Oh, Bama! I literally laughed out loud at your horse stories. I can see why you're good. At a barn show once when I was a teenager, my saddle slid off, and I fell - right before a jump. The previous rider had not tightened the cinch properly. It was really hard to do, but I tightened the cinch, got back on the horse - and we completed the (very simple) jumping course without a problem. I gained new appreciation for the saying, "get back on the horse". You were very kind to that possum.
I hope Germane is feeling better, Doggedly. That was one well-trained horse! Sounds like fancy dressage moves to me. Glad you missed the freezing rain. Love that Anne Shirley quote.
Enjoy chatting with your friend, kitkat. Our bird feeder sat empty for a few days, but dh refilled it last night, and the birds quickly found it.
That soup sounds delicious, great for a chilly spring day, L Ann.
Oh no on the 2 root canals, Gma. You've got enough to stay busy today.

I checked a map too because I like maps a lot. We're parallel to the most southern part of Canada. In fact, we're only about 45 miles straight west from Windsor, Canada. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is farther north than Ottawa. (I was curious.) It looks like a lot of Minnesota is farther north than Ottawa. Bama, if you make a road trip, you can come through Michigan and pick me up! LOL! Actually, it might be shorter to angle across the country and go under Lake Erie and Lake Ontario rather than over (through Michigan).

OK, I need to get some things done. It is now 3:30. Hmm.... I don't think everything on my list is going to get done.

Bama I love horses - but chickened out when it came to riding... They are lovely animals - with a lot of empathy, like dogs.
Hope your doggie's eye improves quickly. My doggie is prone to allergies, I watch her like a hawk. Benadryl is the first weapon if it IS indeed allergies.
Gma IKWYM about the changing weather... We are back to winter : flurries.
helia I'm sure it will be a productive day !
Dogged thanks for the suggestion to use the comp. for radio. ( I knew I could... but somehow did not think of it...)
Sorry to hear Germane was not doing well.:(
LAnn how did your weather turn out? What is your current book?
Kittykatt How is your garden doing? (I know you are way ahead with seasons:))
Back from walk,

We had flurries today too. My students were very distracted by them. Many are new to the USA and think this is an unusual occurrence since it's March. I had to explain that it's very normal here. . .

On the Benadryl - liquid or pill and does flavor matter? I’m guessing liquid but it’s cherry flavored, is that ok? Is generic ok?

Bama I'd avoid all flavoured stuff - pills would be best. (Nothing chewable... no Xylitol ) You might want to confirm doggie's weight.

My progress today was limited to laundry.
LAnn you read wide range of books:). That's the way I like it, too.
Hope Germane has a good night.

I'm off to move the last load (for today) - then it's dinner and a basketball game (on tv).

Have a good night everyone.
