trissie, that ramoska looks very practical. And the stew in the demonstration on their site looks delicious! However, I think that they are overstating things in their advertising when they imply that family drama will evaporate while you cook with a ramoska, LOL.
That is some excellent strategic planning. ;)

Oh, the joys of being an essential worker, L.Ann. Is your DD's employer a 24-hour emergency vet?

Maintenance has come and gone, and my bathtub is back to being like it was before: it drains slowly, but does drain. Apparently, this happens all over the building every winter. It was my favourite Maintenance guy, R., who I think is the super now. So I hung out with him and we had a nice chat.

I'm glad that Sinter Klaas went so well, helia. Safe trip to visit your dfamily!

Hi, Harriet. WTG on spiffing your front and entrance.

Stay safe out there, kitkat! We just have clouds here, but I can see in Ventusky there is snow all around us, so it's coming! There's just a little hole in the clouds that follows the Outaouais River, which is why we often get off light.

Lauralind, I am so glad to hear how well your dmother is doing in the nursing home. It must be a relief to all, and a reassurance that it was the right thing to do.
I'm sorry to hear about you and dh slipping down the stairs. It's so hard to keep them safe in winter weather. They tend to be very liberal with the ice salt and gravel where I live (good for me; hard on the dogs) and there are days when you can see it under the puddle and layer of ice, LOL. We try, we try.

L.Ann, that was a busy morning! I hope that DD33's bloodwork went well.

I am caught up on CUOP again, so it's time to stand up. :)

Ah, it has begun. There is something white coming down at a 45 degree angle much faster than snow comes down, and the tall skinny evergreen trees are staggering around like this is not what they signed up for.

Hello everyone!

FFB, I hope work was at least bearable today. Iirc, it's a short working week for you?

Trissie, I'm glad the remoska is working properly. I dont have one (yet!), but Lakeland stock them, and they look both useful and economical.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time with little I, Helia!

Dogged, WTG getting the bath unclogged!

Harriet, I've often wondered if it's possible to make one's own planner, using a ring binder and various inserts to make it truly personalised? Ive seen ring binders in A5 size, so it wouldn't be too big, but maybe it would be a lot of work?

Stay safe with the ice, KitKat!

Laura, your poor DH - that sounds painful! I hope he starts to feel better soon.

L.Ann WTG on getting errands done. I hope DD's blood work went smoothly.

DH had a wonderful day on the trains, and I had a productive day doing some admin and cleaning upstairs. It was cold but dry, so I had a walk and a little time in my garden. (Not much to do out there, but I can plan!)

Tomorrow I want to take down some more Christmas stuff when I clean the sitting room, and the wreath on the front door if it's dry. I forgot to do it today, and now the door's locked with the curtain across and the draft excluder in place, so I don't feel up to doing it tonight!

I'm not sure if I have posted today or not. +5 F, 6-7 inches of snow during our 14 hour blizzard. 10 pounds of warm clothes and boots. Hooray that the snowblower started! And the snow was easier to remove than I expected, but still leaves me tired. Several errands done, now back home to have some vegetable soup for supper. Taht was a wonderufl pot I did a while back! So easy to heat up for a meal.
Then it will be time to start sorting again. I'll see how much my brain wants to do this evening.

Soups are great in the winter, aren't they, Gma? I think of you as my inspiration when I want to complain about our snow/ice...

LAnn - your Lil Bit is very lucky to have you!

Dogged plumbing is the worst to deal with! - along with our winter... (The blowing snow came without a warning!)

kittykatt how are the felines?

trissie when is the cottage trip?

Tossed in some laundry
DGD came over after.

Dinner for dpup who is dozing on her bed.
pa piles upstairs.

Dinner
clean machine

Yes, we'll keep the snow and ice up here, L.Ann, since we've already invested in the snow clearing equipment, LOL.

Thanks, Kittykatt. I'm glad that your DH had fun, and that you had a good day. I think that the locked door with the curtain across it and the draft excluder across it is saying that you have earned a break. Maybe a sit down with a feline lap-warmer?

Good job clearing that snow, Gma. You must be tired!

Dog friendly stores are a life saver in bad weather, kitkat. Germane used to enjoy Canadian Tire in particular. I don't bring her anymore, as she would dislike the car ride more than she would enjoy the outing.
