helia, safe travels is the most important. I see you have an unplanned Saturday ! Until then, enjoy the time with your DS and family !

kitkat, the table tennis session was for the three of us. The table is outside near a theatre / music school / entertainment center, it's free to use when the premises are closed, so we bought a pair or rackets and a few balls and we regularly spend time there. Have a good time at the gym !

We're back home after table tennis. MrNG is back too. I had some quiet time because I allowed the kids to play Mario Kart on the console.

TADAs
quiet time : did a FACE session and some stuff for me
3.30-4.30 table tennis, 5-mn-walk away
4.30 afternoon snacks
5-7pm screens (meaning TV or tablet or the console)

TODOs
prep dinner
not sure what else among the many "want to do before 2025 is over"
dinner, read with kids, bed early (payroll tomorrow)

Thanks for starting us off, and the info about Thyme. I wonder if it is a plant that would grow in a pot on a window sill?
My ds puts fresh thyme (available at out food co-op) inside the turkey when he roasts it, along with lemon slices and ??? other things that make it taste really good.
Lat night I got another 22 quart wastebasket filled with papers, also many filed appropriately, some correspondence done, AND found receipts to send in to Menards for $48 in rebate money! 7 envelopes in the mail today, and 4 surfaces cleared. I am making progress!

Yesterday was very cold here. We had an event in the sky known as parhelion, a triple sun dog. https://www.google.com/search?q=parheli ... e&ie=UTF-8 which shows up on very cold days. Do you ladies in Canada ever see them? Or is it a midwest cold winter prairie event?

Today started with committee meeting at church to pick out hymns in planning for Lent. Now I have several phone calls to make, a DW to unload, and more filing to do.
I haven't even started to tackle the K or DR tables. But little by little it is improving. The top of my piano is clear, and I am thinking about what to put on it for winter decorations.
Mother had 2, 18 inch caroling dolls - I could put one on each end of the piano, and a few angels in between, although Epiphany is coming soon, the official end of the 12 days of Christmas, so maybe I should find something else that can stay there longer.
When I was cleaning the bathroom, I found the long hardanger runner I made for the piano a few years ago, so I should put that out on display. And I have some winter figures that reflect my Scandinavian heritage that could be up for more of the winter. Hmmm, I think could find a small herd of Dala horses between my house and mother's. With Danish Iron candle holders, and some Orrefors crystal snow balls. That sounds like a fun hunt for me, resulting in a nice decor. Telling myself, see I can do this!

Good afternoon, all. I'm not kidding myself that I'm going to make it within the confines of morning, LOL.

Thank you for the fragrant start, Kittykatt. I'm surprised that your DH is not more bothered by the loss of his phone.

Ah, you are way ahead of me, FrenchFly. I think that we have reached the point in winter where I will have to break out my radiant heater, as the apartment is too cold for my taste.
Are you enjoying getting past the stage where children wake up at 6:00 am every day? I'll take slept late, dishevelled and groggy, LOL.

I'm glad that you arrived safely, helia. Frankly, I'm impressed that they were able to fly at all.

Hi, kitkat. Does this mean that the snow did not reach your house?

WTG on getting all of the paperwork done, Gma. Outstanding!
I have never seen a sun dog, probably because I am never outside, LOL.

Tuesday
Put on a pot of coffee
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for Germane.
Spiffed self
Put away dry dishes
Put on a pot of rice
Boiled eggs
Cleaned glasses

I think I skipped laundry two weeks in a row. Unfortunately, I can't do two loads of my own, as Germane was sick on her fleece throw that she has been using as her bathroom bed, so one load has to be the fleeces.

LOL @ the idea of people playing table tennis my parking lot, kitkat.

I have started the laundry.
Tuesday
Put on a pot of coffee
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for Germane.
Spiffed self
Put away dry dishes
Put on a pot of rice
Boiled eggs
Cleaned glasses
Gathered dirty laundry
Set up new fleece bed with electric heating pad inserted in it for Germane. Germane, naturally, did not set foot back in the bathroom, preferring to beg for food that she could reject.
Started two loads of laundry. Yay! Got to do it on my own floor.

Ha! I just peeked in, and Germane is curled on the heating pad and snoring happily. Life as it should be.

Hello everyone!

FFB, do you think either of your DS's will pursue a musical career? :D Good news your blood test was normal.

I'm glad you arrived safely, Helia - I'm sure you'll enjoy your snuggles with Baby I!

WTG getting the floor washed, KitKat!

L.Ann,.I'm putting away Christmas things as uwell - it's been dry,.so I wanted to get everything outside out away before we get any rain.

Dogged, why am I not surprised that Germane initially rejected her new heated bed with every comfort? Its similar here. I woke up last night with Jude curled up on one side of the pillow and Matilda on the other! :D Bit very good news that she's now using it!

Gma, thank you for your card - it arrived today - and especially for the insert all about your DMum - she was a truly amazing woman! Those sun dogs looked spectacular - Ibe never seen anything like it IRL! I think Cornwall has events that are called "sun dogs", but I think they are probably a different weather phenomenon, as Cornwall is usually mild and wet!!!!

Big news today -DH has his phone back safely! :D He had left it on the bus, and either someone handed it in, or the cleaner found it. He is very pleased, and I am very thankful.

Ive also been out in my garden today, and went for a walk. Ive cleaned downstairs and taken down and packed away the Christmas decorations, except for the card holders, which I'll do tomorrow.
