Satisfying Saturday PWYC
What makes your Saturday a satisfying day? Is it jumping into the new year, or slipping one foot quietly in for a toe-hold? Is it spending today focused on tasks and new year energy, or is it sitting back, enjoying the quiet a little longer? Time with family and friends or some solitude? It's all there for the taking, make you day satisfying!

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Twins', here's hoping you find satisfying parts of your day! I took satisfaction in so much sweeping with the straw broom yesterday. Somewhat like mowing, moving from section to section of the walls, etc. Nice outside for that brief space of time before the temperatures dropped again.
Hoping to find satisfying tasks today, too. The various paper planning has been satisfying. For some reason, I can't START writing in the spiral notebook and I think it's because this one is pretty!
I have post-its of things I plan to write. This is a glitch in the brain, for sure! Need to "just begin" as Dee would counsel.
Oh, blessed, ordering flower seeds, what fun. I was thinking yesterday that January is THE month for a lot of indoor starts. I used to never let the month pass without starting impatiens, at least. But nope, nope, wouldn't be prudent at this time!
I have slowly entered the sewing room again, glancing around, lol. Assuming there won't be another jarring clatter of project boxes - that was really an eye-opener!
blessed, "so much in the house" - yep, yep. Couldn't help but watch the next YT of decluttering a craft room/sewing room - it's like I can't look away! The first day was only trash, yesterday was only things that don't belong. Sounds so simple, doesn't it? There was discussion of WHY things that don't belong end up being put in our creative spaces. Mainly, the front parts of the house take their priority and those things that defy category end up being put into the creative space. Interestingly, luggage was a frequent culprit mentioned.

It was so satisfying to go into the butterfly room and see the desk all cleaned off and ready to revive
my writing projects note books journals planners etc. as I finish them today and get them in one area today.
Slept in till 6:30 after being up past 11:00 last night too. Getting my sleep clock reset is helpful.
It gets off for most of us from time to time.
So I'm not undercoating until after the 7th.
We still have one family gathering left to do.
I found answering the prompts in my writers journal today very satisfying this morning.
Also whipped cream on my coffee.
I put the thoughts on the page for ideas going forward next week with the 1st full week of the new year.
Getting a re-set on that too. A little bit at a time is helpful.
I have two projects to use smaller booklet types of journals to pick from three and start on as needed.
One for dreams / the other goals.
[ I hoped to do this on NYE but was too distracted by the fireworks noise.]

Been working hard since I got up
Fed, dressed and got Sweetie for the day. He peed on the rug by the commode last night so I have a load of laundry going right now. Yesterday he pooped in his pants. Not fun.
Got the bathroom all straightened out and everything is pushed put away all my morning routines are done. All the footprints are gone. Worked in my laundry room and straightened out a small closet I have in there.
Folded one load of laundry and about to do another. I have all my sliding glass doors and many of my windows open because it’s a beautiful day. I have the fans going to bring in that nice cool air in the house.
Went to the doctors yesterday for a check up. My blood pressure was really wonky. No surprise there considering the morning I had with Sweetie. Now I need to chart it daily. Weight was up but wasn’t surprised. Stress eating and lack of exercise contributed that

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Hi!
I had to do a really fast tidying up job. Dh called our neighbours and invited them over. We have a small gift here for them. Yikes!!
Thankfully the house was 95% okay. I just had to sweep and mop and put all the dishes into the dishwasher. Only one frying pan in the sink with soapy water in it. Island is almost clear and table is clear and counters are all clear!! I also sprayed some "Pet companion" spray from G lade.
Now I'm just sitting here waiting for them to show up.
Later... now they have been and gone. House smells good and the kitchen is shiny.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
My trigeminal neuralgia is flaring up. For those that don't remember, it's pain on the left side of my face and mouth. I had some sharp pain on New Years Day, and again today. I'm holding off on eating my fruit for breakfast, because it's cold. I just took some of the "breakthrough pain" meds.
While I can go ahead and do HOA invoices, I'm spending a little time cleaning up the names and addresses. They were originally all entered in all caps - this was from when developer set it up and prior treasurer had continued. Some are all caps, some not, so I'm standardizing until I can't stand it with initial caps. It's a little thing I always think I "should" do but don't take the time.
Dh went to Torah study and then to Costco.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Good afternoon! I’ve had a pretty satisfying morning+. DH and I went over the calendar and filled in everything we know about for the year. Then I put stickers on.
I use the More Time Moms calendar that FlyLady used to recommend before she started putting out a calendar of her own. I could use a More Time Old People calendar with more stickers for doctors’ appointments! After that, DH and I played a game, and now I’m having some lunch.
Oh, Twins, I’m sorry you’re having pain! I’ve heard trigeminal neuralgia is nasty.
blessed reminds me that I want to grow flowers this year. I’ll have to talk with DH about putting flower boxes on the upstairs porch railing — out of reach of the deer!
Harriet, will you be able to handle dirt by the time you would pick up impatiens at the nursery and plant them outdoors?
Your work on your journals just sounds satisfying, Nancy! It makes me want to set up some for myself, except I’m horrible with the follow-through.
Enjoy your beautiful weather, Rose!
Cathy, I envy the ease with which you got ready for someone to drop by!
I did get my cards revised yesterday, and it took much of the day, as I expected, crunching the numbers as to when I should do things and how much time I should spend on them, and deciding whether there were things I needed to add to or subtract from my routine. I do still have laundry set up for right after SHE time, so that’s next. After that, I’ll head into the playroom. DH thinks he’s got things rearranged such that I can pull out that treadmill and check it out.
I hope everyone does have a satisfying day!
