Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! I see that Christmas prep is well under way. I feel confident about my Christmas prep. The apartment looks chaotic as usual, but happily for all concerned, Christmas gatherings are not taking place in my home, LOL.

Germane is picky with her food again, but seems to be enjoying her vegetables more than anything. So I think I might cook some winter vegetables to have ready to give her tomorrow for Christmas.

And then she ate her next helping like a normal dog. I can't get bored with her; I have a new dog every ten minutes, LOL.

Wednesday
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for Germane
Cleaned glasses
Put on a pot of coffee
Put away dry dishes
Changed kitchen cloths
Sorted dirty laundry
Put on a pot of coffee
Registered for Messiah Complex
Activated the credit card that I finally found: Updated information with call centre agent, changed pin and activated card.
Cut up old card

She's keeping you guessing, Doggedly. The C's puppy Raven is picky about her food too - a bernedoodle, also a small dog. Is that a small dog thing? Fable, on the other hand is a Labrador retriever and, typical for her breed, is not picky at all.
Gma, how did that errand go?
Good for you, L Ann, getting in your walking.
FFB, I still need to cook leeks sometime! Is the brioche to be eaten tonight? Or is it for breakfast? Seafood paella is our current Christmas dinner tradition. It's the only time dh makes it. Dh bought a huge pan for it. It is so big that he had to bang in one side of the pan, just a little bit, so it would fit in our oven.
Hi Peaches!
Oh hi lucylee! Merry Christmas!

The planning meeting was 2 hours, but I think we have some fun "surprises" to make. There was a lot of laughter planning them all!

The girls have invited RH to their home tonight for dinner, so we won't need to entertain him. That was very cleverly kind of them. So, we don't need to cook a big meal or host people tonight after all. We already did that this morning and will do it again tomorrow morning (just 5 people) and tomorrow night (also just 5 as the Cs will be traveling).

I've gotten many things done but still have many more to do. However, I'm feeling tired and tempted to just do something fun instead of pushing for being productive. I might do that.

Next:
- reclaim kitchen - so it can get messy again as dh and dd27 make crepes
- back exercises
- s2s and self care

Later:
- some qt: I'll need some quiet after that breakfast meeting :D
- payroll: curriculum review
- wrap presents
- gym with dd30?
- Memorial thank you cards progress
- dinner: tamales, rice, veggie of some sort TBD
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- 8:30 shoes - night #1
- 9-10 keep CG in prayer
- untangle the skein
- maybe, go back to the yarn store to ask them to spin the 2nd skein

TaDas!
- up; weighed self :o
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website - high of 38F
- reclaim kitchen - so it can get messy again as dh and dd27 make crepes
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- made the bed
- 9:30 - 11:30 SK planning meeting 8 people (dh and dd27 made crepes)
- payroll: end of session tasks done - except for curriculum review
- kitchen clean up again; dw running
- lunch (I didn't eat the crepes at the meeting)
- dw unloaded
- found a recipe for GF gingerbread men to try
- made a grocery list
- WF
- put everything away; put fresh clams and mussels in bowl with damp cloth covering it

Hi, Peaches!

Merry Christmas to you too, lucy lee!

helia, I would expect a Bernese Mountain Dog/poodle cross to be huge, LOL. But I think that you are right. I never had these issues with my big dogs. But part of this is Germane's age. I suspect that her appetite is not what it was.
Maybe the quieter Christmas Eve can free up some time for you for a break?

I've been washing dishes. Progress!

Hello everyone!

Just a very quick CI, as it's late and I think I've got finally everything done that I need to do for Christmas. I've also , I think, fixed the bit of trim on the washing machine with gorilla glue, and weighted it with a kg weight from my scales to keep everything in place while it hardens. Why couldn't DH have done this ?? It took less than 5 minutes to actually glue, although the drying time is, of course, several hours.)The end part of my garden was far, far worse than I thought, and took nearly 3 hours of hard work to put right. :x But, at least it's looking like my garden again rather than a war zone. I'm going to confess I had a meltdown when I saw the destruction and devastationI might go to the garden centre next week to buy some more plants to replace those that were trampled beyond hope or pulled up and just left. :( And possibly a couple of pots of bulbs in flower to give some colour.

Our Christmas Eve supper was baked ham, mashed potato, parsley sauce, carrots, broad beans and red cabbage.

DH is at church, I needed to stay home to finish everything, as I hadn't expected the garden to take so long. I'm hoping I'll feel more Christmassy tomorrow!
