Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
Twins great start for today thanks for that.
I'm up a bit early but not overly so.
I've done journals and some quiet space.
We've had frost here I think.
Got the eggs peeled I boiled last nite.
Listening to a qt talk.
Got some great notes on writing from a course book I had in the bookshelf.
I went through the living room book shelf looking for a diff. book, but found this
one I was wanting it last week & could not find it. So that was a treat.
Sinuses were acting up this morning.
I slept well.
I'm trying to put off cooking up the pumpkin and squash on the counter.
I need to s2s.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
we had snow! yay
I think starting our Sunday successfully (I am looking at being effective ) and simply sounds wonderful!!!
thank you d twins for starting us!!!
hope you and your sweet dd are having a wonderful time!
We have a helper this morning - she leaves at noon. it's great bc dd's are here for help and it is nice that I can start my day thinking about the week.
I double checked and my nieces baby shower is at 10 am this Sunday - I thought it was later. I looked at the list and only really expensive things and really cheap things are listed. I was surprised that everything is beige. I wonder if that is a new thing.
d Nancy - praying your sinus behave themselves. feel better
yay on sleeping well
have a great day!
have a great day everyone.
today - is pull up some more christmas.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
Good morning
I am grateful to have a good start to my day today. No overthinking required - just follow along the pathways with one step in front of the other.
Happenings in the kitchen -
** Breakfast made for family - biscuits, eggs, hot links
** Being creative and trying something new-to-me. I filled a pan with thick tomato slices sprinkled with bacon bits and shredded mozzarella cheese and roasted the whole pan. OH MY! It is now my new favorite thing to eat. Roasting any vegetables adds a depth of concentrated flavors. Bonus - the end of season tomato harvest is about to overwhelm with with many dozens. Now I have a new way to use them.
** Breaded and Boneless Honey Barbecue Chicken Bites into the air fryer. Super simple taken straight out of the freezer.
** Beef stew meat out of the freezer to thaw in anticipation of making beef/onion/potato hash later today or tomorrow.
Today, I'll be driving over 100 miles to support DD14's catapult project. The drive is a bit of a hassle, but I'm not complaining about my small role in this effort. I'm just grateful it's happening. DD14 rarely asks for help with school, so I want to make sure she gets the support she needs on the rare occasions she does.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
We had a strangely silent start to our day. Just as dh was getting himself out of bed at 7ish, the power went out. Not that we have a lot of things on during the night, but there is a fan going in the bedroom. I thought dh had turned it off, but I was half asleep and I didn't know how he managed to turn off the fan while he was getting out of bed... I got up a few minutes later and discovered that the power was out. I did what I had to do and got back under the covers and tried to get back to sleep. Nope! Dh started a fire in the fireplace. I was using a flashlight to read in bed. I got up and checked the website of the power company to see just how big the outage was. 37 homes in our neighbourhood were out. Dh asked if it went as far east as the main street. Nope. He asked if I could please go and get him a coffee, so I got dressed and off I went. When I got home the power was on.
The TV was on within moments and it's been football pre game shows ever since. Dh is sleeping in a sitting position and the fire is still going nicely. I've added one piece of wood to what he had done earlier. It smells so good in here.
Other than let the cats out and let them right back in again because it's cold and raining, I haven't done a single thing.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
Couldn't access my usual church service this morning so tried another local one. They had changed their schedule so it wasn't live, but at least close. Terribly grainy screen, though, and sometimes I couldn't understand the audio. I would have gone to another choice but it was so late by then. Some good things about the service, anyway.
Dd was planning to visit this afternoon. Hope that happens.
I had the vaporous puffed rice cereal meal again, at least having herbal tea. Had rice pudding. Creamed spinach.
On phone so wondering what color this will be. Lol

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
Wondering what successful looks like for today at my house. We all had breakfast together, DH made omelets and I added fruit. Kitchen cleaned up, dog walked by both me and dh. Dhouseguest is working on his computer, dh is watching football, dd has gone upstairs I think. I don't know if she's napping or up, not sure whether I should/could go up there. So I feel at loose ends. Dd has the wedding tonight, she will probably hang out with A tomorrow. The wedding is A's younger sister, A was dd's best high school friend, and the bride a year younger and a friend as well. A's brother had a crush on dd but eventually married dd's freshman roommate.
I think I'll go upstairs and get on that computer. So much easier for research and I'll be very quiet. I could try to nap but it's not good for me - I was up at 8:30 and went to bed at 10 last night, and napped yesterday.

Re: Successful Sunday PWYC
got mom's christmas tree put together and lit - no ornaments - but it does look pretty in there. I am not used to having a fake tree but I will say it is nice to have it up for her.
today she is tired again - didn't eat much. she just went to bed.
it's been really nice to have this helper bc she is focused on keeping mom loved and paid attention to.
pulled another box from crawl space -
add to this week - figure out why the lights in the back of the yard are not working.
Monday add: missed before - I tried to do too much in one day
clean the vents and bottom trim in kitchen
clean the water cooler
ordered a present
dd older ordered our yearly pine type candle.
find the clips for the window lights.

This makes me smile. Is this the first SHE snow of the season?IT'S SNOWING!!
Tonight our temps are predicted to drop to 28F so it will be my first freeze of the season. Next week the temps are suppose to be back into the 80's. The HVAC unit must think we are a bit nuts. Heater........a/c......heater......a/c
