I'm sorry about the cold, Lauralind. It makes a lot of sense to step back from things so that your body can rest and fight that cold.

Harriet, I hope that your new medical centre is as good as Kittykatt's.
You have come up with a diplomatic and effective way of dealing with disrespect.

Bama, I hope that the coffee does its job. I have a pot made, if you need.

Welcome back, trissie. That hour of down time was no doubt much needed.

kitkat, some plants are eyeing me resentfully and casting meaningful looks at your watered plants. They have given up comparing themselves to Kittykatt's plants, because every time they try I ask "Do you want to go outside like Kittykatt's plants? Even the dog won't go out there."

helia and L.Ann, speaking as someone who has no knowledge but read something online  I read a suggestion to put a large piece of cardboard or plastic or something under the bird feeder, and pull it up when the snow stops falling. That gives obligate ground feeders a better surface to find their seeds on the ground. They are less successful at digging the seeds out of the snow. Just like squirrels run around planting forests for future generations, the birds on the feeder are feeding the ground feeders.

helia, I am impressed that you can exercise first and then go on the grocery quest.

kitkat is getting running shoes, trissie.
Good luck with your 45!

Hello, everyone!

Helia, how nice to spend time with your DDs.

L.Ann, I hope today's appointment went well - iirc, it's the last one?

Wishing you successful.shoe shopping, KitKat

Harriet, I hope your appointment went smoothly.

Trissie, I hope it's something straightforward with your car that your local garage can sort out.

Bama, sending you finders vibes for their car title.

Laura, I hope you feel better soon.

Dogged, I regret to say that Freddie is totally unrepentant, and got angry again this evening when he was denied a second small piece of ham (DH brought pizza home for supper tonight, with some ham on the topping.) Fortunately no more biting, but Freddie is currently in the kitchen thinking over his sins!

I've gradually felt better as the day progressed. I decided to set the bar low and just concentrate on the kitchen today. DH came home in a much better mood and said he will hear tomorrow whether his bid for early retirement has been accepted. Ladies, your prayers would be greatly valued over this. He's really ready to go and start the next phase of life.

To improve upon them? Expand upon them?

Here's hoping that your DH gets to retire with the full package.

I'm back from (multiple) adventures:)
Got my new running shoes. (On sale!!!) Thanks for all your good wishes - they worked.
Had a nice outing with DD ( I don't go to malls much) - had a great coffee, too:)
Got my DLittles some gifts
Took my pup out in back for a good intensive play session with the flirt pole. She loved it. Walking outdoors was not too enticing: the wind just would not die down, so off we went for our store walk. While there I sat down on a bench and quickly taught her "under" where she settled under my legs.
Now, I shall take a hot bath break, feed dinner to pup, make dinner for us and see if I can get a lol going before we settle down tonight.

Thanks for all the Mojo! I'm so happy I got that stuff done today! You guys are the best.

We love you too, kitkat. Stop by for mojo anytime!

L.Ann, that is wonderful news, to be done with the treatments!

I have showered and washed hair. I'm going to do a box run to the basement, and I'll take recycling down if the bins for paper recycling are still in the building. If they have put them outside, I'll leave it until the bins are back.

Praying that DH will receive the full retirement package, Kitty.
Yay for being done with the treatments, L Ann!
Hello and good night all!

I'm going to bed and will be up early tomorrow morning. I'm meeting AC for coffee at 9, so I'll go to work early. Before my 11 a.m. class, I still need to create a quizlet set and review the intro video and vocab. Everything else I have ready -- oh, I also need to print out the syllabus and get to know you activity.

 check in with dfBS . I wasn't going to do that today, but I got a call from the "meals on wheels" people. They had delivered her meal to the basement, not the upstairs.
go for a walk - it just got too late. I didn't go for a specific walk, but I got my steps in anyway!
 tend to mother's house - I have blanket and bedspread to wash. she has a large machine, so I will wash and tend to her house at the same time. The bedspread and the blanket each interrupted their respective loads with UE for uneven. So the timer that said 45 minutes, still said 29 when my timer went off for checking it. And the lighterweight blanket siad 15 minutes. When I checked it 10 minutes later, and it said 12 minutes to go.
 found Valentines in her office drawer - got several addressed and to the post office
 mailed the TY notes and post cards I wrote yesterday. One needed extra postage.
 cleared off the K table of remnants of Christmas, have a (small) pile of correspondence to deal with
 put away a few dishes that I had hand washed.
 opened the curtains for a while
 Wednesday night church; supper was taco bar - I never make tacos at home.
 Met with tree trimming guy re: my 2 oak trees, plus a little more.
Left from yesterday, that will still need to be done tomorrow :!: AFTER I take dfBS to clinic for a breathing test and lab work.
But I don't think I have anything for the evening, so I can do those after her appointments and I get her home. Her clinic is in the same neighboring city, but I can't have ehr wait in the car or her oxygen tank will go empty.
go to neighboring city to buy ink for my printer (My town is small and doesn't have those big kind of stores)
get gas for car
Buy sympathy card for dear friends whose son died in his sleep a couple weeks ago - funeral is 3 hours away and I will go.

AND tonight I will definitely go to bed before midnight, so I can get up early enough to get all that done!
Which means that I better go put the clean sheets on the bed, with the clean blanket and bedspread!
