Home from a 4 hour trip to the city. Sam's was packed. No shopping carts available and very difficult to find a parking space. I needed to pick up a prescription or I would have skipped going into the store. It all worked out okay but I was sure glad to be putting that busy place in my rear view mirror.

DD14 trusted counselor suggested getting DD14 onto the 1.5 year waiting list for her recommended ABA therapy place. The counselor has seen good results from this place. DD14 is good with doing that so that's our plan for ABA therapy.

Another thing is being marked off the things that DH can do. He can no longer put gas into vehicle without someone with him at all times watching every move he makes. Today I used app on my phone to pay (like always) and we were finished pumping gas. At that point, I found out DH had put his credit card into the self-pay slot and it locked his card. It all worked out okay, but DH wasn't aware of what he did.

I did my first attempt at Johnny cakes, the dog was excited to get my try out recipe!
First thing I fried that was not an egg on the stove.
Took me a bit to get the timing; I had some stuff to use up.

I took a break from bagging or raking up leaves this afternoon.

Worked on some notes I wanted to use was glad for meal I had prepared ahead of time for
my dinner.

HRH says he is ready to start work on cards. Will wonders never cease. Bringing it up himself.

I said I'd get the card table out but no, he doesn't want to work there. He says he will clear off a space at his desk. Have to smile at that. I'll get the table out for myself and if he decides that joining me would save him some grief, he's welcome.

I can't do the next load of laundry because ... .. he has another load in the dryer. Smile. He is just amazed at this business of having another chore to do after getting clothes washed. I don't think he ever contemplated the journey from washer to his chest of drawers before the last few months. Happily, I don't have to nag. He looks around and doesn't have socks or whatever and gets reminded without a word from me.

I took down instructions for making a cover for a composition notebook with pen pockets. I'm sure that will be helpful sometime.

My family can't handle a wish list. I'd written a wish list for the first time in forever - chatted about that in A, C and N thread. I was finished. Pencil, paper, tada. But HRH insisted I sit with him while he made an online list, and choose which item among the brands or colors, etc. It took so long, with technical difficulties, I had to sit down and be patient. Finally, we had that done, although in reverse order from what I would consider important to me, since I'd started on paper with the items I cared about, and online, they filed to the bottom as we went.

Thanks for the visual on what a big grocery store might look like this week, LadyM. A good warning to be prepared if we try it.

blessed, at the last minute yesterday, as dd was leaving, I remembered the wrapping paper and bows I'd bought for her. I was so glad I didn't let her leave without it. If she gets a head start like you, she'll have that choice.

Harriet, if your DSisil is a gardener, then, if such a thing (or its equivalent) exists where you are, then I would suggest a national garden gift card. These have a long shelf life, and can be used in almost any garden centre (so you're not tied to a chain). She could then get some she would really like for her garden, or put it towards a big purchase. And, of course, you can just slip it inside a.card, so no fuss or awkwardness! (I'm doing this for my DF PM, as she's been very good to me this year, giving me lifts to places when DH needed the car.) I don't want.to give her "stuff", esp as she's in the process of decluttering her house (4 or 5 generations have lived there, so you can imagine!), and she does love her garden.

Blessed, your construction sounds very exciting, but I think I would rather enjoy reading all about it rather than actually be on site!

My main achievements yesterday were to finish decluttering/ deep cleaning the bedroom, finally contact a very good plumber who changed our dripping kitchen tap, and have all the "extras" for the parish Christmas lunch delivered.
