Re: Sunflower Sunday
Good evening. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was nice. Dh had appointments he went to solo Friday. Saturday was errands and we ate out for the first time in a very long time. We both ordered a ribeye and it was delicious. After a very warm week the meteorologists were predicting snow for this morning, what a preposterous thought when I have been in shorts and tshirts all week. Lo and behold, we got a light frosting of snow!!! Not enough to really stick, except around the foot of trees and bushes where it was shady, but what a nice surprise. We rarely see snow here and never two years in a row. What’s funny is it hit in the Deep South but my girls who live 4 hours north of me didn’t get anything. Crazy weather. We just stayed home and chilled today. Now to mentally prepare for a cleaning and decluttering week. See you tomorrow.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Re: Sunflower Sunday
Hello, my friends! I have only found my energy at this hour, so not sure how much I will accomplish today. That's fine, I am retired so tomorrow is another day off!
Sorry to those still going to payroll. I have waited my whole life for this, and boy, am I enjoying it.
Today I had my shower and got my hair washed, and then went back to bed with a migraine. I woke up after a few hours with the headache under control, but couldn't keep my eyes open, so listened to the radio and fell back to sleep. Now I'm up and willing to be vertical, so let the games begin.
I see that we are at a healthy four pages, so it appears that the board is behaving itself today.
Gma, I am glad that you are not the target of what's been done to Minnesota. Frankly, I have cheered every time you mention how cold the weather is, hoping that it will slow ICE down. I am happy to share a polar vortex with you if it keeps people safe.
Bama, I'm glad that you got some snow. I think that you were hoping for some, as a change.
If I don't see you before you head to bed, have a good night, helia.
L.Ann, did you have an event-free day? I don't think that I've seen that in your lists before. Of course, you have compensated with a very long list of Accomplishments. As does Kittykatt!
Hi, Peaches.
Thank you for the cheers for the projector, Kittykatt. Hopefully I will join in with you earlier tomorrow.
Sunday
Discarded dog’s rejected food
Offered new plate with new serving of food
Cleaned up after dog
Worked on budgeting
Showered/washed hair
Went to bed with a headache
Put on a pot of rice
Put on a pot of coffee

Re: Sunflower Sunday
I don't know if the cold slows down ICE. There are signs proclaiming ICE OUT (which is normally Minnesotan for, the ice is gone from the lake and spring has arrived). I am 80 miles from Minneapolis. One newspaper reported that there was a pro-ICE rally, and 12 people showed up. The group of counter protesters numbered 300. I think I got that straight. Our governor keeps telling people who want to protest (either way) that they do have a constitutional right to do so, but he emphasizes, please keep it peaceful and do not interfere. This is not a political board, but I have been getting calls from friends all over the country asking me what is going on, so I'm just sharing what I know for those interested. And the fraud has been reported here in newspapers for at least 10 months, investigations started long before that, and people are in jail, plus fines and restitution required. The ring leader was a white woman, citizen. Her team was a group of naturalized citizens. (I could say a whole lot more, but I will refrain from political opinion. )
I have cleaned my kitchen, loaded my DW. It is on the dry cycle.
Next up (at 1045 pm - Is that a good idea?) is to empty the refrigerator and clean it. I think I can do that in 2 hours.
So I'll keep you company, doggedly. I hope the migraine stays away. When I used to get them, I felt like a limp dishrag for a day afterwards.

I'm glad to have the company, Gma. I'm glad to know that you are safe. And if it is any consolation, we outside the country know that they do not represent the opinion of all Americans.
I am sailing along here. I found my TV's rabbit ears, another step in my quest to get off of expensive internet and TV. And I found another box of pee pads in the basement and brought it up so that I can order replacements without the stress of running out.

Thanks, Doggedly! Good job, Isn't it great to find something that is needed? What does Germane think of your activites? Is she cheering you on? Disinterested? Or wishing that you would take tome to play with her?
1 hour has gone by - how fast time flies when we're having fun! I have the bottom shelf left. And no, I'm not going to do anything with the freezer that is above the fridge - not until February, when I get back. I tossed some mayonnaise that says "best by" 2 years ago.
Back to the bottom shelf!

Re: Sunflower Sunday
Bottom shelf done! All the condiments in the door can wait until another day.
I have potatoes, cauliflower, onions, carrots and already roasted brussels sprouts to eat this week. Food just doesn't disappear very fast when I am alone, and eat at the community meal on Mondays, and at church supper on Wednesdays. I received 3 vegetable cookbooks for Christmas - maybe I can find something interesting to make. And I have several chicken thighs in the freezer to start eating as well.
plus oranges, apples, lettuce and a pomegranate.
I guess all I need from the grocery store this week is milk. And molasses, because I have to bake bread to bring to my cousins.

Re: Sunflower Sunday
LOL, Germane is not very interested in what I am doing, Gma, but she has been coming out from time to time to ask for a treat and to check in to ensure that I am still here looking after her. I distracted myself ordering her pee pads online and checking out the clearance section while I'm there.
Big WTG on the fridge clear out. That is looming in my future at some point.
It looks like Monday has started, so I'll see you over there.
