Dh got up just as I was posting earlier. We had our coffee/hot chocolate together. He asked what was for supper. I told him what we had decided last night. I have a cabbage that I want to use up. I mentioned the sausages that are in the inside freezer, so we are having those. We are also going to have perogies.

I ended up having a nap. I was reading and my eyelids decided to close. Thankfully I was cuddled up under the blankets in bed when this happened.

Awe. My heart is full.
DUncle90 just texted me that he spent two hours on the phone catching up with his 91 year old friend. I’m so thrilled to have played a small role in reconnecting them. Sometimes I wish the internet didn’t hold so many details of our lives, but in this case, it truly brought joy.
In between doing other things, I am watching Next Gen Chef. I love cooking shows but don't enjoy the foolishness that some include. This show is professional, and the competition is intense.

I have a win / did get leaves raked up out front just before the trash truck came for a pick up yea!
Did up my dishes too.
Looked up microwaves not in stock.
One might work I will check and see if it has a clock and how much it weighs.
On my way to step goals for this part of my day.
Basement walk about in a bit.
Skipped out of the house stuff b/c of fog.
It's some better but cool and damp out.
Got my steps in.

Some ta das:
-Brunch although I left fruit for later
-kitchen cleaned up
-Zepbound injection
-refilled meds containers
-finished with morning meds
-bed made
-roomba still going
-started dishwasher, not full but stinky
I'd like to go upstairs but ddog has decided she likes it on the screened porch in the sun. It's 47 degrees, close to the high for today and sunny. I think I'll go up anyway. I should be able to hear her when she's ready to come in.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
The physical therapy office called while I was in the garden so I made a quick trip inside the house. I had a choice of scheduling DD14 appt next week and drive to the city......or wait until first week of December and see a PT only 6 miles from our home. I know the reputation of this local place and it is excellent. I choose to wait the couple of weeks before starting DD14 PT. This decision will save me an hour travel time plus 50+ miles of driving for each of her appointments.
DS17 called to say he was heading home for lunch and asked what was on the menu. He can choose from .....pepperoni pizza, chicken nuggets, chicken & rice, cheeseburgers which are all in the ready-to-eat box. Or he can cook, make a sandwich, bowl of cereal, or a bounty of other options.

Welll.......poo.
It appears DD14 catapult project isn't happening.
This morning, I texted DD49 to ask if there was anything we could help with. She said it was all good and they would deliver the catapult to DD14 this afternoon.
A few hours later, DD49 called and said DSonIL isn't feeling well and she is taking him to ER.
DD14 is going to ask for an extension on the project.
I really hoped this project would go well and that DD49 and DSonIL could be the heroes. Right now, it’s not looking too promising.

((blessedw2's ddyounger)) Get well soon.
Oh, LadyM, I pray your dsonil will be able to get good info and be home soon. Joyful to hear that your duncle had such a good time catching up with an old friend.
HRH and I both had TaDas today -
He put together and used his new contraption that blows leaves out of the gutters while you stay on the ground.
I got the quilt changed in the den, vacuumed behind the couch there while it was out, rotated the quilts on the two racks in the bedroom.
(Yes, I vacuumed. Hopefully not so very much a no-no. Just behind one couch.)
Ds and his children came by. They played around with the new contraption outside. Between all the use, there are no leaves in the gutters anymore. Plenty on the trees, though. So, the finish is only temporary. DgdC and I sat with the quilt that had just come down and she read the long, embroidered history on it to me and her dad.
Ds is coming back to get recyclable and trash for me - oh, I hear him now. BBL

Oh, (((LadyM and dd14))) -- I am so sorry about the catapult. I hope dsil is okay, of course, but I also hope the teacher will be kind to dd14 and allow the extension on this project. I know dd14 must be so disappointed!
I was wondering what happens to the ones you mentioned who have no one to help at all, and cannot do the project. Did the teacher give some alternate assignment or do they just have to take a zero?
I am so sleepy today. DGD is back home for an hour or so -- then she will come back to me while ds and ddil go to the chiropractor. I'm really worn out -- I am so glad they want to be here, but I'm about ready for some time alone, you know?
DGS is on his laptop -- looks like something about space. Now he's going back outside. It is just too cold and windy for me.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
So sorry to hear that Lady and Lord M's dsil is at ER.
And Harriet vacuuming? Hope you don't get in too much trouble.
I piddled with cards/stamping for a while and am playing genealogy at the computer. I am feeling under the weather. Very sore throat going up into the ear. Don't feel like doing much.

Re: Ta Da Tuesday PWYC
Hello! This morning, I picked up DC from school and we went to the dentist for fillings. Right now, it is sunny; then it was not. The snow was so bad that I could see barely 3 blocks ahead. Once I got to the highway (white knuckle merging in with such low visibility), traffic was going at about 40-45 mph. I saw three accidents, one of which happened right in front of me -- I was waiting at a light behind a truck, and a car made a turn and slid right across the median and hit the front of the truck. Now, though, you'd never guess it had been so bad. After getting my tooth filled, I went to the pharmacy to get my prescription from the psychiatrist (the latest med/dosage we're trying for the ADD), and they said I can't have it for another week. I'm not sure why, when I have completely finished the previous prescription, and earlier, I was able to get new dosages when I had not finished the old ones. Go figure.
I really should go get gas. I didn't have time to stop on the way to the dentist, and by the time we were finished at the pharmacy, it was too close to DD's work time. But if I don't go today, I will have to leave early to take DC tomorrow and stop for gas on the way -- I don't have enough to get back to the college comfortably. Ugh! It's supposed to be cold rain tomorrow; I'd definitely better go this afternoon.
blessed, what do you make your vegetarian beef burgundy with?
Nancy, I think I would still be stuck on the floor! Score points for agility!
LadyM, how wonderful for your uncle to have found his friend -- you're an angel for doing that! I hope DD14 is feeling better soon and that she can get the extension on the catapult. I hope your DSIL is well -- his health has been tentative lately, hasn't it?
Twins, I'm glad you have a restful day. Got poppies after church on Sunday -- there were vets out after Mass taking donations. I hope the sore throat is better soon -- and doesn't turn into anything else!
Cathy, cabbage, sausage, and pierogi sounds like a good Eastern European meal!
Harriet, that sounds like a wonderful contraption! And the time spent with the quilt sounds neat!
Will you get the evening alone, lucylee?
I forgot to post this earlier, but I think I'm all caught up now. I did go and get gas, and I filled my tires besides. I left a message with the doctor, who called back and asked for more details, then called the pharmacy and straightened everything out. DH is out at a wake -- his friend's sister. I don't know how long the line will be, so I'm thinking I should start dinner. I just have to decide what -- the thing I want to make most is one of DD's least favorites, but this is her worst day of the week at work -- they're always shorthanded on Tuesdays. So, do I please myself (corn casserole) or give her some comfort (red beans and rice)?
