Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
Let's do it! Count up the little wins today, each and every one and let's hear them. We do many things over the course of the day - ask bw2 with that whopper list yesterday, or LadyM with her hourly jobs - let's be sure to celebrate what we do, not just dwell on what's to be done going forward.
Ta da! I'm up, and the village is open! Have fun today!

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
Good morning
Twins - thank you for the encouraging start today.
After the appointments and the drive home in the dark last night, I completely zoned out. I didn’t stick to my hourly routine, so a lot of things were left undone. It feels like that time just slipped away unnoticed, and I really don’t like losing time.
At DD14 bloodwork they took FIVE full vials for all the tests that were ordered. I don't remember ever having that many vials taken at one time, but she handled it without any problems. I am so proud of her.
DD14 trusted counselor gave us a recommendation to a pediatric therapy place for the ABA therapy. I'll check with them tomorrow (today is holiday) and get that process started.
DUncle called last night looking for information on a person he graduated high school with in 1953. He was best man at his friend wedding then lost touch when they went to different universities. DUncle is 90 years old and lonely to find someone in his generation to visit with. I am going to make this a priority

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
today my hopes
finish cooking my beef burgundy - it soaked in wine all night - I make a vegetarian one with mushrooms that I like as well - I think it's more work then regular beef burgundy
(go to laundry mat)
clean vents in kitchen, laundry room, dining room, maybe (probably not) the front room
first floor needs vacuuming again
today is bathroom day
someone took my laundry out of the dryer and piled it onto the dining room table - that's more a furumph-lol but it makes the house look cluttered - also because dd younger left her laundry there and someone put clean blankets unfolded there as well!
dd's intestinal problems have come back - I hope she can get into the gi - something is wrong and she is loosing weight that she should not be loosing.
--------------------------------
Hi d lady good morning
I love that we all work together!
you are definitely allowed to zone out after coming home at night ,after a long drive!
wow that was a lot of blood at one time. how wonderful for her that she handled a difficult blood test that most adults would not be comfortable with!
I hope you are able to find your D-uncles friend! praying that they can have time together.
d harriet have fun working in your sewing room! I love making my craft/sewing area work for me again!
---------------------------
hello everyone - may you have a great day!

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
Hi!
There is more snow on my car. I haven't let the cats out this morning but 2 of them had their treats. Dh is still sleeping. I've been stitching.
When I was out of the house yesterday afternoon dh did some of the dishes. I haven't put anything away yet because I want to rinse some of them. He tends to use cold water and very little soap. Oh, well... he tries. He also took out a bag of garbage that was at the back door. Last night he also took the garbage out from the bathroom.
I am not going out until after noon if I go out at all. All government offices and banks are closed for Remembrance Day. Dh says all beer and liquor stores usually open at 12 today instead of their usual time. I don't know about grocery stores or pharmacies.
Not much to do here today.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
I have been out to the shed 2x this morning already!
Took items out to can at the curb.
Brought in a couple others for later.
Some are from the rig and for a prepper basket I am assembling just for fun.
Found a compas you wear round your neck.
My bruise looking area from blood draw last Wed. is nearly gone.
Foggy here today.
Yesterday's adventures while cleaning:
Got the duster stuck on a stick for reaching under stove, china hutch, & fridge came off under the stove.
I had to figure out how to take the drawer under the oven off the rails and got on my hands and knees to
fetch the duster back out. Then crawl back to an upright position! LOL!
Figured out a dance type move side to side and up on toes for my balance exercise is easier than
just standing in one spot and still used muscle for strengthening.
5 things that help with brain health
[Notes from the link I shared yesterday.]
1. Good sleep
2 Community ~ thanks gals for that!
3 Good food choices.
4 Exercise / walk
5 Do something different.

Success!!
I found several articles and information about DUncle friend and sent the links to his phone. He texted me back thanking me. How many 90 year olds do you know that text? He also chooses to live in his own home, drives himself 40 miles to grocery shop each week, attends church and participates in his small community events. DUncle is pretty amazing IMHO.
Breakfast for the family = Biscuits, hot links and cupcake eggs. DH said that is what his Mom called eggs cooked like I did this morning. I used silicone cups in air fryer which I'm certain his DMom didn't. ANYway, the cooking method is different, but the ingredients are the same - slice of ham shaped to hold an egg and topped with shredded cheese.
I've walked 4 rounds so far today. I wanted to get ahead in walking for the day.
DD14 was holding her arm stiff this morning and said it is sore from the blood draw. We looked and there is no bruise. I encouraged her to gently move her arm instead of holding it stiff.
DS17 left early this morning for work since he didn't have to do homeschool.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
DD's delay did not lengthen last night and she was landing at LaGuardia at 11. Of course, still had to get home but she was on the ground.
As for us, dh fell asleep early - tired out from company and all. I went to sleep at 10, missed dd's text but knew then that she was in the air. I have nothing today except for body work. Need to text dmassage therapist to be sure he's okay with me coming in with a cold. I had a COVID vaccination six weeks ago so pretty sure I'm not there.
Whoops, as usual I left this sitting here. Will post this and CUOP.

10:00am hourly tasks accomplished. I also made a pot of soup with 2 kinds of meat and 10 kinds of veggies. No one else will touch it but it is my favorite kinda of soup. It fits in my calorie & Macronutrients for the day so i can eat the entire soup if I want.
Been texting with DGS28. He started a new job yesterday (same employer just a different department) After several years of doing IT, he decided to switch into accounting base job. He kept the same pay but isn't on call now when the network goes down. He is trying to get me to do something with him today. I might be able to hang with him for a couple hours, but the priority today is monitoring DH and keeping focus on DD14 catapult which is due tomorrow. Can I combine all 3 of those things? We will see how it goes.....

n many parts of the world, people take a two-minute moment of silence at 11:00 a.m. local time as a sign of respect for the roughly 20 million people who died in the war. Veterans Day is on 11 November and commemorates the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany, which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning—the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918.

Catching up.
I agree with bw2, LadyM. No shame in collapsing after such a drive and day. You're back together today and that's what matters. Glad you were able to find info on duncle's friend, and hoping they can connect.
Cathy, same with dh about washing dishes here. Or he'll put things in the dishwasher that I use every day instead of just washing. Government and post office, banks, closed here as well.
bw2, a lot on your list for today. Reminded me I need to run the roomba downstairs. Have been trying to do it on Monday but was too much going on yesterday a.m. to start it up. Your beef burgundy sounds delicious!
Nancy, I love the ideas you are having for balance moves. There was one yesterday that trainer wanted me up on one toe while other was forward in the air, and there was no way....
And thank you for the reminders:
Yes, LadyM. Commemorating when the guns fell silent across Europe. I remember poppies being worn here when I was a child, and I was in Canada once around the day and so many wearing poppies to remember.

I am home the rest of the day, and dh is out this evening. I'd like to join Harriet with some crafty area clean up or perhaps stamping too. Left that desk a mess after stamping when dfriend was here week before last.5 things that help with brain health

I really need to eat something substantial. I "found" Andes mints in my purse and ate too many. And I need to set a timer and do a round of tasks. After that I can probably head upstairs. Dh went to a nearby town for a bourbon errand and lunch, I think. In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
