William Wordsworth (7 April 1770 – 23 April 1850) was an English Romantic poet who, with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, helped to launch the Romantic Age in English literature with their joint publication Lyrical Ballads (1798).
Wordsworth's magnum opus is generally considered to be The Prelude, a semi-autobiographical poem of his early years that he revised and expanded a number of times. It was posthumously titled and published by his wife in the year of his death, before which it was generally known as "The Poem to Coleridge".

Helia, I hope Fable was well behaved so you were able to have a peaceful evening, even though you weren't at home.

Yikes on the bad tempered racoon , Bama! Definitely something for your DH to deal with! From your description of the other cat, it does sound from her behaviour as though she may be pregnant or nursing a litter of kittens.
It's such a worry when people don't spay / neuter, as the population can very quickly get of control. Our strange neighbours are like that, and of course, there's the language barrier as well. It's slightly bizarre though, when their cat got pregnant last year she was asking me who had a tom cat in the area. I told her that all the neighbouring toms have been neutered, and she's need to look further afield. And then, when she was trying to home the kittens, I suggested she had Meeka spayed to prevent any further problems, but she replied they "don't go to the vet". Sigh

I agree it's not the right one though, as when I played it I discovered it was released in the 1990s, so too recent,.and also, as you said, the lyrics didnt match. I'm almost certain it was produced in the mid 1970s, due to the frothy lyrics and catchy tune that was prevalent in European music then. Plus it would fit in.with the timings.if my French lessons and that particular teacher. I did try searching again, but every time Chat GPT (free version) came up with something that it said was the right song, and I asked it to play, it was the wrong song, or it then backtracked and said it wasn't the right song after all. However, I'm becoming more of am expert on 1970s French music!!! 
I'm inclined to think it was sung by a woman, due to all the references of her "diet",."vitamins" and her figure, which was much more of a female thing back then,.I don't think men in general were that interested then.

I never made it back yesterday. DH said he had noticed there were " lots of green leaves" growing out of the broadband box on the front wall of the house.
I went to investigate, and discovered it was the Campanula running a bit wild. So, the next hour was spent patiently pulling it all out by hand, digging out as.much root as possible, and laying a strip of bark mulch to discourage it from growing back. I'll need to keep an eye on it as I suspect I didn't get it all,.but fortunately it's easy.ro remove and the roots don't go down far so won't cause any damage.
Then I finished spreading bark on that patch in my back garden where we tread a lot, to stop it becoming.a mud patch - instant improvement! And then,. finally,.I started my housework. When DH left for choral it was still light enough to clean the patio doors and kitchen window, so that's another job to tick off the list. Freddie spent the day sleeping and eating -.somehow his appointment gave him a voracious appetite,.even though he didn't need to fast beforehand!
DH was also told yesterday his definite last day at work -30th September. He had hoped to leave earlier so he'd enjoy the summer retired, but this will.wok better in a way, as he can use his leave to work shorter weeks and gradually ease into retirement,.so it will be more of a transition and less of a big shock to the system.
His manager also leaves on that dates, so they'll go together, which is nice. (T lives in a neighbouring town,.so they have plans to stay in touch afterwards). Another big positive, apparently 30th September is a Wednesday, when he works in the office anyway,.so he can return all his kit there and then, without having to make a special trip in. (I think that has given him a big psychological boost! )
Today DH goes to the office, and I have a free day at home..It's also supposed to be the last sunny day for a while, so I want to make the most of it outside in my garden, and also go for a walk. I also need to clean my kitchen and I need to ring EE to cancel the landline (we haven't used it for a year!!!) and see if they can give us a better deal now we're out of contract..

Montbretia at the back are fine, with supports so they don't flop everywhere, and I can keep an eye on them to make sure they dont spread into everything. There is a hardy geranium that's looking sad, but it might do better with less competition andore light? Maybe I could just sow some low growing hardy annuals and see what happens?

kittykatt, I got sidetracked yesterday by trying to look for that song too, but no luck. Cafe Creme by Christine Pilzer was not it, but it was good nevertheless, and I ended up putting up a playlist of French 1970's singers for the evening clean-up 
Never made it here yesterday. Since DH was home with the kids, I was able to sneak in a 90 minute massage after work, then a quick Tesco run, so I didn't get home till after 6pm. House was slightly trashed, kids didn't do homework, and I had to cook dinner, so I just jumped in where I was!
Working from home today, it'll be back to office tomorrow and then Friday at home again. I was up early to see DS and DH off, so did some cleaning, but now it's time to concentrate on the stuff I am actually being paid for!

Good morning, Trissie! A massage sounds both wonderful and well deserved. I also discovered Cafe Creme by Christine Pilzer for the first time yesterday, and although it's not *the* song, I still enjoyed it, so I'm calling it a positive discovery.
I'm wondering if FFB will have any ideas? My other theories are that it could have been a local small scale release by a relatively unknown singer who my teacher knew, or maybe she had a BF who was a musician who wrote it (possibly for her), or possibly she even wrote and sang it herself! I remember she was very creative and musical,.so it's not beyond the bounds.of possibility. Unfortunately, she had a sad, short life and passed away at a relatively early age, so maybe we'll never know.
I meant to ask, are the girls.enjoying their spring break, or do they not surface very early in the mornings?

The weather forecast was somewhat "economical with the truth" today. Instead of the sun we were promised, it's cloudy and overcast, but on the bright side it isn't raining. I've been doing indoor jobs this morning, waiting for the sun to come out, but I don't think that's going to happen, so I'm going out in the garden and remembering to be thankful that at least it's dry and reasonably mild (12 C). My plans are to top dress those potted roses and maybe repot the one that needs it. Oh, and I noticed a few stray twigs on the hedge that could do with some attention.

I've already read through the material and had a good think about some of the issues raised, so hopefully it will take less time, but I'm still allowing myself plenty of time. Think about what I'm going to grow in *that* patch, which is sloping and shaded now the climbing hydrangea is gone. Montbretia at the back are fine, with supports so they don't flop everywhere, and I can keep an eye on them to make sure they dont spread into everything. There is a hardy geranium that's looking sad, but it might do better with less competition andore light? Maybe I could just sow some low growing hardy annuals and see what happens?
