Walked ddoggo.
Now I'm in a much better mood double yea!

I can knit on the dish cloth that goes with this set.
Start the other hot pads for this set as well.

My book came yea!
----
Did two sessions on knitting dish cloth had to take a breath between ...
raked leaves to get the kinks out of my back
got the dish cloth done on the 2nd session yea!

Wrote in a journal I've been putting off that felt great too.
-----
Had a good dinner. HB patty canned pea & ham soup it was good. I had half of it.
It's a fav. I do not eat ham very often and do not cook pea soup these days. It was good.
[Took out the potatoes for ddoggo later.]
S2slippers happened.
Have been snuggling on the couch to rest my back this evening.
I can do the dishes in the a.m. I decided.

I've loaded the dishwasher and turned it on and then I did 99% of the pots/pans/utensils. There are 2 cookie trays. I'm going to ask dh to do those tomorrow when I go out.

We went to B King for lunch and ate in the truck. We usually go inside. When we went to Walmart dh stayed in the truck. We only needed cat litter and water. They didn't have any litter, but dh's soda was on sale for less than $4 for a 6 pack. Normally it's just over $5. I grabbed him 6 so that should hopefully last until after Christmas. We also got some government paperwork dropped off at their office.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Sooooooo I decided to make a better effort keeping up with our financial data. I sorta watch the deposits and withdraws happen individually but I haven't reconciled our checking account in a while. To be totally honest....it has been more than "a while". I believe that last time I reconciled was 2019. I use to always stay on top of our financial data before adopting a second grandchild.....and then covid happened which resulted in me homeschooling both of them. I have plenty of reasons why I haven't done it, but the fact remain that it has been ignored. ANYWAY, I downloaded the checking account data from the bank (eleven years worth!!) and spent some time looking through the transactions. If I could spend a couple hours on it and totally zone out, I am confident that it can be brought up-to-date. I just need some focus time. Maybe i will wake up early tomorrow before everyone else and get it done.

I brought DD14 home from school to eat a snack and then we will go to her Physical therapy appointment.

WTG on financial recordkeeping LadyM! I don't reconcile my own account anymore, but look at it online weekly to be sure I recognize everything. I do reconcile the HOA and cemetery accounts on a regular basis - sometimes the HOA more than once a month because it cuts down on the end of month burden, and the cemetery account I've settled on doing quarterly, but I check it online weekly as well.

I didn't do a lick of anti procrastination jobs today but did have a good day researching. Years ago I researched one of my great great great however many grand parents - he married 1810 in Knox co. The "surety" or bondsman for the wedding was all but illegible, the best I could do was "Markham Finster." Today I identified the guy: Markham Fristoe. He jumped out at me in another document as a possibility! Anyway, he was associated with my ancestor in the very first TN record so I wonder if they came from the same area originally?

Otherwise, I've not been productive. The guy that was coming over for drinks with dh had to cancel. I'm heating up barbeque pork and butternut squash now.

I was surprised how hard DD14 worked during physical therapy. She isn't usually eager to do that type of activity.

School and business closings are already being announced for tomorrow, with the possibility of 1-2 inches of snow on the way. It’s funny—if a tornado is coming, locals grab a lawn chair to watch it, but just an inch of snow sends everyone rushing to stay home.

DS17 is excited about his find tonight and agreement in trading his last purchased pickup for another one. OF COURSE HE IS. DS17 trading vehicles is as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning.

Well, every day is full of things that have been running around in my head for a few days.
One being the need to paint/stain patio and porch furniture. However, since it has turned so cold, I am eliminating that from my weekly to do list.
And today, I did not get any of the anti-procrastination stuff done -- I went to the chair yoga class at 10:00 a.m., came home and curled up on the couch, talked to dmom on the phone, talked myself out of going to a funeral visitation, napped, talked to DS, went to Bible study, and came back home. I did take dgrands to and from Bible study also, because ddil is still recovering from Covid and DS stayed home with her.

BUT... the night is young, y'all know.
I've been clearing out emails and looking for Christmas gift ideas, and I did a load of laundry. Right now I'm watching AU and NC State. (Harriet, forgive me, I can never remember which team y'all cheer for! The second half just started, and AU is 11 point ahead. Make that 8.)

Up at 3:15, Nancy??? Oh. My. Goodness. Well, actually, I was up at 3:15 too -- but I went to sleep shortly after and stayed snug under the covers till 9:00 a.m. Looks like you had a LOT accomplished by then!

I was certainly sleeping good at 5:10, blessed.

Twins, I do appreciate you getting us off to a good start, as you said, a positive thought to start the day.

Good for you, getting the tree up, Cathy! I did not know BK was headquartered in Canada. I always learn things when I am here! Dgrands usually ask for McD's but I am currently hooked on the S*nic Double Smasher with Bacon, on a Pretzel Bun. However, tonight I ate chicken nuggets at church supper.
I just downloaded a Kindle book on my phone, and I am trying to read a regular book -- the latest one of the Jan Karon Mitford series, and I still have quite a stack beside my bed that is part of my "to be read" stack. Plus a bunch of magazines that have piled up. I have got to find a way to regulate my phone time -- waaay too much Facebook and game time wasted there.

