1-on-1 time with parents is great for the boys, and you get an afternoon relieved of the sibling rivalry.

I hadn't heard about the power outages in Montreal, kitkat. I hope that your power stays on through the storm. Woo hoo that the snow brought joy to dpup.

Germane is very pleased that breakfast included cottage roll and potatoes/vegetables from the slow cooker. I included some green beans in my breakfast bowl to have something to feed her that's not as salty. She is now campaigning for me to have a second helping so that she can have treats from the bowl, but I have had enough for now.

Not surprised helia's dh took a 9-mi run in the snow, lol. Agreeing with Doggedly wondering does he breathe through a scarf - seems like it would be good.

we are hanging on to the grid just barely. Just one blip, but now have it back. Have lost heat because brand new heat pump's compressor froze last night. My ds brought one space heater and we have one - both small. Lots of outages all around us, though, about halfway through the timeframe.

KitKat, I'm glad DPup has a good time in the snow. Freddie does not approve of snow (we occasionally get a few cm). He will put a paw out on it, and then demand its immediate removal!

Church today was ... interesting. This week we were doing a pulpit swap, so we had a visiting preacher from the local Baptist church. Let's just say the sermon wasn't what everyone was used to! But DF E was in very good spirits today, and we enjoyed our coffee together.

Today's lunch menu was roast chicken, roast potatoes, winter greens, carrots and creamed leeks, gravy, all followed by chocolate pudding.

It's rained for most of the day, but there were enough dry moments for me to take Fred out and have a few minutes in my front garden. This afternoon we've watched Poirot, and I've had Jude on my lap. Currently the TV is showing cat videos and Matilda is on my lap watching along with us.

Good afternoon.

((Gma)) I had hoped your flight was ahead of the weather. What a way to start a vacation. You will be pleasantly surprised by the weather when you get to your destination. Relax and know what’s ahead for you. (Disclaimer: I haven’t looked at weather forecasts so hoping I’m right lol)

We are at the very bottom of the front so mostly getting light rain today and it’s warm, we did get a loud storm earlier with local reports of tornadoes but nothing where I am, and it’s supposed to go below freezing all week now. I’m enjoying shorts today and will be wearing heavy clothes from now on. I’d rather wear shorts only bc it makes laundry a lot lighter!

I will catch up as we go. I’m supposed to be working. I told myself I would work :30, do paperwork :30 and rotate. Yall (posting here) are included in my pw :30. I’ve got paper piles all over my bed, my desk is too full to work at, with the tv on a Tokyo National Museum tour, making progress.
