I ended up going back to bed after I posted. I slept for 3 hours.

Dh has gone to a grocery store for oranges. He told me he was planning to go out before I laid down. I told him if I looked outside and his truck was gone, I would know he was at the grocery store. Not a huge deal.

When I woke up just now I turned on the dishwasher. I also have to flip the laundry that got washed last night into the dryer.

you must have needed the sleep d cathy!!!

-------------------------------------------------
moved the rug and christmas presents out of the frontroom/living room - now mom's can be moved easily - the Sara steady and the wheel chair were getting stuck on the rug all the time.

mom is having an off day - not eating a whole lot but did drink one 500 cal boost. she ate her fruit and a bit of a waffle.
right now the dining room and the family room are filled.
first: do a put away in the family room - lay out the rug. Maybe put mom's things in the front room as there is enough room.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Today I'm thankful for aspirin for my muscles.
I've swept leaves to the side of the drive way as they can be slick.
Glad for that exercise.
Fetched & processed mail.
I have done another section of notes and taking a breather now.
Sun came out and that helps so much.

I’ve completed two out of my four trips away from home. We just got back from meeting a buyer of one of DS17 vehicles at the tag agency to sign the title and get it notarized.

Homeschool assignments are wrapped up for the day and week, and Thanksgiving break is getting closer to beginning.

DH still isn’t sure his phone belongs to him. He was staring at the screen and said he wished he could talk to him. It took me a minute to realize what he meant—DGS18’s picture is the home screen on DH’s phone. I asked if he wanted to talk to DGS18, and he brightened up and said YES! I pressed a couple of buttons, and DGS18 answered, saying, “Hi Papa! I’m glad you called me.” It made DH’s day.

I made a pot of mac and cheese with hamburger meat, and it takes me back to the Hamburger Helper I used to cook years ago.

Dryer is now empty with most of the clean stuff put away. Just 3 tops to hang up.
Dishwasher is finished as well. While I was waiting for the dryer to finish I washed to pots from last night. Now I just have the metal colander soaking. After I drained the potatoes last night, I didn't rinse the colander. I'm going to go deal with that now while the water is still hot.

Dh bought a large bag full of oranges and apples. He also got me an iced coffee flavoured drink that he knows I love.

I'm thankful that I didn't have to rush to get out of the house today.
OTOH, I am sorry to admit to y'all that I have done absolutely nothing and it is approaching 1:00 pm.

I"ve been watching TV, and scrolling on the phone, and eating. I guess a pop-tart doesn't qualify as a "hot breakfast," right?

After I post this, I promise I will get busy with my "morning" routine... and then my PODA:
[ ] start laundry!
[ ] go to Wmart -- pick up pictures for Christmas cards, and bananas (will double check that I don't need anything else for the weekend
[ ] check dbil's mail -- they are out of town
[ ] type church budget for the pastor
[ ] pick up DGD at 5:15, take her to tumbling class (DS and ddil are going to Booster Club meeting)

Of course, the house does need vacuuming and dusting (we're eating here on Thanksgiving) and I will need to buy some things for Thanksgiving dinner (celery, onions, eggs, milk for chicken & dressing * and chicken!) but I want to wait till next week to buy those things. Of course, I dread getting into the holiday week crowd, but I want to make sure I have fresh ingredients for the things I have to cook.
And dgrands will want to stay here with me since school is out. I'll have to claim a little bit of "Lucy time" as ddil warned them last week!
Dbro is NOT coming. Lots of excuses -- work, perceived flight complications, etc. Says they will come after the first of the year.
-- DS said (to me) "Did you ask him WHICH year???"

Nancy, I am feeling stiff too, with no excuse, but I really have to get back into an exercise routine. I've been super lazy the last couple weeks and there is no reason at all for that! I will do better starting today!

blessed, good for you on getting Christmas presents out. I am impressed! I have a few purchased, but nothing wrapped and ready to put out! (I haven't even got dgd's birthday presents wrapped! EEEK! Her birthday is Sunday, but since ddil has to work until Thanksgiving Day, I don't know when we will celebrate.)
blessed, do be careful with small animals -- I've heard coyotes can get over pretty high fences! I know we have them around here, but thankfully, I haven't seen any in the yard or pasture around my house. I do hear them sometimes at night.

61 cards! LadyM, you do amaze me -- but I know you have probably 5-6 cards for what I put on one. I group tasks on one card. I might ought to use your method. It would be easier, maybe to put away the one card for s/s master bath toilet... than to keep one staring at me with all the bathroom tasks on it for both baths.
(((BIG HUGS))) and prayers for LordM.

OH! Must do laundry! Thanks for the reminder, cathy!

Twins, I have had to turn on the AC also -- high today is predicted to be 78. That is really hot for late November, isn't it? Lots of rain predicted for the weekend.
Dcousin's birthday party has been moved from their house to the church -- which I am very glad to hear! Church is very close by; I'd have to rely on GPS to get to their house. This is the two-year-old whose grandmother is my first cousin and whose dad is dgs' football coach. I'm just giving him $ for myself and dgrands. I don't know what to buy for a two-year-old! He has three sets of grandparents, so I suspect their house is full of baby stuff anyway. He'll have enough toys to unwrap and I won't have to worry about duplicating anything.

Mystery, I had to go to the dentist Tuesday. He was supposed to put in a permanent filling where the root canal was done a few weeks ago. However, he said the place was not completely healed. He thinks the infection is gone, but put me on a z-pack for another week. I have a cleaning in three weeks, and he hopes to complete the filling then.
I wish I was still on my mother's insurance! Although she did pay for the root canal, which I very much appreciate. She said she had paid for my dbro's hair implants a few years ago, and since we agree that he has wasted his inheritance on riotous living, LOL -- not really, we just joke about him -- but I do know my parents have financed more of dbro's life than they have mine -- so I let her pay and said thank you.

Cathy, I think I have needed more sleep this week also, for some reason. I slept through my alarms Monday and Tuesday, and I slept all afternoon yesterday after going to chair yoga. And slept extra LATE today. Sometimes I think I have sleeping sickness.

Nine minutes till I find out if the Wagon Train people are going to be stranded in the snow. I will get in the shower in nine minutes! ;)
Tomorrow is another day.

I'm shaking my head at the number of appointments on my first day of Thanksgiving Break. I had no intention of doing this, but it happened.

7am - wake DS17 because they are loading bulls at 8am.
9am - DD14 to her first physical therapy appointment.
10:30 am - take DH for mental tests
11:30 - DH has EKG
Noon - Lifelong friend funeral at community center. This is the grandpa & father to our next-door neighbor and has been in our home many times. DS17 has volunteer to take DH to this since I can't attend.
1:00 pm Odessey oil change in the city. Appt made before I knew about the funerals.
2:00 pm DH lifelong friend funeral at our church. DS17 and DH will attend.
DD14 has 2 prescriptions waiting to be picked up so I will do that while in the city.
So much for relaxing start to the Thanksgiving break....
