dishes are done & put away.
duds have been sorted and washer twins are going.
I have swiffered the floors in the main part of the house yea

We have diff. bands of rain coming through here today.
I'm just glad it's not so bitterly cold like it was last week & weekend.

Talked to dd about 40 minutes. She's home today - usually works from home on Monday anyway but her temple building is closed because of the snow today in NY. I told her to send me a photo.

Glad to see you checking in RR, let us know how those hearing aids are working for you. I mostly wear mine out of the house. If I'm home alone I don't need them, if dh is home the TV is already too loud. Of course, then both of us are saying "What" from the next room....

I slept better last night. DDog only up once, and dh took care of her.

Cloudy and 31 (feels like 21) isn't a day conducive to me going out to workout. I'm trying to be sure I get there, I'm dressed for workout and am not going upstairs where I might get absorbed and not want to go.

Mystery, dh stayed on his company's plan as long as he was working. We both signed up for part A only when eligible, I think you have to do that.

Here, dh is putting away his own laundry now that he's retired. I used to stress out because his drawers are so full, and then would sneak things out to give away.

Good afternoon ladies. I was perusing another thread where I thanked you all for adopting us from SheForums and had a nice chat with Lucylee and Twins Mom and they said to come find them here. SheForums stayed open until just a few weeks ago so I still posted there more with AtlanticFlyer - who says she is on here but I don't think she posts. What I liked out about our Coffee House it is was once a month that we changed, these daily changes here and with the Triple Dog Dare group makes me never able to keep up on news because I often forget to check in.

It only took me 10 months to come find you all.

On the laundry front - my husband is very OCD about the laundry so he usually does it but I have learned his ways. You sort by type of fabric cotton and polyester not lights and darks though I do a white load occasionally. Lights can go in polyester loads. Tshirts are folded military style. His shirts must only be on blue hangers and his pants on pants hangers with the support struts. He used to color code his shirts but found he wasn't wearing them, so now he rotates his shirts, if he skips a shirt 3 times he throws it out. He got rid of all of his black pants that way and his jeans, made me so mad. I told him he needed to wear black pants and he said he didn't have any. I said I have purchased you 2 pair. He said no I only have tan pants (beige variants0, I laughed and said no you don't and I went to his closet and looked and sure enough he had gotten rid of everything that wasn't in the tan family. He said I didn't tell him he didn't match when he wore tan pants with everything. I just rolled my eyes. When we were first married I did put outfits together on hangers he is that bad with color matching. I bought him another pair of black pants and a pair of jeans and I put them at back of closet with a cover over because sometimes you simply need these items but they don't have to be in the regular rotation. Also with the exception of one pair of tan dress pants which live at the back and are for Sunday, he wears convertible slacks that turn into shorts. His short sleeves are together and his long sleeves are together and he switches where they are in the closet at seasons. He makes the neatest little packages out of our underwear, I have the neatest underwear drawer. When he travels for extended times and I do my own laundry I do not fold underwear, I just dump them in the drawer. I forgot to fold them before he came home after a multi month absence. and he came home opened my drawer and freaked out. I laughed so hard. My closet is the neatest room in the house. My side they are arranged by size and I clean it out once a year and turn all of the hangers backwards until I wear them once. Whatever is still backwards at end of year I decided it I should keep or get rid of.

He also packs and unpacks for me often. I gather what I want but he puts in in the suitcase and when we arrive he insists on unpacking suitcases and putting away and then he packs us up to go home. I will help but like the dishwasher he usually redoes it so I let him. He is the same with dishes. I told him, picky people get to do that job. I will wash and dry and lay out in the basket so it doesn't wrinkle and I will help him fold at night but laundry is never out. Sometimes I don't unpack myself for days and it drives him insane. I appreciate his neatness but he has a messy office area and a clutter pile on the chair behind his desk. clutter piles drive me insane. My office is semi messy - we have a lot of problems with horizontal surfaces. We share a house with our 2 youngest adult sons and I have a cleaning lady once a month. We keep the dishes done and are within 15 minutes of company ready.

