Re: Thankful Thursday Countdown PWYC
Oh LadyM, so sorry for the so busy start to the holiday.
And Lucylee is here and (by now) showered. And I've been up early two mornings in a row now, glad you didn't have to today!
Nancy, are you achy from the leaf raking? The sun hasn't really come out here today, it's very hazy and about to rain now I think. Cheese cake bites? Is it a cheese cake recipe frozen in ice cubes?
Cathy, a three hour nap sounds lovely, I agree with bw2, you must have needed it today. And you're still getting things done.
bw2, you're on top of things already with moving the rug and getting Christmas presents wrapped, even the White Elephant. You remind me that dfriends that we see on Christmas Eve always do one of the "Dirty Santa" exchanges where one can "steal" presents. I'm always doing it at the last minute - hard because there's a 10 year old, a college freshman, and the rest of us are adults. One time I got small bottle of a liquor that the child didn't end up with, lol. I like to try to be creative but it's a hard group. Oh, you had cleaning angels today too! Great all around!
Dh left early for bowling because he said dMillie has been making him crazy barking. He wants a bark collar, I say no. He's also frustrated with me because I sometimes snap at him when he starts talking to me when I'm in the middle of reading or doing something. Part of working out retirement I guess.
I had a really hard workout today. She had me doing low weight/high reps and then doing 90 seconds on treadmill, stepper or bike. I am tired. Walked dog, needed to do that.
I'm going upstairs, the house is quiet. Dog is happy, dh is out.

Re: Thankful Thursday Countdown PWYC
I am home -- went to drug shop (for rx shampoo refill) and to Wmart (bananas and photos) and stopped at S*nic for late lunch. I am kinda addicted to their new Bacon Smash Burger on Pretzel Bun. I leave off the cheese but there's still no telling how many calories are in this thing, LOL, but I probably won't want supper.
I did my morning stretches and put the load of towels in the washer (and now have put them in the dryer.)
I'll have to go get dgd in about 30 minutes.
I also got dbil's mail and put it in his outdoor closet. Dsisil has posted pictures of beautiful beach sunsets. (Dbil is at some kind of conference, but they sure did pick a pretty spot to have it -- Point Clear, I think she said: Rose and Bama will know where I'm talking about.)
I'm going to start setting up an Excel sheet for this budget and see what I can do before I go get dgd.

Re: Thankful Thursday Countdown PWYC
I didn't explain well the many appointments I posted about earlier. They are all appointments for tomorrow.
DS14 is home from school so Thanksgiving break has officially started.
I am impressed by our neighbor's paperwork organization skills. DS17 bought a pickup from them. It is a 1994 that they bought 31 years ago when it was new. They pulled out the original 31 year old title without a problem. When DS17 brought the title to me, I pointed out that it has a lien on the title that needs to be released before we can transfer it into our name. DS17 went back to the neighbor and they pulled out the lien release paper from 1997 with no problems. WOW. I can only dream of having that good of a paperwork system to locate 30 year old papers in minutes.

Yes I have been working hard on leaves this week, but when I was getting out of the truck
after getting groceries yesterday I was stiff & sore and it was difficult.
I have been moving slowly today.
Did finally get the rest of my exercise in on my stat bike this evening.
Did up the dishes and got them put away.
Thought I was done with the knitting project but ran out of yarn so had to rip it back
a bit and I'll be reknitting some to finish tomorrow or later..

Re: Thankful Thursday Countdown PWYC
I typed the budget. It took about an hour -- but mainly because I couldn't find it after I saved it!
I think my computer was trying to put it somewhere that I didn't know how to get to! I FINALLY got it saved into my documents and into the church folder. SMH...
I will need to get the pastor to go over some things with me because I didn't realize I was the one who was supposed to be taking notes the other night, LOL! DS may have written down the parts I have questions about. I will ask him tomorrow.
After I finished typing, I spent some time reading emails. I get a steady run of devotionals and podcasts for widows, and it gets overwhelming sometimes. There's a LOT of these I haven't read, but I did see a couple that interested me tonight, so I spent some time on those sites.
I hope I can GMAT and be a little more consistent in our village. I feel like I've been missing out a lot this past week! Tomorrow, I MUST clear off the ironing board so I can use it to wrap presents, and I need to wrap some of dgd's presents. I'll probably let her open one on Sunday, since that is her birthday. The rest can wait till whenever ddil chooses to celebrate.
I wish I could get my body clock back in sync with the rest of the world...
