Glad you're having a quiet morning, Lauralind. Enjoy time with your friend! And I hope ds16's shoulder heals soon.

I've decided not to go to the gym. I'd feel self-conscious with coughing, even if I wear a mask. Ugh. As I said earlier, I very rarely get coughs. Head colds and congestions -- all the time, but not coughs. I'll go for a walk at some point today; the earlier the warmer.

Good morning, kitty ~ laurlind ~ helia!
kitty ~ you are busy!
laurlind ~ I'm hit & miss on the Christmas shopping. Some years, I'm way ahead, and others - not so much.
helia ~ my haircut - probably best described as a short, shaggy bob - lightly layered on top and around - 1 - 2 inches below the ear. I asked her to make the bottom kind of jagged, so she goes in with a razor to finish up. I like a "messy" look.

It was kind of exhilarating getting out at 6:30 to go the grocery this morning. I don't normally get out that early but I wanted to make sure they had pies left. They do homemade bake goods. Well.. I think it's "kind of" homemade - whatever that means. I thought about doing my own, but the logistics are kind of wonky. We're going over today, staying in a hotel. How to transport them, where to keep them. So.. I bought Harvest's because they're already in transportable containers. So, there's that. I bought pies in cookies. Plus, Harvest has 1/2 pies, so I was able to get more of a variety. Their cheesecake is to die for!

Okies...
Next phase - get a shower and pack. Not in a hurry. Just need to be out and on the road by 2.

I used to get a cough with the cold all the time. I had one year at bible school where it must have been a chest infection turned asthma and the puffers were the only thing that fixed it. Much better lately except when I wore a mask all the time. I better not speak too soon I have not had a cold in a while.

Suppose I better get moving. I was crocheting till I found a mistake again I think. Seems I get one row right and don't see something I missed.. still..
Get in the shower and do routines. And see if I do school run or stop and pick up some homework. I think he has some stuff here.

Smile lee that's early out and about. But lots of the boughten pies are super good. And cheesecake? I can't make it so good.

Good morning, everyone!
It’s getting a little hectic here, spending time with dh and dd, cooking her requests since she’s a starving college student in the middle of fall finals, decorating for Christmas, all of the odd jobs that never end…

Done:
Bible on hold since Revelations is next, I did sign up for a Bible in a year app but not sure it’s a good fit, the daily requirement is a reading from the Old Testament, the New Testament, proverbs and psalms. Not sure I can keep up.
Joined book club for next season although I was hesitant, am I still enjoying it, idk.
Weigh
Water 💧💧💧💧💧
Thawing pork chops for supper
Made sausage cheese balls
Dust
Feed and water pets
Scoop litter
Decluttered bar counter
Put sodas in small fridge
Spot clean floors
Trim nails and add cuticle oil
Breakfast ate and logged
Emails

Do:
Vacuum
Mop?
Cook
Bake apple pie
Feed outside animals
Etc.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Smile, that haircut sounds a bit similar to mine! I might have more layering, though - and only 1 inch below the ear. I'm a bit shaggy today - but dh likes the messy/ shaggy shorter hair look. He calls is spunky! :D And those pies sound delicious! If it's the store I'm thinking of, they make great baked goods.
I think the cough is a little worse than yesterday, Lauralind. Maybe it needs to get worse before it gets better. Are you able to correct your crochet mistakes? I could correct my knitting mistakes - only if I caught the mistake while I was still on that row.
Bama, could you read a different part of the Bible with a different guide? I use study guides and commentaries, and read very small segments each day in my QT. Some days, like today, I focus on one verse. There are a lot of advent studies out there, I'm sure.

Well, dbro texted me about an hour ago saying he'd be here in a little over an hour. That's 2.5 hours earlier than the ETA he floated a couple days ago. I think he's adding on a grocery stop and a rest break as well, so hopefully more time. The room isn't ready yet. He says he's completely flexible, which I appreciated -- but he doesn't understand that I need a place for them to go so they're not underfoot all the time. LOL! I mean, I love them - I'm trying to love them better - BUT they do require quite a bit of social energy from me, which he can't see. He's told me he's an extremely low-maintenance guest.  They DO sleep a lot, which is helpful, I'll say.

Next:
- back exercises
- get dressed
- make 1 guest bed + move Mom's books (and dd27's ipad) out of the room
- darks to the dryer
- lights: fold and p/a

Wednesday TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- messages with AS, my personal trainer; I may not come in bc of my cough, though it would be good to exercise.
- email deletions and weather website - 37F now - and temps are just decreasing from now until Friday a.m. There is 4.5 inches snow forecast for Saturday and more on Sunday.
- coffee
- texts with AS - decided my coughing was too often for me to feel comfortable in the gym with other people
- some qt
- load of sheets + our light stuff: w drying
- load of darks: washing
- moved suitcases + most of my mom's stuff out of the guest room; there are some books on the dresser left
- put 1 more duffle bag away + deposited another bag of give away stuff from my mom in the laundry room give away pile, which is growing into a small mountain
- spiffed myself + wiped down shower bc dh didn't do it

laurlind ~ I see you've got a hair appt. Staying the same? Different?
Bama ~ Comfort food from mom is the best!
trissie ~ YGG! Good on you for getting a little "me" downtime.
helia ~ ha! I love it! My hair is just on the verge of being spunky - maybe spunky lite? Don't mostguys thing they're low maintenance?

Okay.. where was I? I haven't showered or packed yet. Decided to get all my shakes & veggie drinks made for the next couple of days. My brain works better when I've got some intense nutrition wedged between. Gotta keep my energy up for Li'l H ddil/R on Saturday. Lots of decorating, more eating, and for me - cooking. Went & picked up some homemade rolls from Apple Dumpling - local country diner.

Break's over. Now to s2s.

Smile lee that's next ... book an appointment... I don't even know if she's got space before Christmas. We'll see. Probably the same. Only thing im deciding if I can manage growing my bangs out or cut them again. I should do the phone calls.

Kitchen is clean. Ds made it to school. Feels better but I made him take one more dose of anti inflammatory.

Helian I fix my mistakes by going back a row. If I didn't on this pattern it would go all wonky. I keep missing one invisible little chain stitch but if I left it that way the peaks would be wrong. Some things you can compensate for but maybe I'm just being particular 😆.
