Dogged, does the alert system testing mean that phones will start making loud noises?
Bama, I've heard that if you make one recipe out of a cookbook, it's a good one, and if two, it's a great one. If none and you are not even tempted to try one in the next month when you go through the cookbook, then it's a good start for tossing!

trissie, yes, it makes a very loud sound in two alternating tones. Then a voice comes on to either say that it's a test, or to announce a tornado or an Amber Alert. Then back to the tone. It comes over phones, radios, TVs, Alexa Echos and I'm not sure what else. You have to interact with the screen to turn it off.
An Amber Alert is for when a child is kidnapped by a known kidnapper and is in imminent danger. E.g. a child is kidnapped by their abusive non-custodial parent and the police have reason to expect a murder/suicide. In that case, they are able to give pictures of the adult and the child, tell the public what car/license to watch for, tell them where they were last seen etc.
What the Facebook message was warning about is that this will bring the hidden phone to the attention of the abuser, so turn it all the way off and hide it again.

Trissie, in that case I’m sure they’re all good books to have around. Most of mine are old church lady cookbooks and they know how to make a good meal.

Dogged, glad you found the jeans. I lose stuff more now than I did when I had kids and mom in the house. Explain that! I do hope anyone in need of that message gets it in time to do something about it.

Done:
Bible
Weigh
D2S
Play ball with Beau
Spot clean lr rug, bathroom floor
Play game
Cook lima beans
Breakfast ate and logged
Dust
Vacuum - had to vacuum with dogs inside since tech is outside and they bark so does it even count?
Laundry
#1 Dh’s clothes being sorted
#2 Dh’s clothes drying
#3 White towels and cloths washing
Safelite guy got lost so fielded multiple phone calls directing him to my house, he’s here now and working on Rhonda/Honda
Litter
Lilys bathroom done
Cat bathroom done - replaced “floor” with new liner and oil cloth cover (floor is a sheet of plywood over the tub with boxes set on top, nobody bathes in there so this saves some room and keeps litter from going down the drain)
Water 💧💧💧💧💧
Spot clean rug again thanks to Tux
Emails
Brush Toby, Jeremy
Inside animals fed
Tackle laundry room - scoop litter boxes and love, clean underneath and replace liners, hand scrub floor, put everything back, wipe down washer, door, wall
Lunch ate and logged
Dw unloaded
Hand washed iron skillet, so why didn’t I hand wash the other cup needing a cleaning? 🤷‍♀️
Safelite finished and gone
Added ham to lima beans

Do:
Drink water
Sort dh’s laundry #1
Finish watching the Jim Jones Dateline special I started while I was eating and waiting on guy
Nap - y’all can have any mojo I have left, I’m starting to drag despite a coffee and a Diet Coke
Exercise - arm weights, walk
Dremel dog nails
Wash couch covers
Paperwork
Planner catchup
Round up garbage
Clean out fridge
Clean glass, mirrors
Take books to grams
Load suv with jars, donations
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Dogged, such a message should go out not only those who have hidden phones, but also to those who work in quiet environment - I mean, loud noises are the last thing you would want in a room full of napping toddlers or in a hospital or nursery home!
Bama, and there's also the sentimental cookbooks and they have earned their living quarters as well!

I have to be brave and strong and do the full clean-out of the fridge (down to washing the glass shelves) now, when it's (mostly) empty, as tomorrow is grocery day and it will be far more complicated! I really don't wanna, but I will put on a good audiobook and do it.

TaDas
- afternoon routine
- dinner
- deliver ironed and folded laundry from yesterday
- evening routine

ToDos
- clean out fridge
- 15 on today's laundry
- 10 in living room

The message did go out to everyone, trissie. The alert system sent out a Facebook message yesterday telling us that they were going to test the alarms today. Today's message was sent by a local police force, who no doubt have experience dealing with domestic violence. I was just happy to see that someone was thinking about this, as it would not have occurred to me.

Full fridge clean out sits near the top of my very long Donwanna list, but I'm happy to cheer you on!

I know that I've been up doing things, but don't have much to show for it:
Wednesday
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Breakfast for Germane
Put on a pot of coffee
Put away dry dishes
Put on a pot of rice
Shredding documents
Sorted most of the dirty laundry
Searched for the new jeans that I bought. Found them! Added them to laundry.
Got clothes organized for shower
Changed out bathroom towels
Various treats for dog
Fresh kibble for her

I clearly got majorly sidetracked. I did see the doctor today. On the good news front there was no sign of cancer in the lymph nodes and the mass in the endometrium was small and they removed everything. However because it was near the back wall of the uterus there is an increased chance that it could “spread/escape”(probably not the right words but…. So she recommended 3 radiation treatments in a two week period once the surgery heals which will decrease the chance of recurrence from 10% to 3%. No real side effects from this treatment.

I need to get some things done and DD32 is being particularly needy since she was alone so much today,
