Bama, given the current situation, I think I will sit this one out, I'd rather not be deported to Venezuela or something if my papers get mixed up! But how cool that it's close to you! It kinda rings the bells, but I was in Florida only once in 1999 and while we did visit some beaches, I don't remember any names.

The numbers are starting to creep up, kittykatt!

It's another crazy busy week at trissie's household! We had an 8am dentist appointment, then I needed to drop off my car for annual maintenance and biennial technical inspection (that one is not necessary for another 3 weeks, but this is a week when I can do without a car till Friday, which is a rare occasion these days! Plus, as I was already planning on working from home this morning, I didn't have to explain being late (the shop opens at 8am and it's almost an hour from there to my office and I start at 7:45).
Tomorrow is a St. Martin parade, which I am not looking forward due to my cold, but DBD wants to participate. Wednesday, I have to go to DS14's school re his upcoming two week class trip, and DH is then attending the parents-teachers meeting while I will be on taxi duty for the kids' scout sessions. Thurday... other than groceries (if I have my car back), I don't think anything is scheduled? and we have Monday off next weekend, so it's gonna be cottage this weekend, the last before Christmas. I really need a proper break, but I have to wait till Christmas for that!

It's 60 degrees F warmer in Miramar than in my town right now. Thanks for the vision!
I'm grateful for my furnace. I turned my heat up before going to bed and slept well. I know, a cool bedroom is supposed to contribute to good sleep, but I need it warm. I wasn't feeling very good when I went to bed last night. I think it was VERY tired. I feel much better now, waking up in a warm house after a good night sleep. I admit to feeling guilty about using extra world resources, fossil fuels ( natural gas) and electricity, but I don't function well when cold.
DfBS may come home from the hospital today, I will need to pick her up when she gets discharged. That will take at least 3 hours of my day. Plus I'll need to see that she has something for supper.
Post -funeral goals for today:

Record cards and gifts
Drive to florist, pay for flowers. Tell her how beautiful they were, what nice work she does.

Got a call my car passed the inspection and is ready to be picked up - well can't do that before tomorrow after work (it's easier to get there from the city than from our house), but I can ride with DH tomorrow.

gma, do you wear wool socks for sleeping? I couldn't do without them in the winter! Actually research says that your quality of sleep improves when you have warm feet! And I totally get needing to be warm.

trissie, the wonky homework was because the student didn't follow directions. She just got a low score. . . She's been absent a lot, which doesn't help.

I'm off to s2s now. I need to be otd in 1 hour. But, I'm done with pre-class payroll -- except for posting the homework for Wednesday. Still need to add EC to the IR exam.
