I love you.
very special. I am sending them out tomorrow. I have decided to put christmas tree up in the family room early.

today she has called for me to make sure I was around. not afraid but it gave her peace each time. I am glad that we have had this time.
