kitkat, that's one curious pup. (My ds made a barricade to keep our cat out of one of his hiding places that was dusty, musty, dark. Cat always hid somewhere when we took him to my cabin. When cat first encountered barricade he literally yowled "damn!" then went to hide somewhere else. After that we left him home and had a neighbor come in and check on him while we were gone)
I have done my walk. that's it
Now to start other things, then head to church in 15 minutes to set up for funeral meal.

kittykatt, I just read Charge of Light Brigade, Crossing the Bar, then saw he also wrote The Lady of Shallott, which was referred to an Anne of Green Gables, so read it as well.

Hello, all. Thank you for another poetic start, Kittykatt, and for the reminder that some English phrases come from sources other than the Bible and Shakespear.

Sorry about the cucumber that managed to stay hidden until it was nasty, helia. It's a good reminder that I should take an inventory of my fridge. Safe trip!

DGD and ice cream sounds like a fun evening, kitkat.

Bama, I can completely understand tearing up over that. I think that it's empathy.

Gma, WTG on beating the scale. Enjoy the fish boil tomorrow!

I am at the end of Page 1, so time to get up.

(((Dogged))), hugs from one empath to another. I missed the cucumber, yuck.

Good morning LAnn, hope you get everything done and have some fun this afternoon.

Gma, lol at the cat. They’re stinkers! You’ve had more than your fair share of loss as well. I do hope you’re enjoying time with your fella and finding yourself after devoting so much of yourself to your dmom. I’m still working on that myself and it’s been almost 3 years. Time seems to blur and blend into itself.

I saw yet another cat yesterday, an orange (yellow to some people) that looks like one of mine, had to find mine to make sure he didn’t get out. So that’s 3 newbies stealing my babies’ food, the orange, a gray fluff ball, and dh says he has seen a black and white one (I haven’t seen that one yet). I have my suspicions, the neighbor wanted a cheap spay option about a year ago, I’m wondering if she didn’t follow through and this is that litter, and she made barn cats out of them.

Kitkat, I don’t eat much ice cream either but for some reason I added a pint to my grocery list last week. And my scale is up today as well. Cute pup trick.

I went down some online rabbit holes, closing open tabs of items that seemed appealing, ended up adding to my Amazon list but I did delete a bunch of “save for later”s too so it evens out. Holding off on ordering anything.

Got our flight confirmation email and I feel like I’m going to barf, leaving my babies and being gone for over a week, I’m used to feeling in control of everything and this is way out of my element.

LOL, kitkat, sometimes our pets are too smart for our own good.

I expect that your dcat was just as happy to be left in his own home, Gma.

You have been busy, L.Ann.

Bama, how frustrating, and a little discouraging, to keep finding more cats that your neighbours are not looking after.
For the worries about your trip, how much confidence do you have in the person who will be looking after your beasties while you are away? If it's someone that you really trust, then maybe you could focus on that when you start to get the queasy feeling.

Thursday
Cleaned up after dog
Put on a pot of coffee
Put away dry laundry
Did some translating for df
Breakfast for dog
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed some dishes
Wiped down accessible surfaces X 2
Put away some things from granny cart
Gave Germane her Apoquel
Cooked fish for dog
Put away dry dishes
Washed the dishes that were soaking and dumped the water
Decluttering
Washed Germane’s eyes and sore spots

Gma our cat used to hide above the beams in the basement...
They know what they are doing.

LAnn is always busy:) Dogged.
I miss the library... Used to walk there regularly with my DLittle GD. I like the quiet reading time that is so hard to find:)

Waving to Bama

Need to do another load then we are off for a store walk.
I don't think my post went through about the poor air quality here... (hence the store walk.)
We just finished playing 'find it" and 'jump over it' - she is restless - needs more.

I'm sorry to hear about your air quality, kitkat. It's moderate, here. Enjoy your store walk.
