yes, I am hoping that there will not be an issue when they return late this week - Friday or Saturday. And they are on the east coast, the violence is on the west coast, so I believer they are safe.

yes, meds can cause diminshed appetite in animals as well as humans.

That's helpful info. Yes I think he is a little low appetite. The food technically is his medication so he should eat some. He actually doesn't seem to eat huge amounts regularly. Usually tho he will eat the bowl full once a day especially if I add something to it. I think it's antibiotics he's on. Plus the food. For crystals and maybe infection. He's perfect build but it's medicinal food. Need him to eat some.

Sending good thoughts to Gma's dfamiliy.

(((kitkat))) I hope that whatever is making your day stressful, clears.

Sending good thoughts Casper's way, Lauralind.

I swept and Germane came out to find her living room bed moved. Gave me the more in sorrow than in anger look.
I went to find a dustpan and came back to find that Germane had taken the bits back out of her dish and spread them back around the kitchen floor. I guess I've been told, LOL.

Tuesday
Breakfast for dog. She sampled her slow cooker and pronounced carrots and pork good, potatoes are will she won’t she.
Cleaned up after dog
Put away dishes
Mini grooming session for Germane
Reorganizing the shelving unit by the bed so that I can return the globe and lamp I had moved off to make room for new modem and router, and to give tech room to work. The globe and lamp then blocked the horizontal space I needed to move off boxes from entertainment unit, which in their turn block the image from the projector which stops me from setting up the new TV service.
Watched a couple of lessons on my course
Set up new TV app on projector: it installed but went into error every time I tried to start a show
Set up new TV app on my phone: working properly
Realized that the projector is connected to my other wifi
Got the projector set up for new TV app. It works now. Not usable in the afternoon because of the sun, but that’s a projector issue.
Spiffed self
Quick scrub of tub
Swept
Tried to find my usual dustpan. Searched to no avail.
Dug out another dust pan and swept up.
Washed floor

Dogged, you’ve reminded me that I want to buy a piece of pork, cut up into bite sized pieces and air fry, like chicken nuggets. That way I don’t have to touch a pork chop to eat it.
Yep, in my experience, small dogs have always been more “snappy” than large dogs. And super fast about it!
German shepherds are gnawers and general trouble makers until they reach around 2yo, then they’re wonderful. Beau had the sharpest teeth and loved toes. I’m glad he’s outgrown that.

Laura, hope you find something that works. I’ve never been able to get any animal to eat the specialty foods or take meds. I can syringe a cat in no time at all! So I buy the pro plan and mix a little in. The cats don’t know it but they get a little urinary tract speciality food mixed in with the other. If they know it they can’t be bothered to pick it out, as it all gets eaten and I figure a little is better than none.

(((Kitkat))), hope it (whatever is stressing you) turns out to be nothing.

LAnn, I just bought some organic castor oil to try for dh’s knee, heat on a rag and place on body part for a few minutes, so I’ll let you know if it helps.

Gma, praying for everyone’s safety. Enjoy your program.

Still haven’t packed up any donations, maybe this evening…

Done:
Up! always a good thing
Dogs out and in
Spot clean floors foyer, living room
Litter scooped
Inside pets fed, watered
Laundry - mop head out of washer to air dry
Throw out of dryer, folded and put on chair
Can’t weigh, scale died last week, new one arrives tomorrow
Water - 💧💧💧💧💧 in progress
Wfd? Made sloppy Joe mix yesterday when I split up pack of ground beef, ate the other half in a hamburger soup last night, so just need to heat and eat, will cook sweet potatoes to go with, yum
Breakfast ate and logged
Took supplements (fiber, ashwaganda)
Emails
Played game
Messaged guy on fb selling property near dh’s old home for information, then sent it to dh
Lunch ate and logged
Walked Beau around the yard, I walked and threw his ball and he would bring it back
Fed outside cat Lola and Tom turkey
There’s some kind of nest in the chicken brooder I need to get dh to check out, squirrel maybe?
Also need him to get a crate out for Thumper who is 8 years old and has decided if I leave him unattended that he has permission to pee on the rug and I gave his crate to dd1 for her dog a year or so ago
Saw large gray cat eating Lola’s food ugh, don’t need or want another cat to feed
Started trimming gardenias, dunno if I should keep them or not since the snow last year was pretty hard on them

Dh is home and chatting so cutting this short. Bbl.

