Monday Managed PWYC
Just tap the wand twice to "Manage Monday." [Harry Potter reference - see Mischief Managed map] It's magic!
It's the week before Thanksgiving, five weeks before Christmas week, and six to the new year. What needs management today? Is it menus? the home? calendar? routines? Tap the wand and let's get moving!

yes I need that map d Twins! : Monday managed!!! sparkle sparkle - pulled my wand (my swiffer dust wand) and sparkle sparkle: poof **get 'er done")
I don't need management in deciding what to bring for thanksgiving: d sil will suggest to me what to bring - love it!
I need management in: making a menu and sticking to it for December. (and actually cooking)
put away - is a big issue for everyone in this house
wrapping presents - and put them in one area
getting mom's new room set up while the addition is put on.
this week: is supposed to be bedroom zones - so boring and I need to focus on other things:
for me it is put away and talking to family about expectations of the next month about putting things away.

Re: Monday Managed PWYC
Monday cards pulled,
2 errand cards pulled,
xmas 15 minute card pulled but it will probably be an hour
- I need to put the light holders up on the window and let them sit for a day or two before putting up the inside lights.
PUT AWAY CARD: even the helper who wanted to do mom's laundry left the laundry on the couch in mom's room.
special card for today:
take down curtains in 3 season room
move doll house - it's pretty and we have used it as a decoration over the years
breakfast me
meds mom
mom just got up - I only had to help her stand with helper
- helper is washing her down
- I may give her bath tonight - she won't like it but I think it's necessary
dh hand washed some dishes
- turned on the dw that I had set up last night and forgot to turn on-
I kind of cleaned out the sink

Re: Monday Managed PWYC
Mornin' everyone! We had rains last evening and into the nite I slept well.
Before bed did a big seam on my current sewing project to get it going & pinned the next one.
I have two more seams to press pin and then sew neck closing and arm holes.
So I'll be doing that off and on today.
Did the bujo & planning & a.m. pages.
Desk duty is OMM.
I have foods prepped for the day. # Grateful for the weekend cooking adventures & seeing DD that went well.
Yea!

Re: Monday Managed PWYC
It's funny how dh's retirement changes my Monday a.m. Instead of having a quiet Monday a.m. reveling in the quiet, I now get started with washing our towels and running the Roomba on Monday a.m. This forces him to get up out of his chair and turn off the TV himself.
Anyway, he went to Walmart and is now back in the chair, albeit without the TV on, lol.
Neighborhood HOA drama. As a board member I'm thinking of what's best for the neighborhood, not necessarily what I prefer. I hope a person in the neighborhood will understand that.
I only have my workout today. Supper is grilled chicken thighs. Think we could add broccoli and sweet potato? DH got chicken thighs at Costco, I don't like the way they're cut up there in the packages so I'd prefer he not buy them, but he doesn't remember that. I'd like to get them out of the freezer and gone. The roomba is still going, towels are in the dryer. Dh will go to bowl soon.

Re: Monday Managed PWYC
Good morning
My Monday is off to a good start as I follow along the various paths in place. I do love the structure the cards give my day and assurance that all the tasks the keeps the home running smoothly are not forgotten.
One minor blooper was having to return home when I noticed something DD14 was wearing. She quickly changed clothes and made it to school on time.
I've had 2 roombas in the past and decided they took more effort to maintain than actually doing the floors myself. However, with improved technology I am wondering about giving them another try. Hum...
Today is my semi-annual Prolia infusion to treat osteoporosis and increase bone mass. Why do they call it an infusion and have to go to a special place when it is a shot in the arm? They do test my calcium level before giving the shot so maybe that is why it has to be done at hospital? ANYway, that is on the calendar for this afternoon.
Afterwards, I want to do a quick stop at Sam's and pick up the cold & fresh items needed to be restocked. If it can be shipped through the mail I typically don't buy it in person, but the cold & fresh items can't be shipped.

Re: Monday Managed PWYC
Pausing to take care of item I keep putting off...
Fill out forms and submit documents for DD14 to meet with ABA therapist.
It didn't take that long, so why have I been thinking it was going to be a big deal.
ANYway, it has been submitted online and now the ball in in their court.
I heard DH start his pickup and move to location where the trailer of limbs is located. I immediately knew what he was trying to do (haul them off). Thankfully DS17 is always willing to help. He stopped his homeschool and put the trailer on DH pickup for him. Then DS17 rode along with DH to the burn pit (1/2 mile away) to unload the limbs. I want DH to keep doing everything he can as long as he can. However, he needs to be monitored because sometimes he forgets how to do things and it isn't predictable what or when he will forget.

Re: Monday Managed PWYC
hello - over here we have a lot of grumbly unhappy people - I am happy.
- dh was grumbly about the dumpster being here - he wouldn't move the cars and when they came he grumbled through the whole thing. we had to have - lets be polite to people moments as workmen are starting to show up.
dd younger is upset - rightly so - brother opened her credit card from Florida and her bank mail -(I have to ask her not to do that).
I know he did it on purpose. I told her to send her mail here. why he does these things I do not know!
dd older is at work -
my meds taken
sat with mom and chatted as the helper wasn't talking but sitting there as mom ate - mom is with it and doing well today.
(sat with her for about an hour and half)
having dd olders soup for lunch. very good
dishes emptied from dw
-----
next continue my cards.

I need to take the notes that I made yesterday and put them on 3 x 5 cards
thought it would take a long time - 10 minutes
Monday kitchen cards.
cleaned two of the windows in kitchen
cleaned behind, on top of, underneath etc. of the water cooler
clean window over sink well
put away the toilet paper packages
I should wash the wood trim in the kitchen but I don't feel like it.
dusted kitchen walls
washed the dining room window

Re: Monday Managed PWYC
I got the other arm hole pinned on the vest after doing some outside leaf raking prep.
Then went out and did more leaf raking in prep. for trash day.
Got 4 bags done up. I usually try for three bags a day but will be doing more if there is room
in the can. It needs done and I need the exercise.
It's good for me to have outside things to do with fresh air as well.
I'll take a rest break for some soup then head back out to clean up what I've raked up.
Wet leaves can be heavy so a bit at a time is my plan.
-----
Went out for another round of leaf raking and got the can full.
Break time now.
It's just before noon.
