oh my gosh - that made me smile d Nancy! dreams really do come true - pop tarts said so!!!!!

I made a mistake with the bacon I bought - I got the center cut instead of regular bacon - regular bacon releases more fat which I need for cooking my beef.

Got my tax stuff… $2995 due to IRS.

Roof man that I thought I had to wait on till the 17th is here. He was in the area and called to see if he could come on now.
I like him already but I bet he’s going to be very high dollar!
Tomorrow is another day.

I reached a point of being willing to put up with the hassle of shopping so I could get restocked on the cold/frozen items. It really doesn't take THAT long - an hour driving and an hour shopping gets it accomplished. Then another 20 minutes of unloading and putting away.

This morning I did a monthly card to put all of DH prescriptions & OTC meds in the 2-a-day containers. There are over a dozen pills so it takes awhile to do the 400 or so pills into the correct slots.

ANYway, I'm glad to have those things done.

We have 4 extra people here today - 2 working in the shop and 2 hanging around with DS17.

I have 15 minutes to put my feet up before leaving to get DD14 from school.

I brought the compost bin back to the house before it rained.
All 3 litter boxes got deep cleaned.
I am working on getting pots and pans done. All large utensils are done other than the sharp knives.

Boiled whole carrots to have with the chicken drumsticks that are going into the oven soon. I will be putting a bit of honey over the carrots and then some garlic. I found a recipe for glazed carrots. I also found a recipe for roasted garlic carrots. I'm going to add minced garlic to the honey glaze. Ta da!! Honey garlic carrots!

Team Gushue beat Teams Jacobs in the curling!! Woo hoo!! Team Jacobs won the gold medal at the Olympics.

I am super excited to found my pepper plants for the 2026 garden. These plants are from my favorite tried and true place. I limited myself to 12 pepper plants so I had to be selective. I got two unknown varieties to try but everything else is a proven winner. i went with mostly sweet peppers but did get a couple hotter ones.
Sweet peppers -
Early Sunsation
Red Beauty
Colossal
California Wonder x2
Sweet Banana
Yolo Wonder
Giant Marconi x2
Tricked you....is this sweet or hot? hum...

Hot Peppers
Tam Mild Jalapeno
Cajun Belle

I am home from workout and feel like I can't lift my arms. I am tired today. After the workout I went by the plant nursery and walked around. Their hanging basket ferns aren't in yet, he said will be next week. And I talked myself out of putting any pansies out. It's nearly 80 degrees today and they won't last long. I know we'll have cooler weather still but I think it's not worth it for now.

Dog has been walked - dfriend M was going by with Ruby so we joined her.

I'm watching another webinar at five p.m. and then at 6:30. Dh is bowling tonight. And I booked an appointment for a pedicure tomorrow. It's time.

Glad you're seeing roof man today, Lucylee, and I hate it that you're owing taxes. You might want to increase your withholding on your pension and/or social security for 2026.

I bet your house smells good, Nancy! How do you bake so much bread when you're diabetic? I pretty much gave up on baking challah because dh doesn't need to be eating it.

LadyM, it's still a chunk of time, glad you're restocked for that hungry household of yours.
