Wow, helia - 3 mile jog plus 10 bags DC? You are superwoman!

I disappeared... slowed down... After my gym, the wind died down and I was able to walk ddog for :35 in my neighbourhood. Worked hard with her: rewarded her for the attention she gave me, rewarded her when she ignored dogs passing (on the other side)... Made her walk back and forth so she would get used to dogs across the street. Later, chatted with a neighbour who was walking her lab home after their walk and the dogs stood by very casually - about 10-15 ft apart. No issues. (A huge win for me)
I was so pleased, that after a 2 hour nap(mine), I took her out for another (brief) walk. :D
Hope tomorrow is a better day b/c I'm so tired that I just could not get anything going...
But, I finished my book.

Have a good night everyone!

Big WTG on your two big accomplishments, helia. That is a lot of decluttering, and a lot of exercise.
Do you carry a little keyboard for your phone? I would resist doing that much typing on my phone without the external keyboard, LOL.

Waving to kitkat and Kittykatt.

I have flipped the laundry and given Germane a piece of fish.

To clarify - the 10 garbage bags have been sitting in my laundry room since I washed all my mom's stuff in September/ October of 2025. I did not recently do a big decluttering push. LOL!

Doggedly, I rarely type on my phone. I do most of my typing on my laptop. I guess it's technically a MacBook Air - very lightweight, very long battery life, and I've had it for years and it still functions well. I don't like to update my technology even when it needs it. WTG on the laundry progress.
Wow! Your lab pup is doing very well, kitkat. Kudos to both labs for standing casually 10-15 feet apart with no problems!

Dh has a bee in his bonnet about the European reservations and now wants to get our summer travels sorted tonight, specifically train tickets (TGV) in France. They're booking up fast?? We'll be there around the time of the eclipse - but not in the prime locations and times. . . Anyhow, we're punting taxes to Tuesday night, our next open night.

Next:
- back exercises
- eat something
- some qt while eating

Later:
- fold and p/a towels
- read dh's chapter
- writing time
- other things?
- duolingo
- update health apps
- get trip reservations sorted out

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - slightly higher than yesterday
- coffee and tea
- long chatty email to ML
- shorter email to EP
- email deletions + weather website
- back exercises
- dressed to jog
- lunch
- loaded car with 10 bags
- SA drop off
- jogged at park
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- coffee shop with dh - 1st was closing so we went to a 2nd
- payroll: worked on updating website; I think I forgot some things + I don't have all the info I need, so will wait and ask CM on Monday. Otherwise, I'll spend hours on something that should take 20-30 minutes.
- another email reply to EP; her ds decided not to go to UM -- maybe for grad school. I can hope!
- dinner: leftover pasta, mixed veggies
- after dinner clean up
- dh refilled bird feeder
- I brought in firewood
- dh made a fire!

That all makes sense, helia. But I still say that it's a win. :D
Your DH has a point. People can get very weird about eclipses.

I've got my laundry back, and I'm just eating supper before I start hanging it.

Hi honeys, I’m home.

All that decluttering still counts, helia. Have fun planning travels.

True about odd behavior and eclipses, Dogged. Is the eclipse only available to see in Europe? I haven’t heard anything about it. I’ll have to look it up.

I type everything on my phone. My fingers have learned most of the keyboard and with auto keying or whatever you call it, my phone usually guesses what I mean and changes misspellings, sometimes anyway.

Wtg on finishing your book and a well behaved pup, kitkat.

Laura, hope the washer is just a glitch. “They just don’t make em like they used to” said in my old woman tone lol.

Dh and I have the most interesting conversations eating out… “My friend Dogged had to go to the vet and got pooped on on the way there”, “Kittykatt had a woman show up at her house expecting a puppy”… any eavesdroppers must think I’m senile.

I ate an onion sandwich for supper, So good if you like onions, just white bread, mayo, sweet onion, yum. Now watching Matlock the new version before we go to bed.

LOL Bama!! I sometimes update dh on happenings here, and yes - it probably does sound pretty humorous out of context. Look at all those stars! WTG!
How did I miss that Doggedly got pooped on en route to the vet? Oh - that was a while ago, right? I do vaguely remember that now. . . Glad you got your laundry back!!

OK, dh and I sat down together and. .
- made a schedule for when we are going where
- he booked trains (all of them?)
- I booked a bnb in Spain

So, we've made good progress. He already had a small chalet booked a couple days before the hut tour to help me acclimate to the altitude. I'm hoping I don't get sick on this hut tour. Typically, I get stomach issues every time we hike in the mountains. After decades of doing this, we now think I struggle with altitude sickness.

Bama, what is a sweet onion? I'm trying to picture a raw onion that would be okey to eat with mayonnaise. Is it like chives maybe?
You have a point, Bama. That would sound funny to anyone out of context, LOL.

That sounds like a good plan, helia. I didn't know that some people were more sensitive to altitude than others. I guess it's like motion sickness?

I've got the dw set up and started, so I will have some clean clothes and clean dishes tomorrow.