Our lead is now only 2 points, Harriet. DGS might try that Grinch meal. He has -- on at least one occasion -- eaten THREE Big Mac's. Not tonight though, he only ate a donut and some of my French fries at church. I certainly hope he is not coming down with Covid -- ddil tested him and he was negative, but he sat at the table beside one of the ladies in my class and I told them ddil was recovering. Now of course, I'm thinking all the ladies will come down with Covid and blame us. I think dgs was just tired, though. He had fallen asleep after school and DS had to wake him up when I got there to take them to church. But maybe he was tired because he's sick? I'll try not to overthink it. (These fries were from a local restaurant, Cathy, but I do love McD's fries. My absolute favorite fries are from Freddy's though.)

LadyM, I'll probably never be ahead of schedule in my life, but I would like to try the tickler folders also.
* Mystery * I don't understand the part about the pathway spreadsheet either. Maybe she'll explain it to us later.
I also need to put the NokBox folder together and get that organized.
And all my cards for today are still just lying there all in a row, undone.

Mystery -- that is a good thing for me to remember -- Exercise is more than you're doing right now.

Oh, (((LadyM))) -- you haven't reconciled the checkbook since 2019? Maybe you'll be lucky like me and find a mysterious $400 bonus!

I let ours go about 3 months once, couldn't make the statement and checkbook balance, and y'all can imagine -- Sheldon could barely stand it until I had it correct to the penny. I actually went to the bank and sat down with a sweet older lady in bookkeeping who went through the whole three months with me till we had it right. I don't know what he'd think about this ten months of extra in our favor. But now, the bookkeeping department is in the main bank about 40 miles away and I don't know any of the ladies who work there. I did call, you know, and a nice young lady went through the deposits with me, and we could not find anything. I check my math with a calculator as I go along, and I write all my transactions using the debit card just like I would if I were writing checks -- I just don't know how I could make an error that would cause the bank to be this much ahead of me!
I also look at the bank app pretty regularly to make sure I haven't forgotten something, Twins. This is just the strangest thing that has ever happened to me re: the checking account.

Same, LadyM, same here:
School and business closings are already being announced for tomorrow, with the possibility of 1-2 inches of snow on the way. It’s funny—if a tornado is coming, locals grab a lawn chair to watch it, but just an inch of snow sends everyone rushing to stay home.
Of course, first we all rush to the grocery store for bread and milk as if we're going to be snowed in for the rest of the season! (Not me though -- I rush to make sure I had plenty of diet coke and snacks!)
It's not predicted here yet -- it's just COLD. 28 tonight, then "up" in the 30s until Monday, when we're back to 25. There is a 50% chance of rain tomorrow, but it should be above freezing all day and night by then.
I turned my heat up to 73, but I still feel kinda cold in the house.

We're back to 9 points ahead, Harriet. Almost 6 minutes to go, so this could go either way.

Oh -- I forgot to tell y'all about my little panic attack today.
Friend from teacher group, whom I've known for a long time, but I'd say casually, asked me if we still had our condo at College Town. I said yes, of course.
Well, turns out she has a grandchild down there and is looking for a place to stay so she can visit him. Hotels are quite expensive and book up quickly for major events like graduation, etc. She wondered if we ever rented it out or anything...
I just kinda let that pass, saying dbil and dsisil are down there almost every weekend during football season.
The thing is, this has come up before with a different set of friends, and dbil was quite adamant that we are NOT running a bed and breakfast and NO we are not renting it out. Which I really do agree with -- the logistics of giving out a key and parking pass and hoping people clean up, etc... I don't really want people down there without us, either.
Then, because I can't stop talking, I guess, I mentioned that I have not gone down there since dh passed away, and probably won't until DGS gets his driver's permit.
SHE said, "Well, I'll tell you what. (Her dh) is a big fan of the Other Team in our state, and he doesn't even like to go down there, so sometime when you want to go, just call me and WE will go down there and I'll tell (her dgrands) that I'm just coming down and rooming with you and I'll take him out to eat."
Sigh. Like I told dmom, y'all KNOW what THAT did to me. The very idea of driving down and spending a weekend with someone who is not dh or DS/ddil... AUUGUGHH.

Of course, DS told me, "Well, you'll probably never hear another word about it, and if you're supposed to call her when YOU want to go, you just won't call her." LOL.

I'm not really in a panic tonight, but I do hate that I react to things like this. I told dmom, I really do need to go to counseling.

I wonder if it would be harder to go one-on-one with a casual friend to College Town, or to go on a bus trip with a bunch of people from my hometown to see the Biltmore.
The Biltmore and Williamsburg are two things that are on my bucket list, that dh never made happen.
Tomorrow is another day.
