Re: Trampoline Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, everyone!
Helia, I've watched the Miss Marple series with Geraldine McEwan. I found it enjoyable, but not as true to the books (there is no mention of any sweetheart in of hers that died in WW1 in the books). More importantly , she didn't look like , act like or sound like, "the quintessential little old English spinster. But I'm probably spoilt, as I've watched the Joan Hickson version over and over!
Walking inside on a cold, windy day sounds very wise, L.Ann!
Bama, extra layers on the bed sound very cosy!
Dogged, is Germane happy that she has more space in her pen?
(((Trissie))) That all sounds very challenging at work, but it does sound as though important people have your back. And I'm sure any prospective employer would snap you up very quickly.
Baking sounds the perfect occupation on such a cold day, KitKat!
WTG, Gma, for dealing with the mail straightaway!
Hi, Peaches!
This afternoon was punctuated with interruptions. First the vet's receptionist rang, asking if we could change Fred's next appointment as our preferred vet had managed to double book himself. She offered me one just 15 minutes later with the same vet, so all's good. (I think everyone else was relieved as well, as this means they don't have to deal with Freddie!!)
Then CES rang to check I could still let them into DF CW 's house tomorrow, as this time they're installing a new washing machine and oven for her. Yes, of course, but I will have to go back to my house just opposite as MJ will hopefully be doing my job. (I explained this CW, and she's happy - they're a very good local family owned firm). They also seem happy with this arrangement.
Then Dnextdoorneighbour C very kindly dropped around a butternut squash - I think it will make amazing soup. I'll have to look out my recipe!
This evening, DH has been launched to choral society, I've emptied the filing cabinet, stacked all the box files in crates, and sorted through one of them, decluttering. I still need to move the cat tray , water bowl and Jude's bowl, but I'll do that tomorrow so it isn't too disturbing for the kitties. I also need to do something in the kitchen!

Re: Trampoline Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Kitty, I'll look for the other Miss Marple TV series.
I think I'd learn a lot from it too, Kitkat. I've heard of Merlin and seen it in action, but I've never used it myself.
Looks like you have a lot of errands today, Gma. Are you leaving on your trip soon?

Re: Trampoline Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
LOL, helia, you have been to Whole Foods and back while I've been puttering around trying to convince myself to go out and do my errands. I think that it will work out. I start my errands really close to my house, and by the time I am doing the longest part, if I do that today, rush hour will be mostly over. Ours is weirdly early because of all the civil servants.
Hi, kitkat and Peaches
Gma, is it your birthday, or are you making calls to someone else?
I'm glad that the double booking for Freddie didn't require a big reorganization of your plans, Kittykatt. You are very much in demand!
Germane now lives in the bathroom and since I added the second water bowl in the kitchen, only goes into her pen for kibble. So I can fill it up to my heart's content. Until I want to leave the apartment, then I have to clear it back out and paper the pen with pee pads, which is good for keeping me in line.
I am spiffed and have put my leggings on under my pants and ready to face what's out there. After I get Germane settled in her pen. I'm sure that some of our SHEs will know what I'm talking about when I tell you that there is a level of cold where if your jeans accidentally touch your leg, it's like you're rolling around in the snow in your bathing suit.

Re: Trampoline Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
We have Robins, Chickadees, Cardinals, Bluejays, Canada Geese, Starlings... oh, and Red-winged Blackbirds. Those are VERY protective of their nests... Often, they swoop down and peck you if you are too close...
I discovered that some robins leave for the winter - others stay and feed on seeds/berries... They flock to some of my bushes:) Adorable.
MY pup loves watching them:)
