Smile lee that's next ... book an appointment... I don't even know if she's got space before Christmas. We'll see. Probably the same. Only thing im deciding if I can manage growing my bangs out or cut them again. I should do the phone calls.

Kitchen is clean. Ds made it to school. Feels better but I made him take one more dose of anti inflammatory.

Helian I fix my mistakes by going back a row. If I didn't on this pattern it would go all wonky. I keep missing one invisible little chain stitch but if I left it that way the peaks would be wrong. Some things you can compensate for but maybe I'm just being particular πŸ˜†.

Priority list

Basic routines
Kitchen clean
Get Stella food from vet
Book hair appointment
Book massage appointment
Call gc office should I rebook

Hi Peaches.
Sounds like you're doing a great job crocheting, Lauralind!
Yes, I know that diner, Smile!! It was a favorite of my parents. :) Safe travels.
Have a good evening, trissie.

trissie ~ drinking it right away is probably more for juices. My smoothies have protein powder and "other stuff" besides fruit and greens. My blended veggie drinks are packed with greens and vegetables. When it's just a short visit, it's easier to do them up, carry them in a cooler, than transfer to the fridge. I have pretty good luck with them lasting about 3 days, but not more than that. My thoughts on the nutrition value is that it's better than anything I can get canned or bottled.

Signing out for the afternoon.
Clothes & toiletries are packed.
Need to pack food & drinks & games.

See you on the other side!

Oops I double posted my last one.

Well that makes more sense. The girl at the gc office says most everyone can't open the email cause he's got a really bad program for that. She will send it again and call me for next time. Left messages for the others.

Smile*Lee, well they ARE still healthier than anything pre-procesed, that's right! I keep forgetting how much easier it is to buy "real food" here in Europe, something that was a huge realization for DH when he first started doing USA road trips for work.
lauralind, yay for making those calls!
Bama, Bible in a year is a huge commitment, I once tried to calculate how much I'd have to read consistently and it just wasn't doable for me :-(
helia, it sure looks like winter wonderland is in the forecast for you!

I have 65 minutes till 10pm, which is my internal deadline for stopping with work. I have a list and I will work on it in that order and when the clock strikes, I am done!

TaDas
- start dinner
- homework time!
- fridge clean out
- afternoon routine
- marinated meat for freezer cooking

ToDos
- evening routine
- bake a cake with defrosted fruit
- freezer cooking
- make dough for gingerbread cookies
- ironing

Yes, trissie! It will certainly be winter this weekend. :D Hopefully a wonderland as well. Yes, when I road-tripped to IL regularly, I packed a lot of "real" food to snack on in the car.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels, Smile! And enjoy the smoothies.
Lauralind, you're reminding me that I need to book a hair appointment. My friend JY can't do the next cut for my hair.
Ooh, way to go baking a pie, Bama!

Back from WF; those groceries are put away. I'm feeling a bit crummy. I'm going to do a couple things in the house and then head out for a short walk; getting the blood circulating might be good. When I get back, I'll probably start dinner. Dd27 is joining us tonight.

The bathroom needs some attention, but I will probably wait until tomorrow to do that.

Next:
- move broken chair into the garage
- darks: fold and p/a
- go for a short walk? It is cold and windy -- but moving might be good for me.

Wednesday TaDas!

- darks to the dryer
- lights: fold and p/a
- greeted dbro + dniece
- lunch
- moved $$ around in bank accounts
- WF: picked up ribs + odds and ends
- put food away
- called PO to check on their outside boxes; I put 3 checks in one on Nov. 13, and they haven't cleared yet, including one to the IRS. They say they empty them twice a day. Hmmm.....

Hello, everyone!

Helia and Laura, "white food" appears to be mostly carbs, mostly quite processed and mostly fairly pale in colour, for example, white bread, pasta with just cheese on top, potatoes in varying forms, chicken nuggets, fish fingers etc. Probably very little fruit and no colourful veggies. So not really a balanced diet!

Bama, I often use the "Today in the Word" app for my QTs. I like the format with a verse of the the day, followed by the whole passage and then a devotional. And no ads popping up everywhere either!

Have a safe trip, Smilelee!

Did you make the deadline, Trissie?

I hope L.Ann is having a good time with her family.

Its just after 9pm amd I'm sitting down.with Matilda on my lap. The kitchen is clean and everyone has been fed.

Helia, hope you feel better.

Trissie, for 2025 I tried to read a chapter a day and while I wasn’t perfect, I did manage to get through the New Testament with the exception of Revelations. It does seem unattainable which is why I have never done it before now.

Wtg on your list Laura.

Smile, have a good time. Happy Thanksgiving!

Kittykatt, thanks for the start and hope your day is going well. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll check it out.

My scroll has ended so sending everyone beyond good thoughts and cheers.

I think I’m done for the day other than cook and get a shower. Dh will be home soon, he’s taking dd2 to get a new tire. She drove all the way home on a spare and never mentioned it. He happened to see it and asked about it. So he’s doing dad duty and getting it fixed. I’ll cook while they are gone. Then we can eat and dd is going out with a high school friend Joc.
