Good morning. Indiana's bright words do make you think. Accomplishments take so many forms.

We're hoping to go out on errands today, but it hinges on other things. Deliveries coming in, etc.

I've been up a while, worked on choosing some priorities/PODA. Have S2Sed.
I made out a meal planning, up to a point.

Sitting here with my morning fruit.

Hi, Kittykatt. I'm onto the habit of green tea right now rather than coffee, but have been interested in newly reported research that timing of coffee can be important. The idea of allowing oneself to be groggy for a while in the morning without trying to change it until you are ready to be produtive. Interesting. (Arthur Brooks, Harvard) I'd be similar to lucylee in having a dark-circle thing going on. Nutrition fixes do interest me, but often it seems the things recommended are already what I do. As lucylee says, we might not be candidates for those commercials in which potions tighten. But I do consider concealer, that sort of thing. I am just so OVER makeup, though.

Speaking of food, I had a big salad last evening and it was so good. Just absentmindedly crunching on it while watching a sewing vid. Calming.

fridge toss and wipe out - basement fridge toss (someone left it open by accident)
fridge kitchen - declutter (the weekly job) and swipe -put away
vacuum kitchen vents
clean the one kitchen window - not great but just do it.
sweep/vacuum floor boards
dust walls kitchen and laundry room
wash blankets and sheets
kitchen back splash
wipe finger prints in kitchen
wash front of dw
clean water cooler
dust doors
clean outside of laundry machine - vacuum floor and rinse - put away
remove stove drawer - clean - wash under neath.

Tuesday jobs

I have a cleaning lady on Thursday so I will not do this today.

Thank you so much, bw2! What a great flashback to see Indiana (of blessed memory) this morning, and remembering her words about our little accomplishments that we need to appreciate...

Up and moving this morning. The American Revolution program last night was excellent. I don't know if dh enjoyed it as much as I did but I loved it. The video was narrated and included some excerpts from each episode of the series. All very well done. Quotes from historians and those involved in the conflict itself.

We were home by 8:15 or so and I read with the dog after.

NOTHING on the calendar for today. DH got home from his workout and the TV is too loud. I need to disappear upstairs when I can.

What a list you have going, bw2! My eyes are glazing over, I'm afraid.

Another here who is over makeup. I occasionally put it on, not often, and usually don't even think of it. Sometimes I see dfriend V or M down the street in makeup and they look so nice! Now that it's cooler I am drying my hair again if I have plans out. It's only good for that day, as the CPAP headgear flattens it overnight but it looks cute.

I'm thinking I'm going to Knoxville next Tuesday early. The library opens at nine a.m. so I can leave here at not-too-early an hour and get there. Thinking I'll see if dcousin there can meet me for dinner/supper/lunch/coffee and I'll get him his dbro's cremains which are still in my closet. And I'll go to one of the county libraries on Wednesday a.m. before I head back? That is unless I'm just "over it" from company here this weekend. DD is flying out of ATL on Monday p.m.

Also thinking that it's time to get planters and raised beds cleaned out. Shouldn't take long but there's so much I'd rather do. And I think I've decided not to put pansies out this fall. Expense, time, watering if we have a dry winter... and they usually don't look that great, although they are cheerful on a winter day.

Good morning

My Tuesday is humming right along. It brings me comfort and confidence knowing that everything I need to do is captured and assigned a time. Of course, life is never without some unexpected happenings but those seem easier to deal with when I have the regular things accounted for.

Today I will be spending 3+ hours behind the steering wheel driving DH to his doc appt and DD14 to get her hair done. Adding in the 2 appts that is 5+ hours taken out of my normal daily doings.

We will eat lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant today. We eat there twice a year after dermatologist appts. HUmmmm...that will take another partial hour of my day so now I'm up to 6 hours out of my normal daily doings.

I will be checking DS17 homeschool assignments while I'm waiting in doc office so that can be accomplished while I'm away from home.

I need to get gas in Odessey before I start driving today so that will take another 15 minutes away from daily doings.
I can see a theme to my day. I am acknowledging that all the daily doings will not be accomplished. And that is okay.

Saw the sun rise on my walk with little feet.

Been to the gym…plan to change to a more difficult class after next week. Came home and made breakfast for us. Need to take a shower and then do another odd load of laundry… this time bathroom throw rugs.

Not sure about the rest of my day.. couldn’t finish my morning routines cause Sweetie was still sleeping when I left. Hard to make the bed when Sweetie is still in it.

