Morning all. I think I'm not going to reply individually. I have a bit more time Monday usually cause I start after school run. I'm getting super frustrated with my neck feeling like I'm constantly living with headaches and my arm is getting more affected.
And I was trying to relax with my crochet again. I feel like it's going to defeat me yet. I don't think I've tackled intermediate pattern yet. I keep missing one little chain stitch between. I didn't notice this one in the last row it seems it's in the previous one again. It is stressing me out more than is worth it right now. I think it is getting put on hold for the moment.
I should do some things before work. The almost headache again is not helping. Basic Tidy. Find lunch. Eat something. School run and work.

Re: Maine Coon Monday
Waving to all! We just got home from the cottage, and it's 5pm and tomorrow is a school day (bank holiday today for International Student Day and Velvet Revolution Anniversary) with all that that entails.
We played board games and I spent a lot of time reading by the fire and one night I slept 11 hours (yes, I was very, very exhausted), so I guess I am rested and ready to face the week. I hope? I just really don't want a repeat of how emotionally exhausting last week was, and my calendar shows I have out of office work group meetings on Tues+Wed and an 4 hour online seminar of Thursday, so I kinda don't think it's gonna be a very productive week workwise, but there's only one medical apt on Thursday and no other errands to run after work.
I haven't read the earlier posts, so hoping everybody is OK? I'll get back to it later!
TaDas
- all the usuals at the cottage
- clean and winterize the place
- pack everything up
- drive home
- unpacked dirty laundry and started a load
- unpacked and put away bag of cold food
ToDos
- unload DW, the one task from morning routine that has to be repeated even here
- unpack and put away rest of clothes
- clean master bedroom

Back from the gym - AND s2s! Go, me!
I see women looking like they took showers and all made up before they come. I look like something the cat drug in.
I don't even comb my hair sometimes.
helian ~ I'm sure your ex-pastor appreciate you guys loving on him. LOL @ baby's genes. I imagine that your whole family is blonde. Is the baby dark-haired?
Bama ~ I can't believe Thanksgiving is already here, either - which makes Christmas right around the corner. THAT makes me nervous.
(((Laurlind))) So sorry about the chronic pain issue. I feel ya...
L.Ann ~ "twas a fun weekend - some work, some fun, some Li'l H, some church - good balance. Ugh.. strep is going around here, too.
Wow, trissie! I'm amazed you could sleep through all the kid stuff going on. Hopefully, this week will be a little more controllable.
Okies... need to go rustle up some vittles. yeeee haaaaw!

