LadyM…my advice abt ABA therapy is to read and research what people with Autism think abt it and why.
Many are against it and talk about how being forced into the NA.. non-autistic world affected their childhood.

I would never opt for it after reading so much about how adult autistic feel about ABA but that’s my personal opinion.

Also your daughter much like Lucylees grandson seem to navigate the NA world very well. I can also tell you I had an autist student who I am still very close to has grown into a wonderful young adult. She has a undergraduate degree and leads a very professional life without going through ABA

You might wasn to ask Lucylee what her thoughts are as well.

Twin.. thanks for the kind words. Sweetie is up and has agreed to try some soup.

I am so glad I skipped the meal at church yesterday I can only do so many food events in one week and I
chose the one with family.

I'm a bit sore but better for the most part.
Have been purging planners and I need to remember the timer so I do not sit too long at
a time doing that.
Windy good news about half of the leaves are down ~ I've swept the driveway for steps.
A tiny bit of sinus stuff got that to drain helped. Salsa for bfast veg!

I have soup for lunch and food left for dinner.

it's really hard and frightening to see hallucinations, especially at first, It still surprises me once in awhile.(I did find it jarring at first). for dh - his worst was when he was treated with chemo/radiation/low white cell count etc. What he saw was scary but after he came through it - he remembered absolutely nothing. Other times He spoke about cars and car dealerships or his sales job.

When mom has it - she sees her parents, she is fixing things, cleaning things or seeing people (children) etc near her.She Remembers nothing. Ricks mom had it once where she was talking to her sis in law-she lives in Florida - happy discussion - again remembering nothing. (she had an UTI and was dehydrated).

We don't correct them-we just listen - ask what they see if you want. we do a lot of "oh - I didn't know that" or simple things. Mom goes through once in awhile - mostly when an infection is happening or she dehydrates herself. Dh had it again when he had covid couple January's ago.

Don't hesitate to ask your dh's dr. or nurse. It can be dehydration, an infection, reaction to meds - anything. Sending you lots and lots of love.

Blessed…Sweetie doesn’t remember anything from yesterday. I have no idea who he was talking to and what was being said….spooky 😆

He’s up and doing pretty well. Ate soup, sat outside for a while and making sense when he talks

home from eye dr. appointment for mom - they gave her antibiotics for her eyes.
I know she enjoyed going out and she is now sleeping.
she ate well this morning and had almost a full Boost drink.

I have so much to do and not enough brain power to do it.
talked to my brother - very cordial - not fake. which is good - I am not forgetting about what happened but I need to move forward each time. I don't understand it but I need calm in my life.

a dear neighbor passed away - she was almost 93. Lovely person!!! Her husband was an elder at the big church near us - he has been gone since 2011. A wonderful couple!

time for lunch.

dd younger left her dog with us while she went up north with friends, (just for today)

The construction company tore out the slab from the old 3 season room and are now digging a crawl space/foundation for the footings etc. We will have a sump pump in the crawl space. it's been so much fun seeing all the work being done!

So glad to hear that some of Ramblin's concerns are over today. What a difficult trip yesterday, although fluids were really good, I'm sure.

Nice to hear that blessed is having fun (fun!) with all the construction work. I bet it is interesting to behold. Be patient, puppy, Mom will be home soon.

Nancy, when you mentioned that prickly people were there, I was already thinking that you were right to skip that meal. The family meal is wiser. Happy for your dgd.

LadyM, lol, I am struggling right now about a gift card for my dsisil!!! I owe this woman $50, and she doesn't want to take it, and yet her brother HRH is beside himself with concerns that he/we would be seen as ungrateful or not recognizing that she gave us an appliance that really helped. Sigh. She just flat won't take money. We have not given Christmas gifts within the adults in the family for years, so we don't want to cross that line. Double sigh. She used to shop at Michaels all the time, but as dd27 pointed out, we have no idea that she still does. Maybe, maybe, dbil (her brother, too) can give some insight as he sees her more often. Maybe he knows that she regularly orders from Ariver ... ..

Cathy, this morning I got that embroidery marked and in the hoop! At the last minute, I looked at the writing and decided to enlarge by 25 percent and HRH got that done for me on the computer/printer. I think I'm better off. It may take longer, but it won't be as small or tedious. There was drama. I lost the marking pen for a while, and I struggled a bit with the "level" of the fabric (Scotch taping) while I traced (on a window - I don't have a lightbox or anything like that), but finally it looks just right.

Twins', your hair looks so spiffy.

Mystery, your cupboards are full of potential!

Ds called. He says dd27 called him and they had a long talk. Slowly, potential plans for a family get-together next month are forming.
