Doggedly, where did all the onions come from? I missed that. I have never seen that movie either.

Helia, is there anything you can do regarding the trust, with the trustee not being responsive? Does the trustee think their job was done when your mother died? You want to make sure that trustee isn't absconding with assets! If it's a living trust, do things change when she has died? I know almost nothing about trusts, so offer no answers.
Bama, I have a radio that turns off automatically. I can set it to the classical music station. But if the noise awakens you multiple x during the night, there are some people who move to a different bedroom. The snorer should be evaluated for sleep apnea.

After church, I (obsessively?) dealt with the snow that fell yesterday. all of about 3/4 inch. Just enough that if it melted and refroze, it would be really slick ice. By the time I got done with mother's driveway, the sunshine had melted the front, south facing, sidewalk, so I didn't have to do that. Yhe house is on a corner, and the driveway gets the sun from the east, in the morning when the temps are at their lowest. There's a tenant at mother's basement, who is learning about winter in our climate, so I try to make things as safe as possible for her.
DW is unloaded, dirty dishes in it, but not enough to run it through. A few things to wash by hand, then counters to wash.
Then get back to working in the office. Run the DW at bedtime.

Hi, Gma! The onions came from my poor life choices. The 10-lb bag was almost the same price as the 2 or 3 lb bag, and my love of a bargain took over. I buy 10 lbs of potatoes at a time, so I didn't think I'd have any issues storing the onions. I have the Tupperware potato and onion bins. It was only when I was pouring the onions into the bin that I realized that it only holds 5 lbs, LOL. That started the strategizing on how to store the extra 5 lbs of onions in a one-room apartment, and how to use them up.

That was nice of the sun to help out with the shovelling.

I have filled the small slow cooker. I have some ground beef thawed that I didn't eat because I have the Costco chicken, some grape tomatoes that are getting old, and added all of the onions that would fit, seasoned some tomato sauce, and I'll have pasta sauce tomorrow.

Enjoy the movie! Cary Elwes was on tour late last year in my area, you could buy tickets to watch The Princess Bride and then he would come on stage and talk to the audience for an hour or so.

Gma, I’m glad the sun came out and made your job easier. Can the tenant help with the areas she uses or is that in an agreement that it will be taken care of?
The sleep info is for some trips with dh and having to share a room, he’s on a bipap and refuses to side sleep so is very loud and totally off rhythm. I’ve ordered some earplugs to try. Might need something to help me sleep. Need to research sleep aids and what I can take on a flight. Or is it simpler to buy once I get there.

Still got the movie playing in the background, cooking lima beans and ham, they’re almost done, backfilled planner for last week, might make some cornbread or fry some on the stove for a quicker similar thing (corn pone or whatever it’s called) to go with the meal.

Evening ci. I think this is it for me. I really jut managed the meetings, etc. that were on my schedule and not much more. It was nice to see people. I'm glad I don't have payroll tomorrow.

Gma, nice for sun to help you. I believe my parents' wills stipulate that the trust continue for the benefit of dbro and me after they both pass away. On Friday, I reached out to the lawyer who is working with the trustee to see if they'd heard back from her. They were trying to get ahold of her in November; I think the lawyer would be a check that the trustee doesn't abscond with funds? They've been working "together" since my father passed away May 2022. I've had phone conversations with the trustee; I think she's more or less honest. I did get a short email from her in December. Hard to know for sure if she's honest, but we've had a good working relationship so far, of course.
The Princess Bride is a classic, Bama.

doggedly, I certainly understand the logic of the great deal on the onions.
bama, The tenant is responsible for the sidewalk she uses. Mom's driveway is huge. We have someone who takes care of it when there is 4 inches or more of snow. But I want the driveway clear, clean, as much as possible. I don't mind removing a little snow - it's good exercise, and gets me outside. I'm not eager just to go for a walk. I like to see evidence of my work.
Helia, I hope you get a response soon.
FFB, That was a 1 time check on my time management during about 8 years. It was concrete evidence that I really didn't have enough time at my house to do the things I knew should be done, or wanted to do. And now seeing how long it takes to actually do the decluttering and cleaning, I appreciated seeing the history. No wonder I had frustrations! If my memory serves me correctly, the one time I was there for an extended period of time (4 hours) I was exhausted and ended taking a nap instead of working on a project.

Now I am in my office after a couple nice long conversations with friends, and back to sorting. This time it is greeting cards that were scattered, and are being divided into categories such as birthday, get well, etc.

That must be stressful, helia, to have the trust up in the air and not be sure if you can trust the trustee. I hope that the lawyer gets it sorted out soon.

I certainly understand your wanting to get the driveway cleared down to pavement, Gma. In my area, main roads and bus routes are kept down to pavement, but side streets are only ploughed if more than 2 inches falls. The problem is that with Ottawa's pattern of thaw and freeze, the ruts caused by cars freeze in place and get more exaggerated as the winter wears on. I would be afraid to wait for 4 inches!

I am going to try to sneak to the garbage chute and then load the cart and bring the boxes down to recycling. Germane isn't actually asleep, so I might end up doing it one-handed with a little dog under one arm.

Turned on the projector and looked up information on things that it can do.
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a few basinsful of dishes
Cleaned up after dog
Gave dog the last two carrot slices in her plate, along with the food that she has been ignoring since this morning.
Saw the plate being licked under the bathroom door at me. Hint? Woo hoo! She’s eating!
Gave dog her Benedryl and some more food.
Found Benedryl on the floor.

Put a tiny piece of cheese on top of the glob with the pill in it: she extracted the tiny piece of cheese with accuracy astonishing in a dog who is almost blind and missing half of her teeth.

Worked on course

I feel satisfied that I have touched on the goals that I wanted to today. Even if I don't have finished projects, it's all progress, and it's only progress if I work on it.