Re: Maine Coon Monday
Trissie you must have been exhausted. I get up way to many times to wee and I have problems falling back to sleep. If I get 8 hours that is a lot. I believe though our bodies will make us sleep when we truly need it, sounds like a restful weekend.
L. Ann may recovering happen quickly.
Laura pain sure does get in the way. I am impressed you can crochet, I have tried, my carpal tunnel doesn't like it and it requires too much brain work.
Bama that is a nice short easy to accomplish todo list - start with laundry and wiping counters
Helia - enjoy your slow start, I have those everyday and I actually love them but I really also feel I waste a lot of time, I sure do accomplish more when I am super busy than half retired.
Kitty - interesting info on Maine Coons. Our foster kitty came with many issues - ring worm, a staph infection, fleas. I think we have gotten on top of all of that. No more fleas, he has lost a lot of hair on his ankles and around base of tail and butt and on his belly from staph but the cream and antibiotic shot took care of that I think. We have had to give him a bath once a week and he gets cream twice a day on the spots and he is wearing a recovery shirt which he actually likes. He is so calm. I hope his hair grows back.
Well I put this list of things that need doing on the weekly list page as I am so much better at checking there so I don't have to try to find the last time I checked in here. This is kind of the weekly list. I will take a hint from others and pick my next 3. I actually might group into 3s below the list.
Shower and straighten hair and take pills
Fluff and fold load in dryer and put a new load in washer and fold that when it is done. It is the least I can do since I am home all day.
Change sheets on bed and wash those sheets.
Sort 1 basket at a time in hopes of doing all 5 of decluttering I have done so far
I need to have a trash, donate and keep box.
Deposit 2 checks and send off menards rebate
re sort (we used for a stash and dash), my office hutch and desk drawers.
Clean off 2 bookcases and reorganize in office
Go through closet in office.
Make cushion covers for my rocking chairs picked up material on Saturday
Recover the dining chairs (though thinking of painting table and chairs so may wait on recovering them. They are currently white)
Finish cleaning out guest room after the laundry baskets of gift closet are cleared.
Repair graduation robes
make 2 stoles for priest and deacon (orange for gun awareness Sunday first Sunday of every month - ( I have had this material for years)
Once I sit down to sew I honestly could do all of this in about 1 hour per project (not counting chairs). The sewing machine is in C's room since he inhabits my craft studio. I may set up a card table in bedroom and bring up sewing machine so I can just focus.
Finish decluttering bathroom drawers
Gift, pitch or put way everything.
Clean off desk.
Clean out pantry
Clean out Fridge
Make up meals to use up our food or donate it to people who need food if I can't figure out how to use it.
Start a load, Steam dryer
Take shower and dress
Straighten hair. Decided to straighten tomorrow
Get clothes from dryer
Dump on bed to fold
Fold
half done
Found 2 more loads so took all
Start 1
Flip laundry and start 2
Leave for Chiropractor
Drop off check to painter
Drop off diapers to friend
Come home and put in dryer
Flip second into dryer
Fold clothes
Put new sheets on bed. This will wait until tomorrow morning
Sort basket on floor into donate to healing hands or give away on buy nothing
Make post for buy nothing
Get 1 basket from guest room
Sort into keep, pitch or donate
Repeat for basket 2, 3, and 4
Fold sheets and put towels back in bathroom
Clean out drawers in bathroom
Sort into keep, pitch or donate
Put all the keeps away
Box up all donate for car
Take all the trash out to trash can
Check in here
deposit 2 checks
Tidy off top of desk and top of hutch just so it looks better
Declutter drawers of hutch and desk into a basket and go sit in LR and sort
Watch a show
reorganize drawers, add to trash and give away box in trunk or online post.
Go through book shelves and sort
Dust them
Remove what no longer is needed and put in boxes in car or in trash or rehome somewhere else
My office, my emotions, would feel so good if I did this.
When this is done, set up a 2 by 4 table in guest room and bring up sewing machine then I can use bed to lay out and cut cushion fabric or stole fabric or lay out robes to repair the rest of this week. If I did one project each of the next 3 to 4 days that would be amazing.
On a different day - maybe next Monday when cleaning lady comes, take out all of the food from the pantry and sort and weed. I want to get rid of half of my gf flours and rebox what I have. Gifting these flours to a gf friend.
I have 5 rolling shelves in pantry and 3 of them are full of food and 1 is full of oil and vinegars and 1 GF flours and sf baking items I want to do the food shelves first and then the top of pantry had 3 shelves full of of random food and things so I want to clear that out too. I want to take stock so I can ask GABE (my Ai) to help me with using up the items I own into foods and put that list on the refrigerator to plan meals. I have some wierd foods and many that probably need to be just thrown out.

Re: Maine Coon Monday
Sorry about the headache, Lauralind. Ugh -- is it feeling better?
L Ann, I didn't realize you were restricted from driving. Is your DD39 helping out with errands, groceries, etc.?
Smile, I often don't bother to comb my hair before going to the gym either, if I go before I s2s. LOL! Yes - dh, myself, and our 3 kids are all blond. Our kids had white-blond hair when they were little. However, little I has black fuzz on her head and a darker skin tone. I guess it could change, though. I have no opinion on dark v. light hair -- it's just very interesting to me to see my son's daughter with darker hues. F is adopted but apparently has Spanish genes. I'm adopted - and ancestry.com says generally N. Germanic/ Scandinavian genes. Dh has Jewish and French genes as well as Germanic and generally N. European; one of dh's sisters (sister #2 out of 5) has a darker skin tone + dark hair. Sister #1 also has dark hair. Dh's father was a bit darker too. Probably TMI. LOL! I find this sort of thing interesting.
Bama, I need some giddy up in my hitch or whatever too!
Glad you got a long sleep, trissie. You needed it. Maybe you still need more. Hoping with you for a less crazy week.
I might go to the weekly list thread too, CL. You are still staying so busy.

Re: Maine Coon Monday
Wtg, everyone! A wasp or something similar stung my finger while I was trying to get it outside so a little hard to type. It’s swollen and throbbing, put some Neosporin pain relief on it and it’s starting to subside. I gave up the rescue and just sprayed the rest of them, several in a couple of windows. Will add gather them up and clean the windows to my list.