We learned about the "triple harp" that was introduced around 1600 when musicians needed sharps and flats as composers added those to their music. I also learned that, although on the piano a "sharp" of one note is the same as the "flat" of the note above (on the piano), at one time they were 2 distinct tones.
I haven't moved enough today, need another 1500 steps, but the indoor track closes in 1 5 mintues, so I won't get there. for some reason, I am cold, even tho my house is defintely warm enough. maybe I should put an exercise dvd in, and get moving that way, and get my blood moving!
Accomplishemnts:
got new checking account started to manage mother's house - that took way longer than it should have - I think it was 1.5 hours yesterday, and another 2 hours today. There are still a few details to work out for the savings account!
folded and put away 2 lol
attended meeting of bank shareholders - I think I mentioned that my father wrote the history of the bank some years back, and part of his payment was bank stock, which I inherited. It's kind of fun to be part of a shareholder's meeting of a rather small group of people, and get to know some of the board of directors. We got a little gift: a notebook with a pen, and a gift certificate for 1 entree at local restaurant.

antibiotics can really do a number on appetite, and energy.

Just got off the phone with dh. His flight out of SF is delayed; he'l get home more like 8 am instead of 6 am. It's going to be a rough night for him -- and he has a long day tomorrow, a full day of payroll stuff, including teaching his class, and then giving an exam in the evening until 9:45.

That's a very long time to start up bank accounts, Gma. Glad you enjoyed the meeting!
Did you get donations packed up, Bama? We have bags of items to donate sitting in our laundry room; they really need to be taken out of our house.
LOL @ Germane, Doggedly!
((kitkat)), I hope the source of your stress is alleviated. I understand a favorite class/ instructor. Dh and I used to go to a specific barre class -- only because of the instructor.
You have a jelly cupboard, L Ann?

Next:
- garbage and recycling to the curb
- tea and reading time
- get ready for bed

Later:
- some qt
- garbage and recycling to curb
- writing time?
- reading time?
- other things?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self -- up!! I think the weekend goodies finally hit.

- email deletions + weather website - the sun may appear this afternoon.
- payroll: slides for AR D4
- payroll: quizlet vocab
- payroll: printed out practice midterm
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- made the bed
- pack a snack
- 10:45 gather everything and otd
- 11-1 payroll: teach AR D4
- 1:30 - 3 KS2J @ J's house
- home; snack/ 2nd part of lunch

Bama, I think that you feel about pork the way that I feel about liver. There wasa diner that I used to go to years ago that did a great liver and onions with bacon and mashed potatoes, but I have no desire to cook it myself.
When I worked in the kennel, we had a saying: a big dog will show you his teeth, but a little dog will use them.
I hope that the castor oil helps your DH.

Good night, kitkat. I hope that tomorrow is less stressful for you.

Gma, that is so interesting. When we listen to baroque music now, we think that we are hearing it as written, but apparently not.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the board meeting.

Dogged, have you tried red sweet potatoes for Germane, just wondering if they might taste better than other varieties ?
Funny dog quote Dogged, because it’s true in most cases.
We went to eat at a small diner Sunday and when we walked out there was a jeep parked by the door with the most gorgeous, fluffy, long haired german shepherd with his head out the window, the girls had gone out ahead of me, as soon as I stepped out and saw him I was like oh what a gorgeous animal and went toward him while the girls were stopping me, saying he might bite me. He was just staring at me, I think we bonded, the others think he wanted to eat me lol. I wouldn’t pet a strange dog without asking the owner, any size, but if he had been small I would have stepped away quickly.
I haven’t cooked cow liver, seems intimidating and a little gross, although it is delicious! I did cook chicken livers once or twice many years ago. Still a little gross but on a smaller scale so doable. The truck stop nearby cooks them so it’s cheaper and easier to just buy some when we want them.
One weird thing about dd2, she still only mainly eats chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese (like a 2yo) but loves chicken livers. Isn’t that odd?

Helia, I hope dh can sleep on the plane. Sounds like tomorrow might be a long day.
No donations packed today. I spent more time outside. I’ll get them tomorrow.
I did spend time videoing birds at the bird feeder. I filled the feeders earlier and the birds flocked to the feeders this evening. Dh would go out the door and they all flew to a tree in the back of the yard. When he came back in, they swarmed the feeders again. They did that several times and I caught it on video. Looks neat because there were so many and several different varieties. And they’re so fast, without crashing into each other. All watching dh.

Gma, I hope you warm up and aren’t getting sick. I love music so lived vicariously through both dd’s when they were in marching band. It must be interesting seeing behind the scenes of the bank board.

Idk what else I did so will leave it to your imagination. I vaguely remember cleaning more spots on the floor (grrr), cooking, eating, loading and running the dw, cleaning the kitchen, washed out some old soda bottles and left soaking since they still have dirt in them, will have to break out the bottle brush tomorrow. Had to docu-sign something the car dealer overlooked. Deleted a bunch of emails. After I unsubscribed or blocked a lot of spam, it’s all mostly back, ugh.

Well, good night, sweet dreams, meet ya back here tomorrow.
