Re: Singing Hinny Saturday
Doggedly, I'm going to bet that she will return to eating that food after a week or so of break from it. she will forget that it was on sale and she will remember sheliked it.
smiles, I like whiteout blizzards, but only if I can stay inside and watch them. That's good bread baking weather.
I think I am going on 4 hours of sleep. Back from getting 2 boxes mail, and church advent brunch. Good food, good program, good fellowship. It's still cold. I'm going ot take of my dressy clothes, put on blue jeans, get some clothes into the washer, and maybe / hopefully take nap for a couple hours, before I go do more wrapping! And I have 2 dw to unload and my K to tidy so I can bake.

Dogged - Germane is not going to make it easy for you...
laurlind 3 yrs seems to be the age for large dogs to mature... I still have time:), however, mine has improved a lot in the past 6 months.
SmileLee shoveling is tough exercise!
FFly always nice to see you! hope headache is gone.
Breadbaking weather... great phrase, Gma
Quick stop at home - then:
pup out for (store) walk (way too windy outside)
pu random groceries
and then
WRAP!

Re: Singing Hinny Saturday
trissie, our last day of school is Tuesday, Dec. 23. Since I have a MWF class, I don't need to show up that day so my last day is Dec. 22nd. Though, I'll need to grade the exam and get all the grades updated by Dec. 23.
Enjoy the game, Smile! --I like that comment about Christmas. Over the years, I've just put less on my lists. If it's not perfect, that's OK. I'm not perfect either - and neither is anyone else.
Hi Peaches!
I hope you get a good long nap, Gma.
Lauralind, I'm ordering the majority of my gifts.
Stay warm outside on your walk, kitkat.
Wow FFB! It's amazing that you live close to such a beautiful place to walk!! Enjoy your family evening.
Duck and pea sounds rather posh, Doggedly, but I guess Germane doesn't think so.
I'm having trouble being motivated, even though I have a lot to do. But I have gotten several things done. Notice my work out did not get done.
I'm rolling my eyes at myself.
Main Goals for Today:
- laundry
- cardio work out
- documents in the mail to the trustee
- figure out book for Ks; order
- figure out dd30's big gift; order
- label 2 gifts for the church charity - no need to wrap them
- buy 3 rotisserie chickens - WF? Or Kroger?
- 6-8ish CG1; I'll leave early with dh who will need to finalize packing; these trips to Mexico are a little like glamorized camping + a lot of very sensitive high-tech equipment
- maybe: buy new long down coat; I've had my current one for 10 or more years now.
- maybe: order more Cmas gifts
Next:
- CG1
- talk to dh re: gifts
- order dh's gift?
TaDas!
- up; weighed self - down from yesterday's astounding number but still very high
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website; temps are at 24F and are falling all day to 3F. Windchill will be -12F at the coldest point.
- some qt
- back exercises
- start a lol
- reclaimed kitchen
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped shower
- made the bed
- cleared off cedar chest with dh
- lol: dried
- ordered gift for ds; 1 more shoe gift
- steamed jeans
- part of lunch
- list for Kroger
- mail place: DCs + letter in mail to trustee
- Kroger
- put 3 chickens in oven to stay warm
- put away the rest of the food
- communications with etsy crafter re: ds' gift - not available in one fabric so I switched.
- laundry folded and put away

Re: Singing Hinny Saturday
I going to say "honours even" on the training front. I walked into the kitchen with a third brand of dog food in my hand, a tetrapak of Go! Ltd Ingredients turkey, to find that Germane's plate was licked clean and she was looking at me expectantly for more. I was able to get her Benedryl into her, and she is now consistently eating her Performatrin Ultra Ltd Ingredient Duck And Pea, and I have stopped sneaking the vet food on the same plate. For now. My winning strategy was to pretend not to notice that her food hadn't been eaten. Was on the verge of capitulating when I won. This round. And was my deprived dog driven to eat yucky substandard food to avoid starvation? No, her kibble dish is still full. We are fighting out the canned food brands.
I'm supposed to be out running errands, but I am waiting to see if my guts will respond to pills. So much for bragging how much better my digestion is now that I have retired, LOL.
The pictures are beautiful, and the walk sounds perfect, FrenchFly. Wind down, less people, just perfect.
I am glad that the headache and soreness have improved.
Oh, no, Smile*Lee! We didn't need a head start on The GenZ Stare, LOL.
Oh, I can't believe that I wrote this out and never posted it. Today is not my day.
We are having a warmer, snowy day here Gma. I was hoping to go out and do my errands in the warmer weather, but ended up having to stay close to the bathroom. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold again. Maybe Monday...
I hope that Germane will eat more normally soon.
No, kitkat, Germane loves to give a challenge. She keeps coming and asking for treats, but has not eaten her last lot at last check. I made the mistake of sneaking in the rejected vet food with the Performatrin.
Hi, Peaches
They really are posh foods that my little princess is turning her nose up at, helia.
I hope that you can rest this evening, L.Ann, as tomorrow looks like another busy day.
The day has gotten away from me. Maybe just write it off and do the basics.

Re: Singing Hinny Saturday
Heidi Ho, everybody!
It snowed some more while we were in the game. We lost... booo. Thought we were going to go into overtime, and the other team made a basket almost at the buzzer. Better luck next time. Stopped at a fave Mexican restaurant afterwards. They make the best chili poblanos.
Got a message from the church. One service only tomorrow - the later one. Not sure if I'm going to get out, but I'll leave that decision till morning. Li'l H's horse riding lesson and violin recital are canceled for tomorrow. We're in the median of snow wimpiness - not as wimpy as the south, but wimpier than the "north" north.
My "fancy" knee boots have bit the dust. Gosh.. I think they were about 15 years old. The upper parted from the sole. I don't want to give them up. Maybe I can get them fixed. In the meantime, I do need some boots.
My pjs are calling my name...

Re: Singing Hinny Saturday
Ok maybe fresh air helped. I mixed up the bun dough. Sat for a bit and then when it was ready to punch down I took Casper for a snow walk. Now I'm baking 5 dozen buns and then I have doubled recipe of ginger snaps. I'm going to sit for a bit and do truffles too. That one is so good and unbaked. If I can get it mixed I can probably form those in the morning. Then I probably have time after work to do the Danish butter cookies. Actually we'll see... truffles would be easier to do after work or even mix it in the morning one day.
Unfortunately ds has been pretty much out of it all day. I made chicken soup for lunch. He ate some of that and a mid afternoon soak. I had to tell dad I wasn't going to bring him stuff cause I didn't want to bring him that bug. He agreed. I do not want either one of them to get this thing... nor do I want to. After tomorrow is done with... well fine if I'm gonna get sick work will survive without me. I'd rather not tho.
I didn't play much for music either but a shame the noise while he's resting. We have group practice tomorrow after church... it will be fine like that.
Doggedly germane is a crazy one...
I'm not being super social atm I guess. Next up figure out something for supper... switch the buns in a bit and take something out.

wtg, laurelind! I bet your house smells amazing! Prayers for ds that he recovers quickly - and that no one else gets it. What a bummer so close to Christmas. Hopefully, he'll be feel great by then. I'm sure the practice will do it up right.