I retired last May but came back to work 12 hours a week in August. My last day is April 3, I won't be coming back in the fall other than to maybe substitute teach. We are traveling much of April, May and June this year. I have a conference in April though I am just driving back and forth each day as I don't want to stay in a hotel. April 26-May 17 we will be cruising from Miami and around Europe. Spain, Italy, France and a few other places. Then for 2 weeks in June we will be in England on a Canal Boat. Then no more traveling until hubby retires in December but we plan be in Australia for about 2 months and back in England for a couple weeks in the summer and many more places through out the year while we figure out retirement. I am going to start my SS early at 62 in May, I need to start that process soon. He will start his in January 2027 (I am a bit older).

Ramblinrose - my husband needs hearing aides. He has a bit of tinnitis from time in the military and he really does not hear well at all.

We are lucky we get to keep Federal insurance until my dh turns 65, since I am 8 months older I don't know what that means for me but we will have 3 years.

Trying to help my youngest age 27 with applying for jobs in his field. He has 3 side hustles that brings him in enough money he isn't upside down but not enough to live independently. He is our test administrator for the GED, does the filming of church on Sunday and posting it and runs his own IT Business that is just getting started so only works 3 to 5 hours a week. I just discovered that he doesn't even have a lInked In profile. He is on the spectrum and very hard to motivate.

I helped him update his resume the other day and it turned out great. I think he should do one of those services that auto apply like Sprout.

Monday is my day off. I may be going in to tutor but I think not until next week. I promised to tutor one of my old students math on Monday and Wednesday. for an hour or 2.

On my way home from the Monday morning Stitch group I made one DPC. Original appliance repair guy finally had the part. Oh well, too bad, so sad...

Now that is done.

Dishwasher is doing her thing. I think all of my appliances are female, because they help me do all the work around here. I'm seriously rethinking getting another cleaning lady to come every 2 weeks. I'll see what my bank account thinks about that after we renew the mortgage next month.

I'm so happy health care is free for Canadians. Yes, sometimes we have to wait longer to get various things, like CT scans, but I'm okay with getting them for free.

We aren't getting that huge storm that the eastern seaboard is getting, but we did have a tiny bit of snow last night/this morning. Less than an inch. No shoveling required.

Costume Lady - It is good to see your CI! I'm glad you found us again.

I am enjoying tweaking the pathway cards that are keeping me on track. A couple weeks ago i added CFO (financial officer) type tasks which I have mostly ignored forever. With repetition comes speed and ease - so now i can check multiple bank accounts and credit card account in less time it takes for a song to play....so about 3 minutes. I am glad to be keeping up with those financial things again and balancing to the penny each day. I plan to add more financial accounts in the future but first I want to make sure I don't overwhelm myself so....tiny baby steps added at turtle pace is my jam.

After picking DD14 up from school today we will immediately leave for her 4:30 appointment with counselor in the city. After that we need to swing by Sam's to get prescriptions that are waiting for us. DD14 will pick what place we eat at before we head back home.

Hi again, Costumelady! I have a 27-year-old daughter, also my youngest child. Your travel plans sound adventurous and fun. (great places as the topic says, lol) My dh and I are not travelers since treatments that compromise immunity, but maybe someday. I'm sure atlantic flyer will be popping back through soon.

Did Twins' Dad have a good time on his bowling travels, Twins' ? (I think I'm right on the time frame)

My DPC resulted in doing a chore for taxes, and I'm happy to report my part of that is printed, in a folder, labeled and paperclipped. Yay, me.

Also, a success that with many opportunities to get frustrated with my darling husband over the printing, my cool was kept.

Laundry delegation chat - I'm a "yes and no". HRH has been great about doing a good bit of this since I was under the weather so much last calendar year, but he gets interested (sidetracked?) in something else and forgets, so that my nagging is still needed. Right now, a load is residing in the dryer, and he insists I don't need to do anything about it... .. No, no, he's handling it... ..

Snowbound family and friends - all best wishes to everyone who is thinking of those so encumbered. I have a text question in to dd27 asking about all her coworkers there. The visual of Times Square this morning was surprising. I didn't know what I was looking at for a minute.

Yay!! I accomplished another job. Our "accountant" finally filed our 24 taxes. Now I don't ever have to go to his office again. I dropped these off last spring. Now I have, in writing from him, a letter stating that the 24 taxes should have been filed in June of 25. (Not my fault as he had them in his office before June of 25.) It also included a statement saying that they were finished and ready to be paid for on Feb 12/26. Why didn't I get a phone call letting me know this? Here it is Feb. 23/26 and they just got e filed this morning? Sorry, but you lost a customer. Grrr...

Any way... we are looking for a new tax filer because this guy was a joke.