I have a big tada I was saving peanut butter jars for dd for candle making activity she is no longer doing.
So I have let go of those and the are no longer in the shed yea!
Dealt with that 1st thing today yea!

Trash is at the curb.
We got rain in the nite.

I slept well. Up on time.
Got my a.m. steps in yea!
Working on my 1st meal of the day.

Writing Day for me this morning,

Also Voted, picked up some food, dealt with road construction going one way, and road construction coming back another way when we tried to avoid the first one again, lol.

Laundry twins humming now.

I tried an experiment with printing words from our ink jet printer onto fabric. It didn't hurt anything, but wasn't completely successful. The idea was that the ink can be set in a couple ordinary ways that are probably right around the house. White distilled vinegar soak, or heat pressing. The results for me were very faint, so I guess I would need to buy a product made for the soak, and I'm not really interested so much that I'll rush out and bother with that. I went to plan B, which is the trusty Micron pigment-ink pen which I have right here. I was able to use the too-light printing as a guide and trace, so at least it's still closer to my idea than just trying to trace at a window or something. Live and learn.

LadyM, I'm amazed at your driving ability, so many hours. Enjoy your family meal at the nice restaurant.

Twins' Mom, that will mean you enjoy the pansies just that much more the next year you decide to have them. We don't have to do everything the same all the time. (Well, maybe zinnias. Maybe you do have to have zinnias every year!)

blessed, good for you keeping up with exact kitchen chores. My stove needs cleaning under for sure. I find I still get overtired with low work in the kitchen like the lower part of cabinets/baseboards.

I forgot to add…

I do where make up most day because at my age I look better with it. I also have a morning and night skin care routine that I do every night

I can do my every day make up in 5 minutes … foundation, mascara, natural, colored eyes, shade, and blush. Oh and always lipstick even if I don’t do my makeup. I never leave the house without it

Sweeties mom was the same way with lipstick. Always had it in her hand to put on even in poor health. Right after she died the nurse and I fixed her hair, dressed her in beautiful pjs I had bought for her, put in her earrings and made sure she had her lipstick on

I did this for her, but especially for Sweetie. I wanted his last memory of her when he saw her looking pretty.

My face skin can be very blotchy so I feel better about myself when I do this.

Hey, all! Biggest ta-da thus far today is getting DC from school. I topped off the brake fluid before going and had no trouble. Stopped and got some gas, too, though I did not top that off. I was upset when I had gotten gas at $3.04, and it went down to $2.89 days later, when I was still mostly full. So today, I was down to a quarter tank, and the price was up to $3.29! I'm sure some economist could tell me why the wild swings in prices, but for myself, I don't know.

Just had lunch. Have not yet gone to vote. I need to let the kids know where the voter information is so they can go over it. I also need to dig out their passports for ID -- their licenses have expired. When we get the licenses renewed, I must remember to have DD take the paperwork she needs for a Real ID -- she's the only one of us who doesn't have one. But I don't think that will be today.

DD got a subscription box today of Japanese goodies. It was about the size of a large shoebox and contained both sweet and savory snacks. So far, the only one she's opened was a donut that she shared. This was the November box -- she was supposed to get an October box, but it got lost in either shipping or customs limbo. It seems to be back on its way again now, so we should see that soon.

I need to review the voter information and then get the kids to look at it so we can go. It's just a very small ballot -- council president and school board. Not even any issues. So that won't take long. Later will be to see if I can familiarize myself with DH's car to be comfortable driving it. If not, I will just check the brake fluid every morning and top off as needed. If I can get comfortable with DH's car, that would be preferable, though. We may set up a crockpot for tomorrow -- DH generally does the cooking, and he'll be gone on retreat. I'll have to see if there's something on the menu list that I can bring myself to cook when he is gone. I generally fall back to takeout, but he might want takeout on Friday once he's back from a couple of days of semi-roughing it.

Twins, I wonder if we could do winter pansies here these days? Our zone keeps creeping upward, and being so close to the lake tends to smooth out the extremes. Nevertheless, it does get pretty cold here, so probably not.
Makeup -- I still own some, but I can't remember the last time I wore any. I do polish my nails occasionally.
Errands, especially as far afield as they take you, are quite enough, LadyM!
I suppose Sweetie doesn't care to get out of bed before sunrise, Rose. I know I don't!

Harriet, how does your printer handle fabric (as far as feeding and so forth)? I have heard of printing transfers but not of printing directly on the fabric except for the large-format printers they had at DC's high school.
