Strawberry Jam is my favorite.

Well Halloween Party was a success. We had about 10 people so a lot of leftover chili in freezer. Will eat some for lunch.

We did our escape room and roasted marshmallows.

House got cleaned but our guest room became a stash and dash area. We didn't get any of pictures repugnant and I have 3 boxes of things to get rid of or donate somewhere.

So tomorrow not today, we will begin emptying the guestroom, hanging pictures etc.

Today we have a funeral at 1, a show at 4 and another at 6:30 SAme theater. Then home for Ryan's birthday dinner.

I drove around with my top down yesterday it was 73 degrees. This morning we just discussed switching over to heat because bedroom is chilly.

Shoulder is so sore. I have spoken to an attourney in case I need them to pay for long term treatment because it was there mistake. That is what I mean by litigious, hope I used the correct word.

Good morning, Glories!

Dogged, that is good information I shall store in this old noggin.

Kittykatt, there is so much to learn regarding horticulture. Thanks for sharing. I confess I won’t take the local master gardener class because there is so much to remember about each species of plant. Enjoy your sunshine.

Trissie, so the crunch in the fig isn’t wasp remains? Dmil always had wasps around her fig trees so I just figured they were ending up in the figs in some fashion. Maybe they just pollinated them? I enjoy doom scrolling way too much too, I do love a good meme or funny TikTok.

LAnn, how was trick or treating, did you go with little bit?

Costumelady, I’m sorry for your loss. Hope the rest of the day is enjoyable.

I woke early, no headache so yay! Scrolled some, nothing too interesting, dh went out to fetch breakfast and just got back. I’m not sure what we will do with our day. Dailies of course. Pulling up bathroom carpet, mowing the yard, attending a fall festival, thrifting, catching up on to do items, are all options. It’s a beautiful day here. Sunny and cool. A walk sounds nice too. See ya later.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

CL, that's a very scheduled day! Is Ryan's birthday dinner later in the evening?
Enjoy the farmers market, L Ann. I've used imgbb to to host pics I post here.
Did you walk or work in the garden Kitty? Meringues - yum! What a great idea!
Glad you got a slow morning, trissie! I hope party preps go well. Tomorrow - right?
Yay for no headache, Bama. That's a wide variety of options for the day. I wonder what you will do?

I'm here very late; I took the luxury of lying in bed this morning and finishing a very hard jigsaw sudoku that had me stumped for a couple days. I think better in the morning. :D Now it's 10:20 -- eek!! I think I got a good 9 hours sleep though. Slowly catching up.

Baby news: Both ds + F texted me yesterday. Little I seems to be doing well; she's started taking bottles (of F's breast milk) in the hospital while also working on breastfeeding. F is producing plenty of milk for her. Ds sounds like he's holding up OK and F's spirits sound better. I'm so glad. It's been such a rough beginning for all. They don't want her face on social media, but maybe I'll post a pic in the members only locale here. IMHO, she just looks like a generic newborn baby. LOL!

Today: It is gray and cool, about 50 degrees. The sun is now peeking through the clouds. Nice!! I hope to get in a jog. I need to make a trip to WF to pick up rotisserie chickens for CG1, maybe 3? I'd also like to do some laundry, work on exam prep for payroll, and work on memorial thank yous. Then, CG1 is meeting 5 - ? I'll probably leave around 9 pm. They will continue chatting until I don't know when. Dh will leave earlier; spending 4-5 hours at a meeting, even a social/ Bible study meeting, is just not something he has the patience for.

Next:
- back exercises
- dress to jog
- jog

Later:
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- make the bed
- (clean sheets on the bed?)
- payroll: update gradelink week 3
- Walgreens: pick up Rx
- WF: rotisserie chickens (closer to when I leave for CG1 to keep it warm more easily?)
- lunch
- lights: w d f pa
- start Memorial thank yous - getting late now
- payroll: start AIR Exam
- debone the chickens
- 5-9ish CG1 @ S2's place
- duolingo
- update health apps
- knitting? / reading?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - down??
- coffee
- tidied kitchen - not much to do (didn't run dw last night)
- email deletions and weather website

Bama, wasps and figs have kind of a complicated relationship! The old varieties of figs live in mutualism with fig wasps - let's just say that one cannot live and procreate without the other and leave it at that (if you are interested, you can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fig_wasp but I did warn you! :-) My variety of fig is self-pollinating, no wasps needed or included :-)
L.Ann, hoping you will post a photo of your dear pink witch!
what was your costume for the party, CostumeLady?
kittykatt, it's a belated Halloween party. No kids birthdays coming up till next year!
helia, looking like a "generic newborn baby" is very, very good! Having spent way too time much in NICU, I know there's such thing as "preemie head shape" and it can be discernable even months after birth. So, generic newborn loook is good :-)

Yes, L Ann, I'm also hoping you post a pic of the little pink witch! :)
Oh that's good to hear, trissie. Her head seems perfectly normally shaped. It was a C section and maybe that made a difference?

Well, I'm still sitting here. I have updated gradelink and messaged Ss to check for missing HW.

helia, google says it's because of their softer skulls and time spent in one position - their heads just kinda "mold" in the wrong way. A nurse friend pointed that out to me (the twins did not have it and she commented on it), and I began noticing it.
L.Ann, peanut udon stir fry sounds lovely! I have no idea about dinner, so may google the recipe :-)

Hello, all. It is a relaxed Saturday for me. No special plans except to get the apartment looking better.

Kittykatt, thank you for starting us off, and for answering Bama's question about fruit trees. I am completely out of my depth on that subject.
My laundry cooperated well. I did one load of two winter jackets and then dried them with no heat, and a second load of my clothes but no delicates, so it got its own dryer on hot. the jackets/hoods/winter gloves are hanging in Germane's pen and almost all of the other load is put away. So I don't have that claustrophobic feeling of being surrounded by hanging laundry and the lost floor space of the racks. It's a nice break from that.
Woo hoo on getting the cosmetics organized so that you only order what you actually want.

trissie, it is wise to take a bit of a break while you can, with your busy week coming up.

Hi, L.Ann. imgbb still works for uploading images to display here. I used to use Photobucket, but now they won't let me share. I think that Photobucket now makes you pay to access your photos and then pay a second time to be allowed to share them.
--Ah, I see that helia has already recommended imgbb.

Hi, Costumelady. I'm glad that your party was success. I'm sorry to hear about the funeral.

Hi, Bama. I'm glad that your headache is gone. I confess to doom scrolling too.

helia, I'm sure that the break in the morning did you good. I'm glad to hear that Little I continues to improve.

L.Ann, that is one adorable witch!

Saturday
Cleaned up after Germane
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Started dishes soaking
Washed some dishes
Put more into soak
Played db’s game that he shared with me and listened to my Saturday morning radio shows
Treat for Germane
Washed dishes
Opened a new can for Germane, who has decided that she does, after all, like her dog food
Cleaned up after dog
Followed Germane around the apartment as I tried to give her a piece of cooked carrot that I had saved for her. She wanted it and stared off into space trying to guess where I was. Right behind you was never tried.
